Frozen Margarita with Dole Whip Lime at the Polynesian Village Resort

Disney has released another variation of the beloved dole whip! The Corazon Blanco Tequila Frozen Margarita blended with Dole Whip Lime is now available!

You can find this bright green concoction at the Barefoot Pool Bar at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

The lime flavor is popping up everywhere recently! It has been used in the Peter Pan Float and Tink’s Pixie-dusted Cone at Storybook Treats in the Magic Kingdom. This green soft-serve has also been spotted at the Pineapple Lanai in the Polynesian with the Heart of Te Fiti Cone too.

For $13, you can sip and slurp the delicious Dole Whip Lime Margarita with your choice of a salt or Tajin (chili-lime spicy seasoning) rim. I would personally opt for the Tajin rim for a little kick!

Rumor has it that this treat will soon be available at the Oasis Bar and Grill too.

This drink sounds like the perfect companion to some sunshine and swimming after a long park day!

Disney Possibly Eliminating Evening Extra Magic Hours at Magic Kingdom

Currently, the calendar on the Walt Disney World website shows that evening Extra Magic Hours at the Magic Kingdom have been eliminated. We are uncertain if this is just an oversight or if they are indeed removing the evening Extra Magic Hours for guests staying on Disney property.

According to the calendar for October 2019, all evening Extra Magic Hours have been swapped for morning Extra Magic Hours at the Magic Kingdom. Morning Extra Magic Hours are being offered on Wednesdays and Fridays.

There is no official confirmation for this information, but evidence from the Disney website shows evening hours have been removed and replaced with an additional morning hour.

It looks like Disney is catching on to the fact that people will pay money to attend “extra magic hour” events. They can earn money for something that was previously offered for free. These events include the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Disney After Hours, and the brand-new Disney Villains After Hours Party. These listed events are offered separately from a regular park ticket for an extra cost.

Previously, Extra Magic Hours were offered to guests staying on Disney property only. This was an added bonus of choosing to stay at one of the Disney resorts.

Bigfire Set to Bring Fireside Dining to Universal CityWalk

When I think of summer, I think about bonfires, fishing, burgers, and family vacations. It’s also a time to relax and enjoy the beauty around me. This summer, Universal CityWalk debuts a new restaurant that checks almost all my favorites off the list. Bigfire is set to bring fireside dining to Universal CityWalk this summer. From the looks of it, you won’t want to miss out.

Once completed, Bigfire will be a two-story full-service venue with a lakeside lodge feeling. The restaurant features modern décor and fireplace with cast iron design elements. You’ll be able to snuggle up with an oversized blanket around the firepit or play lawn games on the outdoor patio. Talk about a perfect way to unwind with friends and family after being in the parks.

The menu is that of perfection mixed with classic American. Bigfire will take your meals to the next level with each dish cooked on an open fire. Chefs pair the perfect type of wood with your meal to enhance the smoky flavor taste.

A few show stoppers include the Bigfire bison burger, chili and cocoa rubbed steak, freshwater cuisines, and smoked salads. After you’ve ordered your food, watch your meal being cooked on the fire right before your eyes. Don’t forget to save room for my favorite part, dessert. The word on the street says to try The Baked Alaska.

Bigfire is located between VIVO Italian Kitchen and Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville near the edge of the lagoon. Enjoy your meal while taking in the amazing views of Universal CityWalk.

Hands down, Bigfire just made its way onto my list for my next visit. The entire concept of the open fire cooking, to the relaxing lodge feel, is right up my alley. Who else is excited that Bigfire is set to bring fireside dining to Universal CityWalk this summer? I can’t be the only one!!

We’re Absolutely Obsessed with the new Disney Obsessed Collection

This weekend I headed over to my local Disney Store for my son to participate in the Magical Egg Hunt Adventure! While there, I got completely mesmerized by a brand new assortment called the Disney Obsessed Collection. It was as if Disney took all of my favorite things, and mixed them together in a beautiful blend of cuteness and style.

The collection features homewares, apparel, and accessories with a creamy pastel color palette, and Mickey shaped SNACKS! It’s well known I’m obsessed with Disney snacks, so it shouldn’t surprise anyone at how fast I fell in love with this new collection. I also love to be cozy, and I mean who doesn’t? The Mickey and Minnie donut fleece blanket is soft and dreamy, and pairs perfectly with the “Disney, Sleep, Repeat” pillow that also has donut sprinkles!

Continuing the cozy vibe is the matching pajamas. I didn’t get them on Saturday, and I’m having deep remorse over my choice. These jammies are a button down top, with coordinating shorts that have a soft, but airy fabric so they’ll be perfect for the approaching warm summer months.

We're Absolutely Obsessed with the new Disney Obsessed Collection

The donut theme continues on with two fun mugs! The first mug is a sleek white style, with a half eaten Mickey shaped donut on the front. The reverse side features a quote I personally live by “I run on Disney and Caffeine”. The little Mickey icon for the “O” in “ON” reminds me of a MagicBand puck too! The other mug is a figural one shaped like a donut. The blue frosted donut mug is dappled with color Mickey shaped sprinkles too!

Since we can never have too many “calorie free” Mickey donuts, there is also the Mickey Donut pencil case, with pencils! A dozen sprinkle covered pencils are encased in the cutest Donut shaped pencil holder. I’m already planning on getting this for my son’s Teacher for Teacher Appreciation Week.

The pins were also too cute, right down to the packaging. The Mickey and Minnie Donut pins come on a “coffee” shaped backing, and features 3 donut pins in pink, blue, and chocolate. The Mickey and Minnie avocado pins was where I giggled! They are displayed on a TOAST shaped background! Leave it to Disney to give us avocado toast merchandise.

This item was a little hard to capture in a picture. It’s a “milk carton” covered in Mickey sprinkles that is actually a vase! This is a super adorable piece that would be great for adding to a dining room table, or as a bud vase on a side table.

My favorite quote returns again on a super cozy heather grey sweatshirt. The pink and blue colors really pop together, and I spy another half eaten “calorie free” Mickey donut!

Another fun apparel item is the “Living My Best Disney Inspired Life” pink tank top. It has rose gold metallic accents, and a flowing shape. It’s a comfy yet flattering tank top for a Disney obsessed fan.

Another fun surprise I saw with the collection was the official Disney Parks Rose Gold Minnie Ears! These are the original Rose Gold sequined ears that have been replaced by the new Briar Rose Gold ears at the Disney Parks. These were available at my local Disney Store for just $14.99!! If you missed out on these beauties, make sure to head over to your local store and get a pair!

The new Disney Obsessed Collection is currently only available in Disney Stores. It is currently not available online, but we hope that changes soon! What do you think of the new Disney Obsessed Collection?

Pop Up Bar at Grand Floridian!

We recently announced the closure of Mizner’s Lounge for a refurbishment. While Mizner’s Lounge is transforming into a Beauty and the Beast themed library, you can still get your afternoon cocktail at the Grand Floridian. A temporary pop up bar has been set up for guests just outside the Garden View Tea Room.

The pop up bar opens daily every day at 5:00 PM and has limited seating for those wishing to stay near the bar. If you arrive before 6:00, you can also be seated by a hostess in the tea room. Once the last tea drinkers depart, the tea room is open seating.

The pop-up bar should please everyone – a variety of beer, wine, whisky, bourbon, and specialty cocktails are on the menu. The Grand Floridian Café is even providing food from 5 – 9:30 PM. The menu includes items like shrimp cocktail, fried mozzarella, truffle fries, etc.

This is a great opportunity for you to check out the Tea Room, if you haven’t. The Tea Room offers Perfectly Princess Teas on select mornings and daily afternoon tea seatings.

The brand-new trailer for Disney’s “The Lion King” is out now, marking 100 days until Simba arrives in theaters on July 19.

Disney’s “The Lion King, directed by Jon Favreau (“The Jungle Book”), journeys to the African savanna where a future king is born. Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival. Scar, Mufasa’s brother—and former heir to the throne—has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba’s exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his.

Staying true to the classic story, director Jon Favreau utilizes pioneering filmmaking techniques to bring the iconic characters to the big screen in a whole new way. New Nighttime Spectacular Epcot Forever to Debut Oct. 1 at Walt Disney World

“Epcot Forever,” a new nighttime spectacular at Walt Disney World Resort, will debut Oct. 1, 2019, on World Showcase Lagoon at Epcot. The limited-time show will be a celebration of the past, present and future of Epcot, built around the magical soundtrack guests have come to know and love at the park.

The new show will feature fireworks, lighting, lasers and choreographed, special effects kites, accompanied by a stirring collection of songs that paints a colorful picture of Epcot. Disney Parks Live Entertainment is collaborating on the show with noted conductor and composer Don Harper, who is producing all-new arrangements of classic Epcot tunes to weave into the soundtrack of “Epcot Forever.”

“‘Epcot Forever’ is a celebration of what Epcot has been and what Epcot is going to become,” said Alan Bruun, show director for Disney Parks Live Entertainment. “Music is the star of the show, and we use songs going back to the very beginnings of Epcot to music in the park today – from attractions, spectaculars, and other shows – and put them into a firework spectacular on the lagoon every night. Guests are going to hear music they know and love but in a whole new way.”

The current Epcot nighttime spectacular, “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth,” will end its dazzling 20-year run on Sept. 30, 2019. Now, more than ever, guests will want to bid the show a fond farewell this spring and summer to once again take in a nighttime extravaganza dedicated to the joyful history of humanity and the remarkable achievements of our time.

After it launches Oct. 1, “Epcot Forever” will continue into 2020, when it will then make way for the debut of the next epic Epcot nighttime spectacular as part of the park’s multi-year transformation.

Other projects currently in development at Epcot include:

Guardians of the Galaxy-themed attraction, which will be one of the longest enclosed roller coasters in the world and use a brand-new ride system
Play pavilion offering first-of-their-kind experiences devoted to playful fun, inviting guests into an innovative, interactive city bursting with games and hands-on activities
Changes to the main entrance plaza, featuring new pathways, sweeping green spaces and a newly reimagined fountain
Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure attraction in the France pavilion, patterned after the number-one family attraction at Disneyland Paris
Crêperie in the France pavilion offering both table-service and quick-service options
“Beauty and the Beast” sing-along in the France pavilion, showing in addition to the pavilion’s current film, “Impressions de France”
“Awesome Planet” film in The Land, Circle-Vision 360 film for the China pavilion and updated O Canada! 360-degree show
Signature Dining experience inspired by the natural beauty of Japan
Space-themed table-service restaurant adjacent to Mission: SPACE, inviting guests to travel high above the earth for an unforgettable dining experience

Guests will be able to visualize the exciting plans for Epcot when doors open later this year to a new Experience Center. There they will discover engaging and interactive exhibits that showcase the relentless innovation driving the park’s future during this unprecedented period of growth.

Disney Announces Ending Date for IllumiNations at Epcot

Epcot Forever, the temporary show replacing IllumiNations, will begin October 1st and run through sometime in late 2020.

Tomorrowland Speedway Construction Update from the Magic Kingdom

Construction is well underway on the Tomorrowland Speedway in Walt Disney’s World’s Magic Kingdom.

This construction is taking place to make room for the upcoming arrival of the Tron Coaster. A section of the racetrack has been demolished so that the ride can be shortened and re-routed.

According to the photos, it also looks as if a large section of the original track is being renovated and replaced. Currently, the cars are still parked on the far side of the track towards Space Mountain.

Tomorrowland Speedway Construction Update from the Magic Kingdom

The Tomorrowland Speedway has been around since Walt Disney World’s opening in 1971 and is set to reopen in May 2019. This attraction allows you to put the pedal to the metal in your own gas-powered car. Children of all ages love the thrill of taking the tiny cars for a spin!

Although the speedway will be adjusted to accommodate the new Tron Coaster, it will still be the same ride we (including myself!) have fond memories of.

The upcoming Tron Coaster is based on a popular Shanghai Disneyland attraction called the Tron Lightcycle Power Run. You will be able to hop on a two-wheeled Lightcycle and zip off at nearly 60 miles per hour! This new attraction is set to open by 2021.

Monsters Inc. Show “Monsters At Work” Set To Premiere In 2020 On Disney+

You’ll see some familiar faces, and hear some familiar voices when Monsters at Work debuts next year on Disney+. John Goodman and Billy Crystal will return to their roles as Sully & Mike from Pixar’s Acadamy Award-winning Monsters, Inc.

Monsters at Work picks up six months after the original fils polt, with the Monsters, Inc. power plant now collecting children’s laughter instead of screams, to fuel the city if Monstropolis. Tylor Tuskman (voiced by Ben Fledman) is a young mechanic working his way up the ranks as part of the Monsters, Inc. Facilities Team (MIFT). Tylor dreams of one day working on the Laugh Floor with his idols Mike & Sully.

Along the way, we’ll meet some new friends including Kelly Marie Tran as Val Little, Tylor’s lifelong friend and confidante; Henry Winkler as Fritz, the scatterbrained boss; Lucas Neff as Duncan, an opportunistic plumber; Alanna Ubach as Cutter, the officious rule follower; and Stephen Stanton as Smitty and Needleman, the bumbling custodial team; and Aisha Tyler as Tylor’s mom, Millie Tuskmon.
