Justin Timberlake and His Son Enjoyed a Visit to Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge in Hollywood Studios. Singer and actor Justin Timberlake recently took his six-year-old son Silas to Walt Disney World, and the pair equally geeked out over their visit! Silas and Justin both had a blast at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Their favorite part of the trip was visiting Savi’s Workshop, where Disney Parks guests can build their own custom lightsaber at the secret workshop and continue the way of the Force.

Disney has made changes to their face mask policy this weekend including guests can now eat and drink again while walking outdoors at Disney World! This exciting change to Walt Disney World’s face mask policy enables more freedom and enjoyment whilst walking around the parks. Particularly for guests attending 2021 Taste of EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival!

Previously, face masks were mandatory throughout all aspects of guest’s magical visit at Walt Disney World. Likewise, prior to eating and drinking, it was mandatory for guests standing, waiting or sitting in dining locations to also wear a mask. Furthermore, guests were required to wear a mask until they were eating or drinking. However, if the food or drink was not at a table service like restaurant, guests had to stand while eating and drinking and once finished to reapply their face covering.

Many further changes are also coming into effect with reduction of COVID-19 rules, including removing the plexiglass dividers from many rides and attractions, which we have seen recently! Particularly, as earlier this week Disney lowered the physical distancing guidelines from 6 feet down to 3 feet. Disney World have also announced that park Capacity is increasing and that these changes should help handle the growing attendance at the Disney World Theme Parks!

Disney have updated their official face mask regulations on their website, showing that it is optional to wear a face mask outdoors, allowing guests to eat and drink whilst walking outdoors around Disney World! However, face masks must be worn upon entering and throughout all attractions, inside all theatres, including entrances, to be worn on all transportation as well as all indoor locations.

Hopefully, when it is safe to do so, further restrictions will reduce but for now, Disney continue to do a great job keeping guests and cast members alike safe!

Here are the details:

Face coverings are required for all Guests (ages 2 and up) and Cast Members. Please bring your own face coverings and wear them in all indoor locations, except when actively eating or drinking while stationary and maintaining appropriate physical distancing. Face coverings are optional in outdoor common areas at Walt Disney World Resort, but are still required upon entering and throughout all attractions, theaters and transportation.

All face coverings (whether disposable or reusable) must:

  • Must have at least 2 layers of breathable material
  • Fully cover the nose and mouth and secure under the chin
  • Fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face
  • Must be secure with ties or ear loops and allow the Guest to remain hands-free

At this time, based on guidance from health authorities, neck gaiters, open-chin triangle bandanas and face coverings containing valves, mesh material or holes of any kind are not acceptable face coverings.

Costume masks are not acceptable as a face mask.

Acceptable Face Masks

Face coverings may have an integrated transparent plastic panel to aid in viewing the wearer’s mouth. These face coverings must:

  • Be a fabric face covering featuring a solid plastic panel containing no openings that is attached to the fabric on all sides using tight knit stitching
  • Meet all face covering requirements listed above

The use of face coverings is not a substitute for physical distancing.

Frozen Sing-Along & Festival of the Lion King reducing physical distancing and raising capacity

Frozen Sing-Along & Festival of the Lion King reducing physical distancing and raising capacity

Disney World has been making changes to its health and safety guidelines recently. One of those changes is the physical distancing measures. Physical distancing will be reduced from 6 feet in some areas of the resort. Two of the areas are entertainment locations in the parks.

Frozen Sing-Along & Festival of the Lion King reducing physical distancing and raising capacity

“For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Singalong Celebration” in Disney’s Hollywood Studios will be reducing physical distancing and raising capacity this weekend.

The other entertainment location reducing physical distancing is “A Celebration of the Festival of the Lion King” in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The show opened last week with limited capacity and some balcony rows removed. Now, capacity is being increased and physical distancing reduced to allow more guests to enjoy the show each day.

Disney had not shared how much physical distancing will be reduced by but other businesses have reduced it from 6 feet to 3 feet. Distancing will not be reduced in dining or shopping areas, or any other place where guests remove their masks.

Disney World removing Plexiglass Dividers from many rides & attractions

Disney World removing Plexiglass Dividers from many rides & attractions

So many changes are occurring at Walt Disney World right now to get things back to normal. Earlier this week Disney lowered the physical distancing guidelines from 6 feet down to 3 feet. Just last night Disney World announced that guests would not be required to wear Face Masks while outdoors starting today!

Those visiting Disney World today will start to notice some additional changes starting to happen all over the theme parks especially when they get on their favorite ride or attraction.

Disney World has started to pull down the plexiglass dividers on some of your favorite rides/attractions also they are also filling every row with guests!

With Park Capacity increasing these changes should help handle the growing attendance at the Disney World Theme Parks.

Disney World removing Plexiglass Dividers from many rides & attractions

So far we have only seen the plexiglass removed on a few attractions but the change is coming to many others. I for one can’t wait to see the plexiglass dividers removed on the Kilimanjaro Safaris in Disney’s Animal Kingdom as that ride is a hot mess with those dividers up.
