Young Pirates Adventures Now at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

Young Pirates Adventures Now at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

Young guests staying at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort between the ages 10 to 16 are invited aboard a pirate-inspired adventure cruise to unravel the mystery of Captain Calico’s disappearance. Solve puzzles and collect the clues during “The Unsolved Mysteries of Barefoot Bay” while enjoying storytelling and an interactive scavenger hunt.

Avast, Ye Mateys! Donning pirate bandanas, young buccaneers board a seasoned vessel for a spirited pursuit of treasure. Sailing to exotic “ports of call” (Resort marinas), they’ll hear legends of pirates past and discover clues that may just lead to a bountiful treasure chest. At the final port of call, kids split up the pirate booty, as they enjoy a snack (such as goldfish crackers or pretzels) and a drink (such as water or a juice box). Children must be 4 to 12 years of age and potty-trained to join this pirate crew.

2 Swashbuckling Adventures!  Choose from 2 pirate adventures that traverse the waterways of Walt Disney World Resort. Each excursion is kids-only and takes place every day (weather permitting) from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM.

Islands of the Caribbean Pirate Cruise
Buccaneers sail the Ports of the Caribbean waters, as they hear the story of Old Port Royale and its pirate-laden past. Departs from Caribbean Cay, a tropical island located in the middle of Barefoot Bay.

Albatross Treasure Cruise
Kids hear “The Legend of the Albatross” and search for pirate booty across Crescent Lake and Epcot park’s World Showcase Lagoon. Departs from Bayside Marina at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and Disney’s Beach Club Resort.

The night of adventures is available on Thursdays from 8:00pm to 9:30pm and includes a snack for the young pirates. The cost is $39 per person and the check in is at Barefoot Bay Bike Works.

Call (407) WDW-PLAY or (407) 939-7529 to book in advance; walk-ins are accepted based on availability. Upon booking, please let a Cast Member know if your child has any known food allergies or other special needs.

Tickets for the Nutcracker and the Four Realms have officially gone on sale. Nutcracker has been named one of the most anticipated films released this holiday season. The Nutcracker and the Four Realms” opens Nov. 2, 2018, check out the details here:

All Clara (Mackenzie Foy) wants is a key – a one-of-a-kind key that will unlock a box that holds a priceless gift. A golden thread, presented to her at godfather Drosselmeyer’s (Morgan Freeman) annual holiday party, leads her to the coveted key—which promptly disappears into a strange and mysterious parallel world. It’s there that Clara encounters a soldier named Phillip (Jayden Fowora-Knight), a gang of mice and the regents who preside over three Realms: Land of Snowflakes, Land of Flowers and Land of Sweets. Clara and Phillip must brave the ominous Fourth Realm, home to the tyrant Mother Ginger (Helen Mirren), to retrieve Clara’s key and hopefully return harmony to the unstable world. Starring Keira Knightley as the Sugar Plum Fairy, Disney’s new holiday feature film “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms” is directed by Lasse Hallström and Joe Johnston, and inspired by E.T.A. Hoffmann’s classic tale.

Jedi Training Academy Will Close at Disneyland

jedi training

jedi training

Several online sources are reporting that the Jedi Training attraction at Disneyland will soon close.

The Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple show in Tomorrowland at Disneyland Park has long been a favorite of young guests. Kids ages 4 to 12 can register before the show to take part in the training. The kids are given a robe to wear during the show, and they are then escorted to the stage to participate.

During the show, young Jedis-in-training are taught the ways of the Force and encouraged to test their skills in defeating Darth Vader and the Dark Side.

A similar experience is available to guests at Walt Disney World’s Hollywood Studios, but at this time, there are no plans to close that attraction.

The shop will soon debut two new collections–a Star Wars collection and a Haunted Mansion collection. The shop will also offer Disney food-inspired toys for pets, like a Mickey pretzel and a Mickey waffle.
