There’s a new Starbucks “You Are Here” mug haunting Disneyland. The newest Disneyland Starbucks Mug has debuted, and it features New Orleans Square. The main attraction on this mug is none other than the infamous, Haunted Mansion! I addition to Haunted Mansion, the other popular attraction Pirates of the Caribbean is also featured.

Bright oranges, purples, and greens color the design on this mug. The collection of bright, and dark colors in this combo gives the mug both a spooky, yet summery feel at the same time. The other side of the mug also has the dog from Pirates of the Caribbean holding the key to the jail cell, and a pirate ship too! The horizon of New Orleans Square can be seen in the background of this incredible mug as well. This is one of my favorites from the Disney inspired “You Are Here” mugs, so I’m not surprised it keeps selling out!

Interview with Abby Ryder Forston

Three years after the release of “Ant-Man,” Abby Ryder Fortson still retains the sassy demeanor that made her memorable as Scott’s young daughter, Cassie. Now nine years old, Fortson feels that Cassie, too, has grown up a bit and will do whatever is necessary to help her father. “Cassie has been spending lots of time with her dad and is so happy because he actually shows her what it’s like to be a superhero when they play,” says Abby.

We had the pleasure of speaking with Abby during a recent exclusive interview and how it was like working with the Cast & Crew of Marvel’s “Antman and the Wasp”. Here is the full interview:

Q: How was your experience coming back for the second movie? Are you excited to have fans see Cassie return?

Abby: I was really excited to work again with all of the amazing people that were on the first Ant-Man, there were more people than the last one and it was just great to keep working with those people.

Q: Who do you think is cooler, Ant-Man or the Wasp?

Abby: If I had to choose if I wanted to be either one I would have to choose the Wasp. She’s awesome. She has blasters and shrinks things by blasting them and she has wings.

Q: How was it working with Paul Rudd and the rest of cast of Antman and the Wasp?

Paul Rudd is a sweet kind, funny actor and he is great to work it was a pleasure to work with him.

Q: What was your favorite scene to shoot?

Abby: My favorite scene to shoot was the maze scene when going through it. Going through lasers was a lot of fun.

Q: How old were you when you started acting?

Abby: I always say this just because it’s true. I started working in my mom’s belly because she was doing a job while she was pregnant with me. And my parents were all actors and my first job was with my dad for a Chevrolet commercial I booked it when I was 3 I started working on it when I was 4.

Q: Have you seen the other Marvel movies? And what is your favorite?

Abby: I have not seen any other movies, but I really want to. I’ve only seen Ant-Man and Ant-Man the wasp.

Q: If you can be a superhero, What would be your one superpower?

Abby: My superpower would be to turn into anything with still the mind of a Human.

Q: What is your dream movie project you would like to work on?

There’s a book that I really want to make into a movie, it’s a book series called the Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel and I would really want to play Scathach she’s a Female warrior. And a vegetarian vampire.

Q: What do you like doing in your spare time?

Abby: I love reading and I really love playing soccer.

Q: Do you get used to being a celebrity?

Abby: I wouldn’t call myself for celebrity and I never wanted to be one, I just really want to keep acting and doing my good work.

At just seven years of age, Abby Ryder Forston was named one of the top 12 actors under the age of 12 by Entertainment Weekly. Abby received rave reviews for her standout, strong performances guest-starring as Harper Weil throughout Steven Spielberg’s ABC series “The Whispers,” opposite Lily Rabe. On the big screen, Abby won over critics with her wry sense of humor and spot-on delivery starring opposite Paul Rudd.

The Lion King remake

We cannot wait for the remake of The Lion King to hit theaters next year. Here is everything we know about The Lion King remake so far!

The film is directed by Jon Favreau. Writer of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, Jeff Nathanson, wrote the scrict and Brenda Chapman is credited with the story while the characters are credited to Irene Mecchi, Jonathan Roberts and Linda Woolverton. Producing the film is Favreau along with Jeffrey Silver and Karen Gilchrist.

The voice cast is STAR STUDDED! Simba is played by Donald Glover while Beyonce voices the character of Nala. James Earl Jones once again voices Mufasa, the same role he had in the 1994 Disney animated version. Billy Eichner and Seth Rogan play Timon and Pumbaa respectively. The role of Zazu is voiced by John Oliver and Rafiki by John Kani. Chiwetel Ejiofor will bring the villainous Scar to life with Eric Andre, Florence Kasumba and Keegan-Michael Key taking on the roles of his hyena henchmen. Alfre Woodard plays Sarabi, Simba’s mother and JD McCrary and Shahadi Wright-Joseph lend their voices to the roles of Young Simba and Nala.

While little has been said about the plot and Disney has yet to release any footage to the public, the opening scene was previewed at D23 last summer and it is very reminiscent of the animated version.

The remake of The Lion King is being created using “virtual production,” or a mix of CGI and live-action techniques. While there don’t appear to be any human characters in it, it is not necessarily considered an animated film. Favreau directed it very much like it were live-action.

The movie, like it’s animated predecessor is set in Africa, but filming took place in Los Angeles.

Only four of the original songs made it into this version: “Can You Feel the Love Tonight,” “Hakuna Matata,” “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” and “Circle of Life.” Although Elton John and Tim Rice did compose a new a song for the film, in collaboration with Beyonce.

The Lion King is set to ROAR into theaters on July 19, 2019!

Could Incredibles 2 Become the Biggest Animated Film Yet?!

It looks like Incredibles 2 is set to become the biggest animated film to date! After a strong third weekend at the box office it’s all but a sure thing!

This past weekend the Disney Pixar sequel grossed The Disney/Pixar sequel grossed $45.5 million – giving it a 43 percent dip and coming in second to the Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom which grossed $60 million.

Since its release, Incredibles 2 has grossed $440 million domestically and $647 million worldwide. That ranks the film second for highest grossing Pixar film ever in North America and makes it the third-biggest animated film – that is before adjustments for inflation are made.

It’s estimated that Incredibles 2 will soon pass “Finding Dory” as the biggest Pixar film and the biggest animated film.

As of now Disney holds six of the seven highest-grossing animated movies in North America – with only DreamWorks Animation’s Shrek 2 in the mix.

In the domestic market, “Incredibles 2” is currently claims the title of third-biggest movie of the year. It is behind two other Disney superhero movies: “Black Panther” ($699.8 million) and “Avengers: Infinity War” ($672.5 million).

In Incredibles 2, Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) navigates the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell), Dash (voice of Huck Milner) and baby Jack-Jack—whose super powers are about to be discovered. Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything. But the Parrs don’t shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) by their side. That’s what makes this family so Incredible.

According to the Theme Index and Museum Index released by Themed Entertainment Association and AECOM, The Walt Disney World Resort’s Magic Kingdom park ranks 1 for theme park attendance across the globe in 2017.

Nearly 20.5 million parkgoers chose Magic Kingdom park as their theme park to visit according to the report that ranks the top museums, water parks and theme parks in the world and by region, based on attendance. Not only that, but they explain the reasons for the highs and lows. For example, the list Pandora – World of Avatar as a reason for the North American Disney parks growing by 3% and bad weather and a lack of reinvestment for the reasons water park attendance shrunk.

The report states that “The major theme park operators had an outstanding year with 8.6 percent overall growth led largely by properties in China, where attendance swelled by nearly 20 percent. Global attraction attendance at the major operators is now almost half a billion visits a year, and is more than double the attendance of all the major sport leagues around the world.”

Welcoming 150 million guests to its venues worldwide, Disney dominated the list. The took first place in the Top 10 Theme Park Groups division. While in North America disney parks held the first five of 20 spots! Growing nearly 5% over the previous year, 244 million visitors headed to the world’s top 25 theme parks.

Magic Kingdom entertainment will be effected by construction on select dates in July. Guests visiting Magic Kingdom in the upcoming weeks should be aware that some of the entertainment will be canceled due to concrete work. The Trolley Show use Main Street Ranch Wagon and the 11 am Move It! Shake It! Dane and Play It! Street Party will be canceled. Here are the dates for these changes:

Fireworks From Magic Kingdom

Every year the Magic Kingdom celebrates Independence Day with spectacular fireworks on both evenings of July 3 and July 4. Our friend Big Fat Panda took some amazing video of last night’s 2018 display that we wanted to share with all of you. If you happen to be at Walt Disney World, Disney’s Celebrate America! – A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky will take place again at 9:15 PM tonight at Magic Kingdom park.

Watch in wonder as blazing fireworks ignite and fantastic effects light up the sky above Cinderella Castle—all while a magnificent musical score surrounds you with the reverberations of triumph and joy.
