New Patriotic Minnie Ears And More Now Available At Disney Parks

It looks like summer fun is already underway at the Disney Parks! And to get us ready for fun and the Fourth of July, Disney has a new star spangled collection, including new Patriotic Minnie Ears! From apparel to home goods there’s plenty to get you in the red, white, and blue spirit.

There’s so many ways to add a Disney flair to your patriotic pride with this collection. I’m personally loving the throw pillows for that fun touch of Mickey for my summer decor!

New Patriotic Minnie Ears And More Now Available At Disney Parks

Mickey and Minnie have dressed up for red, white, and blue summer fun with these adorable new plush toys. Mickey’s pants showcase the entire flag, complete with a blue field of stars, while Minnie struts her stuff in a red and white stripped skirt, with a star spangled bow.

Speaking of bows, let’s check out the new Minnie Ears! These star spangled beauties dazzle with a red sequined bow. One ear features the blue field with shimmering stars, while the other ear is striped. These ears also continue the fun new trend of embroidery on the side too. “Land that I Love” is stitch onto the side of the headband with white thread.

There are also lots of fun finds for adding Mickey and Minnie to your next summer time party. You’ll find plates, bowls, mugs, cups, bottles, and serving dishes all featuring star spangled Disney designs. There is even a salt and pepper shaker set!

Of course if you’re looking to dress the part too, you’ll find patriotic hoodies, t-shirts and even hats! You can celebrate the Fourth of July, while still representing your Disney love.

You can find the Patriotic Minnie Ears, and other fun star spangled fines throughout the Disney Parks and Resorts. Mouse Gear in Epcot and Emporium in Magic Kingdom are great places to check!

Bongo’s at Disney Springs is Rumored to Close Later this Year

Employees at Bongo’s Cuban Cafe in Disney Springs have been told the location will be closing up later this year. According to WDWMagic, the workers stated the location plans to move to the newly opened Margaritaville Orlando Resort that has just opened.

The restaurant was opened on the West Side of Disney Springs in 1997 and is owned by Gloria and Emilio Estefan. It is one of the original restaurants at Disney Springs that has not been renovated at all since the new updates in the Disney Springs Area.

Changes to the Epcot 2019 Garden Rocks Concert Series lineup

There have been a few changes to the Epcot 2019 Garden Rocks Concert Series lineup. Peabo Bryson, who was scheduled for May 12 – 13 has been replaced by The Lovin’ Spoonful “Summer in the City.”

Here are the rest of the changes and a few new additions.

May 10-11: Marshall Tucker Band (NEW to Garden Rocks) “Heard It in a Love Song”

Garden Rocks concert performances take place at 5:30 p.m., 6:45 p.m., and 8:00 p.m. each night of the festival and are included in regular park admission. Guests can enjoy guaranteed concert seating by reserving a Garden Rocks Dining Package and enjoying breakfast, lunch or dinner at select Epcot restaurants. Outdoor Musical Production Entitled “Tale of the Lion King” Coming to Disney California Park

Disney’s Lion King is coming to the big screen very soon with the re-imagined live-action film. Fans of the original animated classic will have double the fill of their favorite film with a new celebration at Disney California Adventure park with an imaginative new adaptation of this timeless story, presented as a highly-theatrical outdoor musical production entitled, “Tale of the Lion King.”

Using a large cast of 18 performers from actors, singers, dancers, and drummers who form an ensemble called the Storytellers of the Pride Lands. This traveling troupe specializes in retelling revered stories in their own contemporary style, weaving their tale through language, song, and dance.

Disney’s “Lady and the Tramp” Live Action to remake racist Siamese Cat Song

Disney’s live-action Lady and the Tramp will be remaking the racist Siamese Cat song thanks to actress-musician Janelle Monáe.

Variety is reporting that the Grammy-nominated performer will be contributing new music to the Live Action movie along with acting in the film.

The Siamese Cat song originally recorded by Peggy Lee from the original 1955 animated movie will reportedly be cut and Janelle Monáe will write a new track to replace the number, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Monae will also perform He’s a Tramp for the Live Action remake.

Disney’s live-action Lady and the Tramp starring Justin Theroux and Tessa Thompson is expected to premiere in November alongside the new Disney+ streaming service.

Great Grandmother Arrested at Disney World for trying to bring CBD Oil into the Magic Kingdom

A 69-year-old Great Grandmother from North Carolina was arrested at the Magic Kingdom for attempting to bring a bottle of CBD Oil for her arthritis into the theme park.

According to Fox 35 in Orlando, Hester Jordan Burkhalter was stopped at one of the security checkpoints at the entrance of the Magic Kingdom for having a bottle of CBD Oil in her purse. Hester which has never even received a speeding ticket had a medical note from her Doctor and legally obtained the CBD Oil in North Carolina.

Orange County Deputy found the CBD oil in her purse and charged her with a felony as CBD Oil is not legal in Florida. She then spent 12 hours behind bars before being released on a $2,000 bond.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Officer was just following the law and since then the charges against Burkhalter were eventually dropped.

‘Avengers: Endgame’ Cast Share Posts From On Set After Spoiler Ban Was Lifted. Before the release of Avengers: Endgame, and several other Marvel Films, Directors Anthony and Joe Russo, aka The Russo Brothers, asked the world to not spoil the movie for other fans and to refrain from sharing Spoilers for the film. They advocated this request with the hashtag #DontSpoilTheEndgame.

Though there are always those who won’t listen to instructions, MOST of the cast and crew were very good about not showing anything from onset that could potentially spoil the movie for fans. Now that the requested Spoiler Ban time is over, the cast has been quick to share some insightful and awesome photos and videos from their days on set of Avengers: Endgame via Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. In an earlier article we shared how Chris Pratt shared a “very illegal” video from a day on set for Avengers: Endgame, turns out one of the other Chris’s did the same thing on the same day, and it turned out to be Chris Evans! Evans waited until after the ban was lifted though to share his video to twitter via his page: @ChrisEvans. Oopsie, hopefully Chris Pratt (@PrattPrattPratt) didn’t get into too much trouble.

We also see a fun photo with 5 out of the 6 original Avengers on set together. If you are wondering, Scarlett Johansson was not on set the say this was taken, but we are glad to see all their smiles as they pose together for one of the last times on set.

Moving on to the 11th ‘Birthday’ of the first Iron Man film, the cast gathered together to sing “Happy Birthday” while on set and Robert Downey Jr. shared the video via his Instagram account: @robertdowneyjr.

In the next video we see a slumped down Chris Hemsworth (Thor), Chris Evans (Captain America) being lifted in the air by Josh Brolin (Thanos), and Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man) step in to help his buddy in this slomo shot during filming of one of the final battle scenes in Endgame.

After seeing the film this gives you a whole new level of appreciation for special effects artists and the cast being able to do what they do. It’s always fun to get a peek behind the movie magic.

Will Smith Sings “Friend Like Me” From Aladdin on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Will Smith Sings “Friend Like Me” From Aladdin on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He also discusses a bit about his role as the new ‘Genie’ in the live-action Aladdin film.

While visiting The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Will Smith and Jimmy discussed his upcoming film, Aladdin. During the discussion Smith started singing a bit of his version of “Friend Like Me”, one of the iconic pieces from the film sung by his character, Genie. Watch Will Smith’s ‘live’ performance here!

Smith sure hasn’t lost his singing skills since his time on Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, but now it’s Aladdin’s turn to be turned into a prince. Did you see that exclusive clip from the film? It made me giggle!

Smith and Fallon also discuss Will’s tribute post on Instagram to Robin Williams and how he was reluctant at first to portray such an iconic and beloved character. He mentions several times he didn’t even want to take the role of ‘Genie’ at first because he wasn’t sure he could give the character justice, but ultimately decided to give it a shot and put a new spin on the character.

Fans of the animated feature film and Broadway stage production of Aladdin are interested to see how this live-action adaption compares to the 90’s Animated Classic, many hoping this film does the story justice.

Though we can expect a different approach to Genie in this film, we are very excited to see Will’s performance. From the trailers alone the music sounds incredible and we will all be singing and dancing along in the theaters. There is also an unprecedented dance number in the film to “Prince Ali” that Smith claims has 1000 extras in the scene!

Be sure to see Aladdin, starring Mena Massoud (Aladdin), Naomi Scott (Jasmine), and Will Smith (Genie), coming to theaters May 24!

You Can Find Stinky Pete With The Play Disney Parks App In Toy Story Land! Now more than ever there is so much to be discovered at Walt Disney World Resort.

With the Play Disney Parks App guests can be immersed in a whole new way while visiting the Disney Parks at Walt Disney World. One sure activity can be found at Toy Story Mania! at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Take a look!

The Old Prospector from Toy Story 2, Stinky Pete, can be found hidden in the queue line for Toy Story Mania! and can be unlocked via the Play Disney Parks App on your smartphone in the “Playhouse Party” portion of the app. Stinky Pete is right were he should be in the jail house located near the Lincoln Log Cabin where you pick up your 3D Glasses for the attraction.
