If Guests plan to use this form or transportation during their visit they should check to be sure of the best option available on their day of travel, as alternative transportation options will be available.

Noise may be heard while this work is being completed, but noise should not be heard from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00 AM.

We have embarked on creating a new transportation system, Disney Skyliner, which will give Guests a bird’s-eye view of Walt Disney World Resort while traveling via gondolas. During this time, multiple construction projects will be seen and heard throughout the resort, but noise should not be heard from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00am.

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

General Construction/Rooms Refurbishment– Ongoing until further notice
During this time, amenities including dining locations (such as the newly reimagined Rix Sports Bar and Grill) and merchandise locations, pools, La Vida Health Club with the spa and salon, and recreation activities such as beach volleyball, Iguana Arcade, Movies Under the Stars and more, will remain available. Please note that noise will be heard while our Resort is undergoing refurbishments, but noise should not be heard from Guest rooms prior to 9:00am daily.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Mizner’s Lounge– April 2019 – Fall 2019
Beginning in April 2019, Mizner’s Lounge will be closed for refurbishment, with a reopening planned for fall 2019.

Hippy Dippy Pool– January 2020 – Early Spring 2020
The Hippy Dippy Pool is scheduled to be closed for refurbishment. During this time, Guests can use the Bowling Pool, Computer Pool and the kiddie pool. Also, Movies Under the Stars will be offered in an alternate location. Guests may notice construction noise while this refurbishment is underway, but the noise should not be heard from Guest rooms between dusk and 9:00 AM.
Disney Skyliner– Ongoing until further notice

Best Western Lake Buena Vista is currently undergoing refurbishments to make exciting updates to the hotel. Work will be limited to the hours between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM during the week and occasionally on weekends. All hotel amenities are available and every precaution is being taken to minimize any disruptions during your stay.

New Additional Sail Dates Offered On Disney Dream

The Disney Cruise Line recently announced that it has opened quite a number of new 3- and 4- night sail dates on the Disney Dream between August 24 and September 14, 2020.

Each of the new sailings on the Disney Dream departs from Port Canaveral. The new 2020 sail dates for the 3-Night Bahamian Cruises are August 24, August 27, and September 3. There are also 3 new 2020 sail dates being offered for the 4-Night Bahamian Cruises. The new 2020 sail dates for the 4-Night Bahamian Cruises are August 30, September 6, and September 10.

There are two different itineraries offered for the 3-Night Bahamian Cruises. Both of the new August sailings depart from Port Canaveral and stop at both Disney Castaway Cay and Nassau before returning back to Port Canaveral. The new September sailing also departs from Port Canaveral. This sailing first stops at Nassau followed by Disney Castaway Cay prior to returning to Port Canaveral.

Each of the new dates for the 4-Night Bahamian Cruise departs from Port Canaveral. These itineraries stop at Nassau followed by Disney Castaway Cay. There is a day spent at sea prior to arriving back in Port Canaveral.

Both 3- and 4-Night itineraries are especially great for first-time cruisers or those that are on the fence about cruising. They also make a great addition to a vacation to Walt Disney World or a weekend getaway. What do you think about the new additional dates that have been added to the Disney Dream sailings? New Aladdin Alex and Ani Bangles And More Aladdin Treasures

There’s a whole new world of Aladdin inspired treasures to be found at the Disney Parks. Three stunning new Aladdin Alex and Ani Bangles have debuted, that is like having one for each wish! Plus other fabulous Aladdin merchandise has also danced onto shelves around the parks.

With the new live action film heading into theaters May 24th, we’re seeing lots of fun souvenirs and collectibles inspired by both the new and classic Aladdin films! I really love seeing all of the magical new offerings, inspired by one of my childhood favorites.

New Aladdin Alex and Ani Bangles And More Aladdin Treasures

The first of the new bangles from Alex and Ani is actually part of the new Disney Princess bracelet line. Like the other princess bangles this has a double sided charm, that features Princess Jasmine on one side, and a quote inspired by her on the other. This bangle retails for $49.95.

The Magic Carpet ride scene with the “A Whole New World” song is easily one of the most iconic moments from the original Aladdin animated film. This rose gold bangle captures the enchantment of that, with Jasmine riding on the Magic Carpet through a starry night sky, with the worlds “Life s a Magic Carpet Ride” beneath her. This bangle is just $44.95.

Last but not least we have the golden bangle that features none other than Genie! This is a cabochon style charm, that also has a gold magic lamp dangle charm. We don’t see a lot of double charm Disney Alex and Ani bangles, so this is a fun treat! You can add this bangle to your collection for $79.95.

One of my favorite new Aladdin souvenirs is this Magic Carpet keychain! It even has little gold tassels, honestly how cute can you get?

We also spotted a new pin inspired by the live action Will Smith version of Genie.

In addition to the new jewelry and accessories guests can find an assortment of collectibles and apparel inspired by the Live Action Aladdin film as well.

There is even a new Jasmine assortment for the younger princesses too! The peacock feather theme found throughout the new Jasmine assortments is really fantastic too.

Disney Invests $1.5 Million in Valencia College Culinary Arts and Hospitality Program. The Walt Disney Company has made a $1.5 million investment in the reimagination and relocation of Valencia College’s culinary arts and hospitality program. The College is creating a new campus in downtown Orlando that will feature state-of-the-art classrooms and cutting-edge technology for students.

“Central Florida’s recipe for success includes one very important ingredient: a heaping helping of culinary arts and hospitality talent. Quite simply, this is a world-class destination for one reason: the people who make it possible.”- Disney

Aladdin Petit Cake from Amorette’s Patisserie

It’s almost time for the live action release of Aladdin on May 24^th. Amorette’s Patisserie is getting into the spirit with their newest cake, the Aladdin Petit Cake, inspired by the classic film. This beauty is just stunning!

The cake is a combination of delectable flavors. There are several layers of Almond Chiffon cake, Amoretto Simple Syrup, Fig Pate de Fruit, Spice mousse, Almond Pecan Granola and Golden Raisin Jam. The dessert is covered beautifully with a sweet blue frosting, and topped with a magic carpet. A gold lamp adorns the side.

Another school year is coming to a close and this years Seniors are preparing to graduate. What’s next? Celebrate at the Disneyland Resort Grad Nite, of course! 2019 High School graduates can head on over to the Disneyland Resort Grad Nite where they can take part during a private party at Disney’s California Adventure Park.

Grads can start of the night by enjoying a VIP Street Dance party on Hollywood Blvd! 2019 graduates can then dance their way through Cars Land before grooving down Pixar Pier throughout the night while you enjoy hit attractions such as the Incredicoaster, Pixar Pal-A-Round, Toy Story Midway Mania and the all-new Jessie’s Critter Carousel.

Mobile Ordering Will Be Available At Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Planning a visit to the Black Spire Outpost this summer? There’s one line you won’t have to wait in – the one for “space meat” or an ice-cold Blue Milk.

Starting May 31st in Disneyland, guests can use the Mobile Ordering feature to place a food or drink order at Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo, Ronto Roasters, and the Milk Stand. Guests visiting Galaxy’s Edge can order from a variety of options at these participating locations, while they enjoy the other attractions in the new land.

Simply download the Disneyland App and connect a credit card for payment. Place your order with the participating location, and tap the “I’m Here” button when you’re ready to collect your food. Once you arrive, your order will be waiting for you at a special pick-up window – no waiting required!

Guests hoping to visit Oga’s Cantina or Kat Saka’s Kettle will still have to wait in line to be served at that location, as they are not participating in Mobile Ordering. Remember, Oga’s is the first public location to serve alcohol in Disneyland. So if you’d like an alcoholic drink, arrive early and prepare to wait.

Also, Star Wars fans hoping to experience Galaxy’s Edge from May 31st through June 23rd will need a valid reservation to enter the new land. If you’re staying in one of Disneyland’s on-site hotels during this time, a reservation time will be assigned to you.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Reservations

Anyone who is not currently inside of Galaxy’s Edge will NOT be able to place a Mobile Food order. Disneylands GPS technology will prohibit you from ordering from outside of the Black Spire Outposts boarders.

Starting June 24th, no reservations will be required to enter. Guests can order from the three participating locations from anywhere within Disneyland’s park borders. Marvel Studios Will Begin Filming “Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 3” In 2020. With James Gunn back on board to direct the next ‘Guardians’ film, production has been moved up almost a full year earlier than anticipated.

Originally, Marvel Studios had called for filming to begin in February 2021 for the next Guardians of the Galaxy film, primarily while it was on the hunt for someone who would direct the film after the studio fired James Gunn, the established ‘Guardians’ Director. Gunn was subsequently rehired by Marvel after major backlash from fans, cast, and crew of the franchise publicly voiced their disapproval of Gunn’s firing for things he had said in the past on social media.

Gunn had immediately apologized for his behavior online before he was even fired, and has since resigned with Marvel to direct Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 3, much to the delight of fans and the cast and crew who stuck by his side through the ordeal.

Here is what we know so far about Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 3. WARNING: This portion of the article will contain major spoilers for Avengers: Endgame. You have been warned!

Firstly, we last saw the return of the Guardians after Thanos was defeated by Earth’s Mightiest Heroes at the end of Avengers: Endgame.

Long story short: ‘Past Nebula’ posed as ‘Current Nebula’ and brought ‘Past Thanos’ and his armies to the current time line to fight the remaining Avengers, but not before Hulk/Bruce Banner could snap the newly made Infinity Gauntlet and bring everyone back, including Peter Quill/Star Lord, Mantis, Drax, and Groot. So ‘Past Gamora’ and ‘Current Nebula’ travelled with ‘Past Thanos’ to the current time line so ‘Gamora’ is no longer dead! But, she doesn’t have any memory of the Guardians because she had not lived through that timeline, so she only knows what Nebula has told her about her friends, family, and apparent boyfriend.

We also see Thor leave with the Guardians in search of their next mission, to find Gamora who went AWOL after the battle with Thanos and his army. As they are leaving Thor says one of my favorite Thor lines ever and calls the group the ‘”Asguardians” of the Galaxy.’ It still makes me giggle! Thor and Peter get in a bit of a verbal debate about who is really in charge and then they head off to space.

So what does this all mean for Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 3? More than likely, we will see the gang searching for Gamora and dealing with establishing who is in charge of the Guardians, will Quill still lead, or will Thor take his place? We will also see Gamora dealing with a universe she is a complete stranger in. She doesn’t know who knows her, who still holds grudges, or the trouble the guardians got themselves into after forming. Anyone remember The Sovereign and ‘Adam’ at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol 2? I have a feeling we will see them again shortly.
