So many changes are occurring at Walt Disney World right now to get things back to normal. Earlier this week Disney lowered the physical distancing guidelines from 6 feet down to 3 feet. Just last night Disney World announced that guests would not be required to wear Face Masks while outdoors starting today!
Those visiting Disney World today will start to notice some additional changes starting to happen all over the theme parks especially when they get on their favorite ride or attraction.
Disney World has started to pull down the plexiglass dividers on some of your favorite rides/attractions also they are also filling every row with guests!
With Park Capacity increasing these changes should help handle the growing attendance at the Disney World Theme Parks.
So far we have only seen the plexiglass removed on a few attractions but the change is coming to many others. I for one can’t wait to see the plexiglass dividers removed on the Kilimanjaro Safaris in Disney’s Animal Kingdom as that ride is a hot mess with those dividers up.

Fully Vaccinated Guests visiting SeaWorld Orlando are no longer required to wear masks, if you are vaccinated, starting now. In a late-night announcement, SeaWorld followed the Breaking News of mask changes made at Walt Disney World Resort and Universal Orlando, with one major difference. While Disney and Universal are allowing guests to go maskless outside in most areas, SeaWorld announced they are not requiring masks at all.
This goes into effect asap and also applies to Aquatica Orlando, Aquatica San Antonio, and Discovery Cove. The theme park will not require proof of the vaccine. The Governor of Florida has made it illegal for any business to ask for a vaccine passport or to have to show proof. So they are relying on people being self-policed.
The move comes a day after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued guidance saying masks are no longer recommended outside and in some indoor settings for anyone who is fully vaccinated.
You can read the new face coverings announcement below in a statement from SeaWorld:
Get ready to dive into summer with the new star spangled Mickey Americana Collection! This fun collection has arrived just in time for Memorial Day weekend, and features Mickey with red, white, blue, and stars! You can find this summery new collection now at Walt Disney World, and online at shopDisney!
A new pair of Mickey Crocs has shown up for this new collection too! These fun new Mickey Crocs have a swirling tie dye print of red, white, and blue, with Mickey shaped holes.
There are several shirts with star spangled Mickey designs! You’ll find tie-dye shirts, relaxed jersey tees, and also a cozy pull-over sweatshirt.
One of my favorite parts of this collection is the shorts and pullover set! These are relaxed sweats in a distressed blue with white stars and Mickey icons that also look like they’ve been painted on. These pieces are sold separately but would look adorable as a set, or mix and matched with other pieces.

Academy Award® winner Emma Stone (“La La Land”) stars in Disney’s “Cruella,” an all-new live-action feature film about the rebellious early days of one of cinemas most notorious – and notoriously fashionable – villains, the legendary Cruella de Vil. “Cruella,” which is set in 1970s London amidst the punk rock revolution, follows a young grifter named Estella, a clever and creative girl determined to make a name for herself with her designs. She befriends a pair of young thieves who appreciate her appetite for mischief, and together they are able to build a life for themselves on the London streets. One day, Estella’s flair for fashion catches the eye of the Baroness von Hellman, a fashion legend who is devastatingly chic and terrifyingly haute, played by two-time Oscar® winner Emma Thompson (“Howards End,” “Sense and Sensibility”). But their relationship sets in motion a course of events and revelations that will cause Estella to embrace her wicked side and become the raucous, fashionable and revenge-bent Cruella.
“Cruella” stars Emma Stone, Emma Thompson, Joel Fry, Paul Walter Hauser, Emily Beecham, Kirby Howell-Baptiste and Mark Strong. The film is directed by Craig Gillespie, with screenplay by Dana Fox and Tony McNamara, story by Aline Brosh McKenna and Kelly Marcel & Steve Zissis, based upon the novel “The One Hundred and One Dalmatians” by Dodie Smith. “Cruella” is produced by Andrew Gunn, Marc Platt and Kristin Burr, p.g.a., with Emma Stone, Michelle Wright, Jared LeBoff and Glenn Close serving as executive producers.
*Cruella is PG-13 for some violence and thematic elements.

‘Ms. Marvel‘ Disney+ Series Has Finished Filming in Thailand. Marvel Studios has wrapped production on the upcoming Disney+ Original Series, Ms. Marvel. Iman Vellani will be making her debut in the upcoming series for Marvel Studios and Disney+, playing the iconic character Kamala Khan.
“Within the Marvel Universe, Khan is a teenage Pakistani-American from Jersey City, New Jersey with shapeshifting abilities who discovers that she has Inhuman genes in the aftermath of the “Inhumanity” storyline and assumes the mantle of Ms. Marvel from her idol Carol Danvers after Danvers becomes Captain Marvel.”
Ms. Marvel was filmed in Atlanta, GA and Thailand. Despite a third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic throughout Thailand, Marvel was able to attain a waiver allowing for production to be completed. The studio also reported there were “three bubbles” of production teams that allowed filming to continue even if a cast or crew member contracted the virus. Luckily, with frequent testing (twice a week), strict transportation and quarantine guidelines, it seems they have been able to wrap production unscathed.
Kamala Khan was also one of the main protagonists in the new Marvel’s Avengers video game that launched last September and is available for all major gaming consoles and platforms. It is currently unknown which elements of Kamala’s story from the comics will be added to the series. Adil El Arbi, Bilall Fallah, Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy and Meera Menon are set to direct various episodes, with Kevin Feige acting as executive producer for the new series.
Ms. Marvel/Kamala Khan will also be featured in the upcoming Marvel Studios film, The Marvels, starring alongside Brie Larson (Captain Marvel) and Teyonah Parris (Monica Rambeau). Be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for updates and all things Disney+ and Marvel!
In honor of Armed Forces Appreciation Day, The Walt Disney Company is shining a light on one special employee who served in the Navy during a pivotal time in U.S. history.
U.S. Navy veteran Alex Stromski served in duty stations around the world since enlisting in World War II. He served in three wars until he retired from the Navy in 1967 as a Lieutenant Commander. After Walt Disney World opened in 1971, Alex became an annual passholder and frequently visited the resort with his family. His love of Disney and of service led him to apply for a job. He’s been working full-time for Disney since 2013.
Cast member Alex Stromski, who is now 92 years old, was recently honored at a sunrise flag-raising ceremony at Magic Kingdom in Disney World.
As friends and family looked on, Stromski joined the Magic Kingdom flag detail in hoisting the colors over Town Square. He was later recognized by park leadership and members of Disney’s SALUTE Veteran diversity group.
“I’m honored and humbled. This is something I never would have expected.” – Alex Stromski
Alex says his military experience has been a big benefit to him in his Disney role making magic for guests. He likes being able to make guests form new wonderful memories, plus enjoys meeting military families and veterans who visit.
