Minnie Mouse takes center stage as the factory’s caring director, leading a dream team that includes Chip ‘n’ Dale as the comedic duo, Donald Duck managing every technical detail, and Daisy Duck bringing her signature energy to keep spirits high.

Guests will be immersed in a redesigned appearance featuring playful nods to Minnie and a vibrant new lighting atmosphere. The show will also debut stunning new costumes designed and created at Disneyland Paris, along with brand new surprises.

Annette’s Diner Serves Up a Retro Refresh

Starting January 5, 2026, Annette’s Diner located in Disney Village will close for a significant refurbishment lasting several months. These changes will bring fresh updates while preserving the retro charm that has made it a favorite since 1992.

The renovation includes expanded kitchen space and a complete refurbishment of the dining room, from new floors and furniture to reimagined design elements. Iconic features such as the bar will receive a striking new façade inspired by the metallic aesthetic of classic American diners, while booths will debut an all-new look in vibrant candy-pink and turquoise-blue tones.

New Coaster Construction Takes Shape Where Rip Ride Rockit Once Stood at Universal Studios Florida

Construction is officially picking up speed on the mystery roller coaster replacing Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit at Universal Studios Florida, and new aerial photos by @bioreconstruct on X are giving us our best look yet at what is coming next. Recent images shared by bioreconstruct show multiple concrete footers now in place around Universal CityWalk and inside the park, signaling that this project has moved well beyond simple site prep and into early structural development.

From above CityWalk, short round concrete columns topped with wooden forms and surrounded by exposed rebar dot the landscape, clearly marking future track locations. Wire frames in several areas indicate where additional footers will soon be poured, and the overall footprint of the coaster is starting to become easier to visualize. Rip Ride Rockit was fully demolished by late October, and while Universal has not announced what will replace it, the scale of this new attraction already looks substantial.

Inside the park, areas near where the iconic Rip Ride Rockit tower once stood reveal preserved footers that may be reused as construction continues. Much of the new coaster appears to be routed through the canyon space behind Music Plaza, with a station and service buildings beginning to take shape nearby. Construction equipment and materials currently fill the area, suggesting it is being used as a staging zone during these early phases.

Another interesting detail can be spotted near the fire station facade, where Rip Ride Rockit’s track once passed through. New footers and concrete blocking are visible here, strongly hinting that the upcoming coaster will once again interact with this facade as part of its layout.

Adding even more intrigue, construction walls inside the park recently received new themed posters featuring references to Blues Brothers, Back to the Future, Ghostbusters, and Fast and Furious. Whether these are simply playful nods to Universal’s history or subtle clues about the coaster’s eventual theme remains to be seen, but they are already fueling plenty of fan speculation.

Universal has not shared any official details about the ride’s theme, manufacturer, or opening timeline, but judging by the progress visible now, this is a project we will be watching very closely in the months ahead.

Google Removes AI Disney Character Videos After Cease and Desist

Google has begun removing dozens of AI generated videos featuring Disney owned characters after receiving a cease and desist from the company, marking a major moment in the rapidly evolving relationship between artificial intelligence and intellectual property. The takedowns affect YouTube videos that used AI to generate content featuring characters like Mickey Mouse, Deadpool, Moana, and other well known Disney and Marvel figures, according to reporting by Deadline.

The removals come on the heels of Disney’s newly announced three year, $1 billion licensing deal with OpenAI, which allows select Disney characters and IP to be used within OpenAI’s video generation platform, Sora. Shortly before that deal was revealed, Disney sent Google a strongly worded cease and desist letter accusing the company’s AI services and training models of infringing on Disney copyrights on what it described as a massive scale.

Google confirmed it is cooperating with Disney’s request. In a statement, a Google spokesperson said the company has a longstanding relationship with Disney and emphasized that Google has implemented copyright protections such as Content ID on YouTube and additional controls designed to give rights holders more authority over their content.

According to sources familiar with Disney’s internal thinking, the timing of the cease and desist was deliberate. Disney views its OpenAI partnership as proof that AI development does not have to exist in a legal gray area and that technology companies can work with creative industries while respecting the value of original works. Disney leadership has framed the move as setting a precedent for how AI platforms should engage with copyrighted material rather than freely training on it.

While Google has not disclosed the full scope of the removed videos, reports indicate that dozens of AI generated clips featuring Disney owned characters were taken down. The move underscores how aggressively Disney is protecting its intellectual property as generative AI tools become more powerful and more widely accessible.

Settlement Reached in Epic Universe Stardust Racers Death

Universal and Family of Kevin Rodriguez Zavala Reach Agreement Following Epic Universe Tragedy

Universal Orlando Resort and the family of Kevin Rodriguez Zavala have reached an amicable and confidential resolution following Zavala’s death after riding Stardust Racers at Universal’s Epic Universe. Attorneys representing the family confirmed the agreement on Saturday, Dec. 13, asking for privacy as they move forward.

The resolution comes just days after both the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and the Orange County Medical Examiner released their final reports, concluding that Zavala’s death was an accident and that no criminal activity occurred. Investigators determined the ride operated as intended and that Universal team members followed proper safety procedures during the attraction’s operation.

Kevin Rodriguez Zavala, a 32 year old theme park enthusiast, became unconscious and unresponsive while riding Stardust Racers on Sept. 17, 2025. First responders were called to the scene, and Zavala was transported to a nearby hospital, where he later died. The Medical Examiner ruled the cause of death as multiple blunt force injuries. Stardust Racers was temporarily closed following the incident and reopened on Oct. 4 after inspections and reviews were completed.

According to investigative reports, Zavala was able to board the ride and receive a green light indicating his restraint was secured, though it took multiple attempts. Witness statements, including from his girlfriend who was seated next to him, indicated Zavala struck his head repeatedly during the ride’s course. Paramedics later noted severe injuries when the train returned to the station.

Universal leadership previously shared with employees that extensive reviews were conducted alongside state officials, the ride manufacturer, and independent engineering experts. Nothing has been officially announced yet, and no permits have been filed for a Disney Springs site, but the fact that it is being openly discussed signals that the idea is very much in play. Disney Announces End Date for Santa Jack and Sally Meet-and-Greets

Make your plans now! Santa Jack and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas are currently greeting guests in New Orleans Square at Disneyland Park, but the magic won’t last long. The resort has announced that the final day for this popular meet-and-greet is December 24th!

Don’t miss the chance to meet Santa Jack and Sally in New Orleans Square! They will be greeting guests in the Royal Courtyard through December 24. Make sure to catch Jack, who is rocking an exciting new, more film-accurate look that debuted at Disneyland and Walt Disney World this year!
