Barrels by the Bay is back for it’s third “Brighten a Barrel” event during the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival.
From March 8 to 10, guests visiting the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival have the opportunity to paint 60 rain barrels for the local community at the “Brighten a Barrel” activity station. Guests are invited to paint the barrels from 10 AM – 5:30 PM each day near the Epcot Fountain Stage.

The non-profit organization uses rain barrels to educate about conservation and sustainability. This year, they are teaming up with Walt Disney World Resort, Coca-Cola Beverages Florida, LLC (Coke Florida), and Orlando City Mayor Buddy Dyer’s Green Works Initiative for “Brighten a Barrel”. The Green Works Initiative will install the painted rain barrels throughout Orange County.
Whether you’re headed to the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival to take in the beautiful topiaries, to sample snacks from the Outdoor Kitchens or to shop the exclusive event merchandise, be sure to stop by the “Brighten a Barrel station” and grab a paintbrush!
