The Many Highlights for The Disneyland Resort in 2018.

New Sticker Construction Wall Up at Pixar Pier

The Many Highlights for The Disneyland Resort in 2018.

There have been many high points for the Walt Disney Corporation in 2018.  There have been many highlights for the Disneyland Resort in 2018 as well!!  We know of the many highlights to come in the new year, but let’s take a minute to be grateful of how far we have come in 2018!

The Many Highlights for The Disneyland Resort in 2018.

The many highlights for The Disneyland Resort in 2018 started right off the bat in February.  On February 19th the Black Panther and his royal guards arrived at Disney California Adventure park.  Located in the Hollywood Backlot area, guests can welcome the king of Wakanda surrounded by the Dora Milaje for a limited-time experience.

The Many Highlights for The Disneyland Resort in 2018.

The highlights for The Disneyland Resort continued April 13th with the first ever Pixar Fest.  This event celebrated friendship and beyond with the “Together Forever- A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular”.  As the firework show debuted, the “Paint the Nights” parade and the “Pixar Play Parade” returned!  April ended with a bang with an emotional performance from the top 10 contestants on “American Idol” performed in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle.

On May 21st the Disneyland Resort rolled out a new mobile ordering service.  The mobile ordering service launched via the Disneyland App.  The new app allowed guests to conveniently place orders at select fast casual and quick-service restaurants throughout the parks!

The Many Highlights for The Disneyland Resort in 2018.

For some guests the highlights for the Disneyland Resort continued when this brassy buccaneer arrived on June 8th.  That brassy buccaneer is the one and only Redd headed pirate!  To top it all off Pirates of the Caribbean reopened with new magic in New Orleans Square.

The Many Highlights for The Disneyland Resort in 2018.

In June guests were welcomed to Pixar Pier!  Not only did Pixar Pier officially open at Disney California Adventure Park for guests, but the new Incredicoaster was debuted!  This new pier offers exciting themed attractions, entertainment, food and more for guests of all ages to enjoy!

The Many Highlights for The Disneyland Resort in 2018.

In September, which is sure to be a highlight for The Disneyland Resort, is the special visit from Shakira.  On break from her world tour, Shakira is seen here visiting Miguel from Disney-Pixar’s “Coco” at Disney California Adventure Park!

This next highlight is my favorite! The reimagined World of Disney store reopened on October 26th! This place is so magical.  Guests can now shop in a contemporary designed store complete with many magical touches.  Be sure to check this store out in Downtown Disney!

The Many Highlights for The Disneyland Resort in 2018.

The November Celebration of 90 years of magic with Mickey Mouse was a huge highlight for The Disneyland Resort!  This party is so big it will continue into the New Year!  You can catch this party with the Get Your Ears On-A Mickey and Minnie Celebration.

We will finish off the highlights with the debut of the Tropical Hideaway on December 21st.  This new marketplace is nestled between the Jungle Cruise and Walt Disney’s Enchanted Tiki Room.  Check out the video of the new room below!!  Before you go, did you have a favorite highlight for the Disneyland Resort in 2018?

Get Fit This New Year With Disney Inspired Workouts!

Get Fit This New Year With Disney Inspired Workouts!

It’s that time of year where everyone thinks resolutions and physical fitness!  Why not get the whole family involved with these Disney inspired workouts!  I can’t wait to try the Mulan one with my little warriors. Which do you think your family would like the most?

Mulan-Inspired Workout

Inspired by one of the fiercest Disney Princesses, this Mulan-themed exercise is just what your family needs to kickstart the day. You and your kiddo will love working on your strength and discipline along with your favorite characters from the film.

Moana-Inspired Workout

With moves inspired by Moana‘s sailing skills, Maui’s muscles, and Tomatoa’s claws, your island-loving kiddos will be psyched to follow along with this workout. No matter the time of year, your family will feel like they’re one with the ocean thanks to this video.

The Lion King-Inspired Workout

This classic film is a favorite of both ’90s kids and our kids alike, so we just know you and your little one are going to have a blast with this workout. It starts off with a stretch inspired by that iconic moment Rafiki raises baby Simba into the air and moves into a fun-filled, action-packed Mufasa “roar.”

The Incredibles-Inspired Workout

We love this Disney•Pixar film because it reminds us not only to band together, but to also embrace our differences. This episode of Get Moving weaves in the important message of loving what makes you special, along with some high-energy moves. From stretching like Elastigirl to running as fast as Dash, this incredible workout will inspire you and your family to work together like our favorite Supers.

Peter Pan-Inspired Workout

Featuring Tink, Peter Pan, and Captain Hook, this Peter Pan-inspired workout is fun for the whole family! From flying over the skies of London to marching around like one of the Lost Boys, you and your mini-me will love this workout.

The Jungle Book-Inspired Workout

This Jungle Book workout couldn’t be a more fun way to work on your fitness while getting your Disney fix. From marching like a herd of elephants to swinging your arms like King Louie the orangutan, your home will be filled with giggles and Disney magic as you follow this workout alongside your little ones.

  • Meet the one and only Edna Mode – the greatest super suit designer! She will set up a special location on Pixar Place showcasing some of her best creations (no capes!).

  • Also on Pixar Place, look for clues to the whereabouts of the youngest Incredible, the mischievous and multi-powered Jack-Jack.

  • Elsewhere at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, a door to the monster world will open inside Walt Disney Presents, where you’ll have a chance to meet Mike and Sulley from Pixar’s Monsters, Inc.

  • Celebrate the 25th anniversary of Walt Disney Pictures’ “The Lion King” at Disney’s Animal Kingdom along with Timon and Rafiki in the “Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party” on Discovery Island. Let your inner animal roam free on the dance floor in this raucous party!

  • Also at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, have fun posing in front of special three-dimensional photo opportunities re-creating scenes from the animated classic.

  • The Epcot International Festival of the Arts is back! This year’s special event takes place Jan. 18 – Feb.25, allowing you to indulge in world-class culinary, visual and performing arts.

  • The Disney on Broadway Concert Series is expanding to seven days a week during the Festival of the Arts, so you’ll have even more opportunities to experience some Disney musical magic live on stage.

  • And later in the year…

    1. Welcome spring’s arrival with the Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival, returning March 6 – June 3 with its wide selection of delectable bites at outdoor kitchens and dozens of Disney-themed topiaries blooming around the park.
  • Even better, this year’s Garden Rocks Concert Series expands, as well, to seven days a week during the Flower & Garden Festival, which means a total of 270 concerts over the course of the 90-day event.

  • Ka-Chow! Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy rolls into Disney’s Hollywood Studios in spring 2019. In this new show experience, you’ll come face to face with Lightning and learn from his years of experience on the track.

  • Outside the Racing Academy, you’ll get to meet Lightning McQueen’s speedy pal, Cruz Ramirez.

  • And finally…

    1. If you haven’t visited Walt Disney World Resort recently, then there’s even more for you to explore and experience. Become an honorary toy at Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, travel to the bioluminescent planet of Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom or wish a fond farewell to “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth” – the nighttime spectacular at Epcot– before its conclusion scheduled for the second half of 2019.
