‘Hamilton‘ May Reopen Broadway When Curtains Rise Again in 2021. The cast of Hamilton is not going to miss their shot at being the first performance to return to Broadway after the COVID-19 shut down.
Hamilton is rumored to return to the stage at Richard Rodgers Theatre on July 4, 2021. The theater may be able to open sooner if the COVID-19 vaccine is deemed successful and Governor Cuomo issues a reopening order in the new year.
According to an insider, the reopening date is not a coincidence, and would purposely be chosen to parallel the events featured in the hit musical including the drafting and signing of the Declaration of Independence.
“Hamilton is the Broadway musical about the life of American Secretary of Treasury and Founding Father, Alexander Hamilton, with the lyrics, music, and book written by Lin-Manuel Miranda and based off of the biography Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow.”
Currently, a filmed version of the hit musical, Hamilton, is available to stream exclusively on Disney+. Be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for updates and all things entertainment!
