I know Mickey Beignets have been around on the West Coast at Disneyland for a while. The whole time, I was super jealous they weren’t at Walt Disney World. Well, I am happy to report that us here on the East Coast can now sink our teeth into these magical snacks as they are now available at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – French Quarter in Walt Disney World!

A 3-pack of the Mickey Beignets is $4.49 and a 6-pack is available for $6.99. For an additional $1.99, you can purchase dipping sauce in the following flavors: Chicory Coffee Ganache, Strawberry or Caramel. Previously, a 6-pack of the “regular” beignets were available as a snack credit with a Disney Dining Plan. Now, only a 3-pack of the Mickey Beignets are considered a snack credit.

As mentioned, the Mickey Beignets are available at Disney’s Port Orleans – French Quarter Resort, but more specifically, they are available at Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory which is open daily from 6 am to midnight. While the Mickey Beignets are available all day at Sassagoula Floatworks, you can treat yourself to a Mickey Beignet Sundae for lunch and dinner hours too!

I don’t know about you but I can’t wait to get my hands on these Mickey Beignets! I’ll also have to try out the sundae too. (for research purposes!)

Police departments from all across the country are putting on their best performance. And I have to admit, I’m slightly obsessed with watching them! How much do you love Disney? A couple in Florida loves it so much that their wedding was inspired by Disney’s park maps. Ben and Kylie Story’s attire went viral a few weeks ago after hitting Twitter.

Ben is no stranger to specially themed jackets. He often creates them to wear to the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions conventions in Orlando. Being a huge theme park fanatic, he enjoys getting everyone in attendance in the spirit.

After meeting his future bride while working in one, he decided to create a very special jacket for their wedding. It took three months to make. Ben had to search for the right material and then sew it all together. After a bit of tailoring, his Disney park map wedding jacket was ready for the aisle.

When Kylie heard about Ben’s plan to create a Disney park map jacket, she decided to get creative as well. She designed her bridal bouquet out of park maps and even hid a few Hidden Mickeys in there.

“The bouquet just seemed so perfect. It will last a lifetime [and] represents our greatest hobby,” Ben said. “We headed to Disneyland as part of the honeymoon so there were even Disneyland maps in there!”

Ben still wears his jacket to the parks and it garners quite a bit of attention.“Life is short, so why not have a little bit of fun and stand out from the crowd!” Ben said.

‘Mary Poppins Returns’ Release Date Has Changed

Mary Poppins Returns is going to be the Christmas event of 2018! The release date was originally supposed to be Dec. 25th. But according to the Hollywood Reporter, it has now been moved up a week to Dec. 19th.

Emily Blunt has landed—practically perfectly, of course—on the cover of the new issue of Entertainment Weekly, and we could not be more excited. In an exclusive first look, Emily shares her enthusiasm for playing the title role in Mary Poppins Returns.

The story in Entertainment Weekly provides many of the exciting details fans have been clamoring for. The new film takes place 25 years after the first, during the economic slump of the 1930s in the UK (think: The Great Depression). Michael Banks (Ben Whishaw) now lives in the family home (a stunning recreation of the original 17 Cherry Tree Lane!) with his family, when tragedy hits: Michael’s wife passes away, leaving banker/artist Michael to raise their three children on his own. Jane (Emily Mortimer) tries to help lift the spirits—and the family’s finances, which are now tottering, as they face foreclosure on their home—but can only do so much.

Enter Mary Poppins. Blunt got the blessing of Julie Andrews herself before production began, and Mary works magic on the children, the family, and everyone she encounters, including Lin-Manuel Miranda in the role of Jack, a lamplighter and former protégé of chimney sweep Bert (Dick Van Dyke).

Much care and respect have been put into bringing this family musical to life while honoring the legacy and reputation of the original film. Filmmakers strategically hired the best in the business including Tony-award winning composers tasked with penning a new score for the new movie.

Rob Marshall, the director for Mary Poppins Returns, is quoted as saying, “The bar is so high for this. But to be able to walk in the footsteps of this beautiful story about a woman who brings magic to this family that’s looking for wonder and hope and joy in their lives… I feel a great responsibility and reverence every day. We all feel it. We’re just lifting it up to get there with the right intentions behind it.”

36 Foot Tall Donald Duck at Shanghai’s Disney Town

Donald Duck is making HUGE news over in Shanghai Disneyland. A giant inflatable Donald Duck appeared in a lake in Shanghai’s Disney Town on Monday, attracting a large number of visitors eager to take photos. The gargantuan cartoon inflatable measured an astounding 36 feet tall, making it to the tallest Donald Duck model in the world. Its warm smile seemed to welcome the scores of visitors from around the world to the town.

No word yet on how long he intends to stay, so be sure to catch a glimpse of him before he’s gone.

Shanghai Disney Resort is a themed resort in Pudong, Shanghai, China. It is the first Disney park resort in mainland China and the second in Greater China, after the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. The resort opened to the public on June 16, 2016.

Disney's New York City Operations Moving To A New Location

The Walt Disney Company’s Upper West Side Manhattan campus is being sold after a deal was reached with Trinity Church Wall Street. Disney now has the rights to develop the property located at 4 Hudson Square. Their previous location housed ABC and ESPN networks and had been operational since the late 1980s.

4 Hudson Square covers an entire city block with Hudson, Spring, Varick and Van Dam streets surrounding it. The property will be the new home of ABC’s “Live with Kelly and Ryan” and “The View”. Disney Streaming Services will also be joining the party at the new location as well but “Good Morning America” is going to stay put at its Times Square Studio location.

“This move represents an historic step forward toward our long-term vision for our New York operations. The Hudson Square district is rapidly becoming a dynamic, innovative hub for media, technology and other creative businesses, ” said Robert A. Iger, chairman and CEO of Disney. “We are pleased and proud to be joining this exciting community and look forward to investing in the growth and development of the neighborhood.”

Silverstein Properties, Inc has an agreement with Disney to purchase the old Upper West Side property. That deal does not include ESPN’s home in a building located across the street from the main campus.

Registration Now Open for Passholder Play Time at Toy Story Land!

If you are a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder, you probably have been checking your email every few minutes since it was announced select Passholders would be able to attend a private Passholder Play Time at Toy Story Land this September. I am happy to announce the all-important email is going out right now to all Passholders that are eligible for this event! In addition, we have some additional details about the event to share.

The Passholder Play Time will be offered on Tuesdays through Sundays in the month of September. Passholders are invited to sign up for one hour of play time at either 7 am to 8 am or 8 am to 9 am.

During the event, Passholders are welcome to take a spin on Slinky Dog Dash and Alien Swirling Saucers. Breakfast items will be available for purchase at Woody’s Lunch Box during the event.
