Is Bruce Campbell Getting Ready to Film His Cameo for Doctor Strange 2?

Doctor Strange (left) Bruce Campbell in Ash vs. Evil Dead (right)

Is Bruce Campbell Getting Ready to Film His Cameo for Doctor Strange 2? Actor Bruce Campbell (Ash vs. Evil Dead) teases fans that he may be making an appearance in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. With the UK back in lockdown, Bruce took time to film a “short film” of an intersection in London while in quarantine.

Many fans are hopeful that Campbell’s appearance in London is directly tied to the fact that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is currently being filmed in the UK. Having worked with Director Sam Raimi on several occasions, it makes sense that Bruce would get a chance to make a cameo appearance in the MCU, though he has shared previously he has no interest in taking on a large role in a superhero film.

Bruce shared with ComicBook.com in 2018, “Big blockbuster movies, whenever I see an actor get cast in one of those, I wince, because I go, ‘Oh, that poor son of a bitch is going to be in that suit for 10 years. If shooting schedule’s seven months of shooting, you get your one month in the Bahamas, and then you’re promoting for three months, then you go right back to the next sequel, back in that same f-cking suit.'”

He continued, “You’re looking at tennis balls on sticks. So, that process is actually not for me, even though Ash vs. Evil Dead was all that. It was all marks on walls, tennis balls on sticks, the monster’s going to be here, noise over here, you know, that sort of stuff, it’s a different type of acting, and modern day actors are learning new technical skills that the old-timey actors didn’t have to learn. Acting with nothing. That’s what they’re doing now. Castle’s not even there. ‘Oh, we’re going to put a great castle behind you. It’s not there now, but it’s going to be amazing.'”

The new Marvel Studios film will star Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange) and Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch) with Benedict Wong, Rachel McAdams, and Chiwetel Ejiofor set to return in their respective roles for the sequel. The cast is joined by newcomer Xochitl Gomez who will be playing America Chavez in her Marvel Cinematic Universe debut.

Kathryn Newton Says Joining the Cast of ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania‘ is a “Dream Come True”. As the MCU prepares to introduce the Young Avengers, Marvel Studios took the opportunity to share they have made the decision to re-cast the role of Cassie Lang from the Ant-Man franchise during The 2021 Walt Disney Company Investor Day event. The studios shared that Kathryn Newton will be replacing Abby Ryder Fortson in the role.

Recently, Kathryn spoke with THR about her recent projects and her upcoming movie, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania sharing her excitement and that this is a dream come true.

“I still feel like I can’t talk about it because I’m not on set and I just don’t want to jinx anything until I’m really there, making the movie,” Newton shared with THR. “But it’s a dream come true for me to be part of the MCU, and I’m so honored and so grateful because I love the Marvel universe so much. Five years ago, if you asked me what my dream was, I would have said, ‘To be in a Marvel move.’ So everybody who knows me knows how much it means to me, and I’m just so excited!”

Though Marvel has not shared a formal reason for the recasting, likely Marvel Studios is looking for someone to truly fulfill the role of Cassie Lang, aka Stinger, and bring in younger audiences for the next generation of Marvel Heroes.

As part of his interview, Joe said, “I spent 40 years with Walt Disney Imagineering and that word, ‘Imagineering,’ refers to the fusion of imagination and engineering. This means I’ve come from a tradition where if you are imagining something, you are imagining that thing is going to be made real. That’s also been going on here at Virgin Galactic, and I’m delighted to be joining at this incredible moment in time when it is about to blossom into public awareness.”
