Matt Damon to Return to the MCU in ‘Thor: Love and Thunder‘. Marvel Fans were shocked by the sudden appearance of Matt Damon in Thor: Ragnarok as an Asgardian Thespian who played Loki in a retelling of “Loki’s Sacrifice” from Thor: The Dark World, but it seems Damon’s role may be bigger than the surprise cameo.
According to news.com.au, Matt Damon and his family have arrived in Sydney, Australia via private jet in time to quarantine before he begins filming for the fourth Thor film. Currently, Damon’s character remains unnamed, but if he managed to survive the events of Ragnarok and Endgame, it seems we will get to see him once again in the MCU. We should note, it has not been confirmed if Damon will be playing the same character or may have been recast in a different role for the film.
“Thor: Love and Thunder, opening on May 6, 2022, begins filming next month with director Taika Waititi at the helm. Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman and Tessa Thompson return to their roles, joined by Christian Bale, who portrays villain Gorr the God Butcher.”
