Nothing ruins pictures in Walt Disney World quite like construction going on in the background. Sometimes you plan and daydream how your kids will look in a particular spot, but when you get there, ready to say “cheese, ” there’s a hideous brown scrim blocking the view. That’s been the case the last several weeks at Peter Pan’s Flight in the Magic Kingdom. However, a decorative scrim has finally been put in place to help the area look beautiful again!
The new scrim mimics the look of the attraction’s exterior, so you know what it looks like underneath. That’s especially nice for first-time Walt Disney World guests. While the main entrance remains untouched, much of the building is now covered, leaving us to wonder how long the upkeep will take and how much more will eventually be hidden from sight.
The queue remains largely indoors and simply goes around the scrim when necessary. Much like “It’s a Small World” during its update last year, once inside you wouldn’t know that a paint job is taking place. And now that the “happiest cruise that ever sailed” has been refreshed, it looks as good as new. We can’t wait to see how Peter Pan’s Flight looks when it’s done!
Prepare all of your candy melts and toppings into small bowls.
Melt 12 ounces of pink candy melts and spread onto baking sheet.
Working very quickly, place the larger white candy melts onto the pink chocolate as Mickey’s head, and place two white chocolate chips on either side as Mickey’s ears. Continue to build more Mickey shapes all over the bark.
Add mini Robin eggs candy and sprinkles.
Allow bark to set completely before breaking into pieces.
Star Wars Rebel’s Character to Replace Cara Dune in ‘Rangers of the New Republic’ Series. Star Wars fans have been curious to see how Disney+ and Lucasfilm will move forward with several Star Wars projects after Gina Carano was fired from The Mandalorian after repeatedly posting insensitive and anti-Semitic content to her social media accounts.
Now, it seems the studio’s have readjusted their plans for Rangers of the New Republic and the leading role meant to be held by Cara Dune will be replaced with a character from Star Wars: Rebels.
According to LRM, Hera Syndulla will be making her live-action debut in the upcoming Star Wars live-action series. This isn’t a far stretched choice, especially since it is rumored Ezra will be joining the congruent timeline of The Mandalorian in either Rangers of the New Republic or the Ahsoka series starring Rosario Dawson, or potentially in multiple series at some point.
Reportedly, Aladdin’s Mena Massoud has either been cast or in being eyed for the role of Ezra for the Star Wars Universe, but Lucasfilm has not confirmed the characters appearance or casting at the time of writing.
After the introduction of Bo-Katan Kryze and Ahsoka, fans of the animated Star Wars series The Clone Wars and Rebels have been eager for other beloved characters to join the fray. With Dave Filoni as one of the show runners for the live-action series, we have a feeling we won’t be waiting for long!
Are you excited to see more of the animated characters making the leap to live-action shows? Who do you want to see next? Which Star Wars projects are you eager to see? We would love to hear your thought in the comments.
This is a developing story, so be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for updates and all things Star Wars and Disney+!
According to Sports Business Journal and Variety, there’s potentially big news coming regarding Disney and the NFL.
Disney has reportedly reached a “broad agreement” on a media rights agreement with the National Football League. If it goes through, we will see the Super Bowl return to the company’s ABC network for the first time in more than a decade. The last Super Bowl on ABC was the 2006 game. Plus, the tentative deal will renew ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” franchise.
According to SBJ, Disney will pay $2.6 billion annually for MNF, 30 percent higher than its current $2 billion. That is the most any broadcaster pays the NFL for the rights to televise its games. Disney’s current deal with the NFL expires at the end of 2021.

Exciting news for Orange Bird fans! A new mural is coming to the Magic Kingdom today, featuring our favorite little citrus friend! The Orange Bird is an original Disney World character and has been gaining fans since the Magic Kingdom opened in 1971.
Senior Concept Designer Chris Gardner planned the artwork here in Florida, while Artist Abdul Delgado was charged with painting this Disney World icon. Back when the park first opened, the Florida Citrus Commission was an early sponsor. They sponsored Disney’s Sunshine Pavilion, Sunshine Tree Terrace, and Tropical Serenade (which would eventually be called Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room). Disney Artists worked to create the tiny character to represent the Citrus Commission. As the Magic Kingdom is the Orange Bird’s home and place of origin, it’s fitting that this Florida native would be honored there.
The mural can be found to the left of Sunshine Tree Terrace. It shows the Orange Bird holding what we have to assume is a Citrus Swirl, surrounded by orange blossoms. With the sun shining above him and love on his mind, this painting is a true celebration of Florida’s citrusy roots.
The next time you’re in the Magic Kingdom, you’ll have to head into Adventureland to give this cute little bird a peek. Don’t forget to grab a Citrus Swirl at Sunshine Tree Terrace while you’re there. It’s what the Orange Bird would want you to do!
What do you think of this sweet new mural? Let us know in the comments!

Last year Hollywood Studios debuted a new park map with a same-sex couple outside Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway which we absolutely loved!
The new Hollywood Studios park map also shows the children wearing Facemasks which as noted by Bob Chapek are not going away anytime soon.
Recently Disney World got a bit more strickter with their Face Mask policy when dining, they now require guests to leave their masks on when they arrive at the table and not remove them unless they are actively eating or drinking,
New Set Photos for ‘Thor: Love and Thunder’ are Here. Filming for Marvel Studios’ Thor: Love and Thunder is underway in the land down under and this week we got a first glimpse of a set for the highly anticipated film!
The Daily Mail shared several images taken of outdoor sets that were quickly constructed and deconstructed even faster once filming wrapped for this particular set of Thor: Love and Thunder.
Though there are no stars seen on set, the style of the sets is very reminiscent of Asgard. Likely this could be a series of flashback sequences for the film, but we’ll have to wait for the film’s premiere to find out!
Many fans may be questioning why production members may not be masked while filming, but rest assured, Australia’s initial protocols to combat the COVID-19 outbreak has allowed the country to opt out of mask wearing for several months now. The persons in the photos wearing masks are likely international production members for Thor: Love and Thunder or those who would feel more comfortable wearing the masks during filming.
Thor: Love and Thunder is currently set to premiere on May 6, 2022 and will star Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Natalie Portman (Jane Foster/The Mighty Thor), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie), and the Guardians of the Galaxy, with Christian Bale (Gorr the God Butcher). Be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for updates and all things Marvel!

Varma is bet known for her role as Ellaria Sand in HBO’s Game of Thrones, and was coincidentally the love interest for Pedro Pascal’s Oberyn Martell. Reportedly, the Obi-Wan Kenobi series is set 10 years after the events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. Currently, the show will star Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan, with Hayden Christensen returning as Darth Vader for the limited series.
