‘Game of Thrones’ Star Indira Varma Cast in Star Wars ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Disney+ Series. It seems Lucasfilm is invested in introducing more Game of Thrones actors and actresses into the Star Wars Universe!
Actress Indira Varma has joined the cast of Obi-Wan Kenobi in an undefined role for the series. Varma is bet known for her role as Ellaria Sand in HBO’s Game of Thrones, and was coincidentally the love interest for Pedro Pascal’s Oberyn Martell. Pascal has won over Star Wars fans as the infamous bounty hunter Din Djarin in The Mandalorian.
Reportedly, the Obi-Wan Kenobi series is set 10 years after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. Currently, the show will star Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan, with Hayden Christensen returning as Darth Vader for the limited series. Obi-Wan Kenobi will premiere exclusively on Disney+ at a to be determined date and has begun filming in Little Marlow, Buckinghamshire.
Are you excited for the new Star Wars series coming to Disney+? What other Star Wars stories would you like to see on the streaming service? Who do you think Indira will play in the series? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments.
Be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for updates and all things Star Wars and Disney+!

Disney chefs have been busy creating menus that include new items and several favorite classic dishes from around the resort for the ‘A Touch of Disney‘ limited-capacity ticketed experience that begins March 18th, Thursdays through Mondays, from noon – 8 p.m.
This Food Guide lists all the bites – sweet and savory – and refreshing sips at the more than 25 locations – including six marketplaces themed for A Touch of Disney. In addition to all the great food and drink, you’ll have a chance to see Disney characters, shop for the latest Disney merchandise, and pose at fun photo locations.
Disney encourages you to take advantage of mobile orders on the Disneyland mobile app for added convenience and promote contactless payment. We have noted the mobile order locations at A Touch of Disney in this Foodie Guide, and, yes, you can now even mobile order a churro from Cozy Cone Motel in Cars Land!
Beginning March 11, table reservations for Lamplight Lounge and Carthay Circle Lounge – Alfresco Dining will be made available for A Touch of Disney. Table reservations do not provide admission to A Touch of Disney. A Touch of Disney ticket is required to dine at those locations on the same day as the table reservation.
To help maximize your time – and minimize contact with others – during your visit to Disney California Adventure park, we are now offering mobile check-in and mobile wait-list at select locations, available on the Disneyland mobile app.
Mobile check-in – If you have a confirmed reservation at Lamplight Lounge or Carthay Circle Lounge – Alfresco Dining, you’ll receive a push notification on the Disneyland mobile app when your check-in window arrives. Scan your QR code near the restaurant’s entrance; there’s no need to visit the host stand. You will be seated once your entire party has arrived.
Mobile walk-up – While dining reservations are highly recommended, you can also add yourself to the mobile walk-up list (subject to availability) for Lamplight Lounge and Carthay Circle Lounge – Alfresco Dining using the Disneyland mobile app. If you don’t find walk-up list availability right away, you can check estimated wait times and look for reservations that may be available later in the day.
Be sure to visit Disneyland.com/ATouchofDisney for additional details, including all health and safety measures before arrival. You’ll find everything you need to know before you go.

Mirror mirror on the wall, which donuts are the fairest of them all? These Snow White Apple Cinnamon Donuts of course!
These little treats are extremely cute! They feature our original princess Snow White, the adorable seven dwarfs plus the iconic apple, don’t worry this one is not poison. To make them even more tastier then your regular donuts, these ones are made with applesauce and a dash of cinnamon!
Spray the donut pans with non-stick cooking spray or coat with melted butter. Set the pans aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and salt.
In a smaller bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, butter, applesauce, and vanilla extract.
Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir together until all are combined and no flour clumps remain. Try not to overmix the batter.
Pipe the batter into the donut cavities using a piping or zip-top bag. Cut a corner off the bottom and pipe the batter into each cavity, filling 3/4 of the way. Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes.
Remove donuts from the oven and allow to cool in the pan before inverting them onto a wire rack. While they are cooling, make the glaze.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and heavy cream. (If the glaze is too thick, add additional cream, about 1/2 tsp at a time until the desired consistency is reached.
Divide the icing into 7 small bowls to make red, beige, brown, green, blue, yellow, and white (leave icing as is for white).
Add food coloring into each bowl, corresponding to each of the character’s clothing.
For Snow White and the Dwarfs, dip 1/3 of each into the beige icing for their faces. Then add a nose with the same beige color, using a toothpick. Spread on the other colors for their clothes with the back of a small spoon.
For the Dwarfs beards, pipe white icing then sprinkle shredded coconut on top.
Using melted dark chocolate and a toothpick, draw the faces, belts, and Snow White’s hair.
Make the royal icing: Add powdered sugar, meringue powder, vanilla extract and water into the bowl of a stand mixer with the whisk attachment. Start mixing on low until incorporated and then beat on medium-high until stiff peaks form (around 5 minutes).
Divide the icing into separate bowls and add the food coloring needed for each detail (hats, bow, and apple leaf). Then use the royal icing to pipe the shapes onto parchment paper (red for Snow White’s bow, green for the apple leaf, and various colors for the hats). Let them dry for about 1-2 hours.
Then peel off the parchment. Attach the pieces onto the character donuts with a bit of white royal icing and they’re ready to go!
Amber Heard NOT Fired From ‘Aquaman 2’. Rumors began spreading like wildfire that Amber Heard has been fired and potentially replaced as Mera in the Aquaman franchise, but THR’s Ryan Parker revealed a reliable source working on ‘Aquaman 2’ shared that Amber Heard’s reported firing was “inaccurate”.
In 2020, Amber Heard shared her excitement for the upcoming film with Entertainment Weekly, stating: “I’m super excited about the amount of fan love and the amount of fan appreciation that Aquaman has acquired and that it has garnered so much excitement for Aquaman and Mera that it means we’ll be coming back. I’m so excited to film that.”
She continued, “Paid rumors and paid campaigns on social media don’t dictate [casting decisions] because they have no basis in reality. Only the fans actually made Aquaman and Aquaman 2 happen. I’m excited to get started next year.”
Amber Heard and ex-husband Johnny Depp are currently in several major legal battles in both the US and UK courts regarding accusations of abuse on both sides throughout their tremulous and toxic relationship. The accusations alone have caused a stir in the career of Depp, having been dropped by Disney in the role of Captain Jack Sparrow and Warner Bros. as Grindelwald in the Fantastic Beasts franchise. Currently, the accusations and lawsuits have not led to her losing work or her currently contracted roles.
This is a a developing story so be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for updates and all things entertainment!
I don’t know about you, but I haven’t had enough cookies from Gideon’s Bakehouse yet. It doesn’t matter that they’re half a pound each. They’re delicious, they keep well in the freezer, and there’s a new flavor every month to keep me coming back for more! This month’s flavor is Peanut Butter Chocolate Swirl! Wow!
You can’t leave Disney Springs without a little treat for the hotel room (or the car ride home if you’re like me!) and lately, it seems that Gideon’s is the leader in portable snacks. At $6 each, these cookies aren’t cheap, but they’re so big that you can share or take your leftovers with you. Chances are they won’t last long with this new flavor though! Talk about a peanut butter cup in cookie form.
This cookie has a peanut butter cookie dough base, mixed with chocolate cookie dough, with chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, and candied peanuts baked into the top. It’s super-rich, and like all of Gideon’s cookies, moist and dense. If you love peanut butter, upgrade this cookie with a little tub of peanut butter frosting available for purchase at the counter. It’s a great cookie dip!
This flavor will only last through March, so be sure to grab yours before the month is over. In April we will get a whole new cookie to try! So stop by Gideon’s Bakehouse on your next trip to Disney Springs and ask for the Peanut Butter Chocolate Swirl cookie!
We are getting closer and closer to the opening of Universal’s Jurassic World VelociCoaster. The newest thrill ride is set to open this summer. VelociCoaster has been testing and Amusement Insider has taken video of the ride testing at night.
Video Credit: Amusement Insider on Youtube
We love how this roller coaster looks at night! The blue lights really pop. We reported the walls being removed and since then you get such a great view of the details inside.
The lights are also on outside of the VelociCoaster. Set around what’s supposed to be the paddock area, are red lights at each section.

Also, new this week is the official VelociCoaster sign! Universal put up the signage for the coaster this week and we are obsessed with the details. This looks exactly like the ride signage in the Jurassic World films. You see a glimpse of it during the Gyrosphere scene.

If all of these are the details we can see so far I can’t wait to see the epic details inside the actual ride. Stay tuned for all the latest VelociCoaster news and updates. We will be updating often especially when we finally get that official opening date!

Complete the Garden Graze at your leisure, and you can even bring back your stamped Festival Passport to EPCOT at any time during the festival to complete your Garden Graze.
However, the park map does reveal some interesting details…
The new park map promotes the upcoming Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure ride. No exact date has been given yet, but it should be opening very soon! We’ll announce the opening date when more information is available.
The second surprise is seeing the park map promote the future site of another thrilling attraction. We are certainly excited to see the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind roller coaster!

Fans Petition for ‘Hamilton’ Cast to Perform at the 2022 Super Bowl Half-Time Show. There is no denying the popularity of the hit musical ‘Hamilton’ created by Music Composer and Actor Lin Manuel-Miranda, with the musical setting records both on Broadway and when a film adapted version of the musical debuted on Disney+ in 2020.
Now, fans are calling for the cast of Hamilton to be the leading act of the 2022 Super Bowl Half-Time Show. Though the leading performance is usually given to top charting artists and bands, the award winning musical wouldn’t be out of place and could easily do a Hamilton Medley for a half-time performance.
Would you like to see ‘Hamilton’ featured in next years Super Bowl? What other acts would you like to see take the stage? We would love to hear your thoughts in the comments. Be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for updates and all things entertainment!
