New Frozen Experiences Have Arrived at Disneyland Resort

Frozen Experiences at Disneyland

The #1 animated film in the country is closer than ever, thanks to new ”Frozen” experiences popping up around the Disney Parks. Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park, in particular, have rolled out an impressive array of new attractions and opportunities for the ”Frozen 2” lover in your family.

At Disneyland, ”A Christmas Fantasy” parade now includes characters Anna, Elsa, and Olaf, aboard their own ”Frozen” float. Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique is offering special Elsa and Anna makeovers, including hair, makeup, outfits, accessories, and nail polish, all inspired by the new film (or the original, if preferred!), to help each young lady emulate her favorite princess. This package can even be reserved in advance by calling 714 -781-STYLE (714-781-7895) of visiting their website here.

At Disney California Adventure, guests can meet Anna and Elsa in new costumes inspired by ”Frozen 2” at Anna and Elsa’s Royal Welcome inside the Disney Animation Building. And speaking of animation, a new class taught by a Disney artist at the Animation Academy will enable students to ”build” their own Olaf work of art. In December, Olaf himself will even be available to greet those lucky park-goers! ”Frozen – Live at the Hyperion” continues its dynamic run as well, however, for a short time only viewers will catch glimpses of ”Frozen 2” before the performance begins. And for those who wish to stay for ”World of Color – Season of Light” (a returning favorite), ”Frozen” characters are ready to come out and entertain. Anna and Elsa can be seen playing in the snow as children, alongside Olaf, and Anna and Kristoff show a little love to the Christmas tune ”Baby, It’s Cold Outside.” DCA has a lot to offer a ”Frozen” fan!

Guests staying on property can also take advantage of Disney Floral and Gifts’ ”Frozen” in-room celebration, which includes a door banner, snowflake confetti, pillow blanket, tote, light-up lanyards, an autograph book, and that’s just the start!

The stores at Disneyland Resort have not been overlooked in ”Frozen” fever either. Guests will want to check out plushes of their favorite characters, apparel, ornaments, drinkware, pins, as well as items from the ”Arendelle Aqua” collection.

And once they need a break from shopping, visitors will definitely want a ”Frozen”-themed snack! That means an Arendelle Aqua Mickey Macaron from Clarabelle’s Hand Scooped Ice Cream in Disney California Adventure or from Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe in Disneyland. To carry their drinks around, true fans will need a Sven sipper, available at Red Rose Taverne and Maurice’s Treats in Disneyland, or at the Hyperion cart in DCA.

Frozen 2” carries on a story that has resonated with people of all ages. It’s exciting to watch the story come to life not only on-screen but in our favorite theme parks as well! Hurry over and check it out for yourself!

Happily Ever After Christmas Light Display Mimics Walt Disney World Nighttime Show

Happily Ever After Light Show

Do you love Walt Disney World? Maybe their fireworks displays are your favorite part of the day and something about Christmas at the Disney Parks makes you feel young again. But unfortunately, not everyone gets to go to Disney World during the holidays. That means fans north of Orlando have to work a little harder to get their fix this time of year. Well, Disney fans in the El Paso, Texas area, you have a special opportunity to experience some Disney magic, to get out and see a spectacular display of music and light. The ”Happily Ever After” light show has officially begun!

Rae of Light Christmas Spectacular is ready to wow guests with their Disney-inspired Christmas light show this 2019 holiday season. The display is inspired by the Magic Kingdom’s own ”Happily Ever After” fireworks show at Walt Disney World. Lights are strung up all around, flashing colors that dance to music. The show even includes projected film clips from favorite films such as ”Moana” and ”Peter Pan,” as well as the exact same music played during the original ”Happily Ever After” show. It’s like having a bit of Walt Disney World in Texas!

The show debuted on Sunday, December 1st at 7 PM, and plans are to continue running the lights throughout the season. But even if you can’t make a drive out to see the Disney magic for yourself, a special video has been created so that we can all gaze at the wonder of it. If only all our houses could be as bright this Christmas season!

The State of Florida is Suing Plane Hollywood, Inc.

The state of Florida is suing Planet Hollywood, Inc.

The Department of Economic Opportunity for the state of Florida has filed a lawsuit against Planet Hollywood. The state of Florida is accusing Planet Hollywood International, Inc. of disobeying the state’s requirements after receiving $288,000 in state incentives to add jobs to the city of Orlando.

The suit was filed in Leon County circuit court with the allegation that Planet Hollywood breached a contract with the state.

Governor Rick Scott approved the amount of $280,000 be given to Planet Hollywood out of the state’s Quick Action Closing Fund Program. This program linked monetary incentives with the creation of jobs.

Planet Hollywood International, Inc. deemed that the money was a necessary investment after they bought the Buca di Beppo restaurant chain. Planet Hollywood claimed that they were considering moving the Bucca di Beppo’s headquarters to the Orlando area. According to the lawsuit and the agreement with the state, Planet Hollywood was ordered to create a certain amount of jobs for the local population and file regular reports showing they were meeting the terms of the contract.

According to the Department of Economic Opportunity, a single report was not submitted. The contract was terminated in 2016 by the state of Florida with the condition of repayment of $288,000, but they have not received the money.

Epcot’s America Pavilion Stuns with Its Gingerbread Display

American Pavilion Gingerbread

American Gingerbread

There’s a lot of gingerbread around the Parks at this time of year, and the resorts start to get some of the love that they deserve through visits from Holiday gawkers. The granddaddy of all gingerbread houses at the Grand Floridian is what Disney-goers usually think of when they make their plans. Other favorites include this year’s first-ever gingerbread house at the Wilderness Lodge. But did you know that there’s a very special gingerbread display at Epcot? It’s located in the American Adventure attraction building and it’s filled with patriotic beauty and sweetness!

Epcot's America Pavilion Stuns with Its Gingerbread Display

The display is an accumulation of easily-recognizable American landmarks, such as the United States Capitol Building and its iconic white dome (made of chocolate! Even better than the original, don’t you think?).

The Jefferson Memorial is also on display. Something tells me the holly bears a resemblance to a certain famous mouse too!

The Lincoln Memorial has impressive details, and of course, a notable figure sitting inside!

But perhaps the most impressive piece of work is the Washington Monument, which stands at 7 feet tall. Who doesn’t love an edible structure that’s bigger than they are? And gracing it, along with the other monuments, are a few seasonal decorations to tie them all together in a Christmas theme.

What a magnificent display! Be sure and head over to Epcot’s American Adventure to discover what 160 pounds of gingerbread look like! And be sure to keep your eyes open for those hidden Mickeys while you’re there!
