Sea World Christmas Celebration

Sea World Christmas Celebration

I recently had the privilege of attending the Sea World Christmas Celebration, and I want to tell you all about it!  First, the details.  The Sea World Christmas Celebration started on November 17, 2018 and it will run until December 31, 2018.  Attendance at the Sea World Christmas Celebration is included in your Sea World ticket.

Sea World Christmas Celebration

Now for the fun parts.  I got to the park before the sun went down to check in and learn about what was going on.  After that, it was time to enjoy the celebration.  As the sun went down, I got to see the Sea of Trees, above, light up.  There was also a pretty cool show involved, and I loved how the reflections of the trees on the water added to the show.

Sea World Christmas Celebration

There is a Christmas Market set up in one part of the park, but the whole park is decorated to celebrate Christmas.  This is just one example of the beautiful lights I saw all through the park.  In fact, I killed the battery in my phone because I took so many pictures of the lights.

Sea World Christmas Celebration

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is one of my all time favorite Christmas movies, and this Rudolph village was amazing to see.  There are meet and greets with Rudolph, Clarice, Yukon Cornelius, and the Bumble Snow Monster.  In another part of the park, you can meet the big man himself, Santa Claus.  There is also the option to buy priority access to meet these characters either at the gate or on their website.  You can also get a dining package to have a meal with Santa and it gives you priority seating for two of the holiday shows.  Since I was trying to see everything, I chose the show I most wanted to see to tell you about, and that was Shamu’s Christmas Miracle.  I’ve seen Shamu before, but I really enjoyed this show.  I also think the people in the splash zones got wetter than I’ve ever seen during the day.  Good thing it was hot that night because that water is cold!

Sea World Christmas Celebration

Time for food!  I love to eat and have a serious sweet tooth.  Get ready for a serious food picture overload.  The badge pictured above is the Red Tasting and Brew Sampler.  $25 gets you five treats and seasonal brews.  You can also get the Gold Tasting and Brew Sampler, which is $40 for ten treats and seasonal brews.  Let me tell you that one person will get full on five treats.

Sea World Christmas Celebration

First up is the Turkey Sundae Dinner Bowl.  This is mashed potatoes, stuffing, turkey, and cranberry sauce drizzled with gravy.  It was just as delicious as it looks.

Sea World Christmas Celebration

This is the S’mores Cone before it goes into the cone, which is in the picture on my badge.  This treat was so chocolatey and delicious, you simply have to try it because I can’t do it justice in words.

Sea World Christmas Celebration

Yes, the lighting is a little off, but that is because I was standing under colored lights when I took it.  This is Chicken and Waffles topped with maple syrup, whipped cream, and bacon.  I was a little skeptical when I grabbed this one, but the combination of sweet and savory in this treat is perfect.  There is also just a little bit of heat in the chicken that gives it a kick.

Sea World Christmas Celebration

This one, I went looking for.  This is Brisket Mac and Cheese.  There is brisket in the mac and cheese and then they topped it with a big piece of brisket and drizzled it with barbecue sauce.  I was starting to get full by now, and I still ate most of this one because it was that good.  Now for dessert.

Sea World Christmas Celebration

Vanilla cake, vanilla buttercream icing, and red and green sprinkles.  This was everything I wanted out of a cupcake, though I did have to wait until the next day to eat this one.  And the next one.

Sea World Christmas Celebration

Red velvet.  What else can I say?  It was as delicious as you would expect from a red velvet cupcake.  However, I ate these the next day because of the next treat.

Sea World Christmas Celebration

Waffle cone filled with Holiday Cheesecake.  Holiday Cheesecake is the cheesecake filling and those sprinkles on top are Pop Rocks.  This treat had me using some poor judgement and eating more than I should have.  This treat is also available with an apple crisp filling, but this one was definitely the one I wanted.  Now, drinks.  (I told you I ate a lot.)

Sea World Christmas Celebration

This drink is peppermint hot chocolate with marshmallows, whipped cream, and crushed peppermint sprinkled on top.  It comes in this souvenir mug which I accidentally knocked over later in the evening and, with the lid on and closed, it didn’t leak, and that made me happy.  I also tried the Frozen Candy Cane, which is also a drink, but it comes in the same cup with the lid on, so the picture wouldn’t have shown you my pink, minty drink.  It is not a bad choice, but I would definitely go with the hot chocolate.

Sea World Christmas Celebration Sea World Christmas Celebration Sea World Christmas Celebration Sea World Christmas Celebration

Last part, I swear.  This is a sampling of the merchandise they have.  I would have preferred to see more that were branded with the name of the park, but I am in love with the spotted elephant and wish I had gotten one.

Sea World Christmas Celebration

I also took a picture of this sign outside the Guy Harvey Shop to let all of you know that Guy Harvey himself will be doing a meet and greet there on December 8 and 9.  Phew!  That was a lot of stuff and, honestly, it was a fraction of what I did there.  You should really go check it out yourself before it ends.

Mickey Mouse Memories Collection Goes Iridescent

Iridescent

Each month a magical new Mickey Mouse Memories collection makes it’s debut at shopDisney and the Disney Store. For December it looks like the collection is getting an icy makeover, with a stunning Iridescent look!

Each month a new limited edition Mickey Plush, set of three pins, and a mug is revealed. These items are only while supplies last, and usually sell out quick! The December collection is hoping onto the iridescent trend that’s been popular lately, with a design that looks shimmery and icy!

You can commemorate Mickey’s legacy with this month’s exclusive collection on December 8! The collection will go live at Stores when they open, and online at shopDisney at midnight PST. Will you be adding this icy cool assortment to your Mickey Memories collection?

Ralph Breaks the Internet Tops the Box Office Sales for its Second Weekend

Wreck-It Ralph 2

Ralph Breaks the Internet Tops the Box Office Sales for its Second Weekend!  Ralph Breaks the Internet topped the box office sales for the second weekend in a row with the sequel to Wreck it Ralph. Repeating number one with $25.8 million in sales this weekend alone.

Even with a drop in 54% of sales from last weekend, nothing came close to the number one spot held by Ralph and friends. In just 11 days the film cleared $207 million worldwide!  That’s a lot of popcorn.

Disney has teamed up with Geocaching to provide children and adults of all ages a unique experience!  Huey, Dewey, Louie, along with their good friend Webby, from the hit Disney Junior show Duck Tales, are in for an epic surprise as they embark on a globe-trotting adventure and treasure hunt after they discover that their Uncle, Scrooge McDuck, is the one-and-only trillionaire treasure hunter.

DisneyJunior’s DuckTales has teamed up with Geocaching to provide a unique experience!

In the classic cartoon re-imagined Huey is the oldest brother and often referred to as “the responsible one”. Huey is quite the explorer, always testing his mettle, and will one day earn his Adventurer’s Merit badge.  Dewey, the second brother in the dynamic trio is always looking for ways to stand out from the crowd. Dewey, who is nicknamed “The Guts” of the family, is always quick to throw himself into dangerous situations without thinking. Louie is the youngest of the three brothers, but don’t let that fool you. Louie is a quick-witted, fast thinking duck who has a knack for charming his way into, but not always out of, danger. Lastly, Webby is an adventurous duck who has an encyclopedia of knowledge and amazing self-defense skills that make her a perfect addition to the Ducktales family.  Throughout their Geocaching trip, with the help of Geocachers like you, the Ducktales gang will embark on globe-trotting adventures and treasure hunts, uncover family secrets, and face dangerous enemies to prove that family is the greatest adventure of all.

DisneyJunior’s DuckTales has teamed up with Geocaching to provide a unique experience!

Geocaching, is a popular extracurricular activity that allows user to use GPS coordinates to track “hidden treasure”.  Geocachers will start by visiting the Geocaching website to create an account. Once an account is created you will select “Play” on the top left, then click “View Map”.  You may be prompted to enter in your city and state. From there you will click on the green boxes to start your quest. However, once you find your Geocache box you will take what’s in the box, but be sure to leave some other treasure behind for others to find!  Whether you are an individual embarking on these adventures or have created your own team, Geocaching is a simple and fun activity that can last for hours.

Which is why Disney has provided Geocache with 5,000 Huey, Dewey, Louie, and Webby trackables to be used all over the United States.  Many individuals have already received their trackables and started the gang on their journey to find adventures and treasure. To find the trackables already in play visit https://www.geocaching.com/promotions/promo/ducktales/ at the bottom of the page on the map.  As you start on your journey, be sure to document the adventure of one of the four gang members by entering the trackables into the Geocaching website into the trackable logs.  Once that has been completed be sure to share you latest finds on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter using #DuckTalesCache to allow others to follow along on this adventurous journey!

The New Gold and Black Mickey 90 Ears Are Finally Here

Mickey 90 Ears

This has been a great year for shimmering Mouse Ear headbands! The newest ones to hit the shelves celebrate the one and only Mickey Mouse, in a very dapper gold and black design. The Gold and Black Mickey 90 Ears are perfect to ring in the New Year, and even have a hidden surprise.

These fabulous ears celebrate 90 years of Mickey, and are coated in beautiful gold sequins! The headband even has the new trend of embroidered quotes on the side too. “#MICKEY90” has been stitched into the side of this headband, as a lasting way to commemorate the True Original’s 90th anniversary.

That’s not all though, these Mickey ears transform! You can remove the formal bow in the center, to use as a bow tie! I do love an accessory with multiple ways to style it!

You can find the new gold and black Mickey 90 Ears with removable bow tie now at World of Disney in Disney Springs and Downtown Disney.
