“Captain Marvel” is coming to theaters on March 8, 2019, and we couldn’t be more excited about it. Of course, what would a new movie be without a meet and greet? Captain Marvel herself will be joining the line up of characters at Disney’s California Adventure for a limited time to celebrate her new movie. She will be joining Black Panther, Captain America, and Spider-Man, who can already be found at the Disneyland Resort.
“Captain Marvel” will be the next installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe before we get the conclusion to “Avengers: Infinity War.” “Captain Marvel” will introduce fans to Carol Danvers. Danvers is an ace Air Force pilot who becomes one of the most powerful heroes in the universe. In “Captain Marvel,” Earth finds itself in the middle of a war between two alien races and Danvers and her allies are in the middle of it. Danvers discovers that she is part Kree, and goes to the Kree home world of Hala to join their Starforce, an elite military team.
According to Marvel, we will be seeing Samuel L. Jackson and Clark Gregg back in action as Nick Fury and Phil Coulson respectively, representing S.H.I.E.L.D. We should also expect to see Lee Pace back as Ronan the Accuser, who first appeared in Guardians of the Galaxy. Also back from Guardians of the Galaxy is Djimon Hounsou as Korath. New to the team, we will be seeing Jude Law as the Starforce leader. This will also include the introduction of the Kree nemesis, the Skrull who will be led by Ben Mendelsohn’s character, Talos. Of course, if bringing back dead characters sounds confusing, don’t forget that “Captain Marvel” will take place in the 1990’s.
