Animated Marvel Rising: Chasing Ghosts Debuts Single “Side By Side”.

The new animated special, Marvel Rising: Chasing Ghosts, debuted an exclusive new single “Side by Side”. The new animated special is executive produced by Joe Quesada, Dan Buckley, Cort Lane, and Eric Radomski. The show is co-executive produced by Stan Lee, Sana Amanat, and Marsha Griffin and written by Mairghread Scott. With supervising animation producer and director, Alfred Gimeno.

Marvel Rising: Chasing Ghosts will feature many well-known Disney stars as the voices in the animated feature. Dove Cameron, along with Descendants co-star Booboo Stewart, will star as Ghost-Spider and Exile. Tyler Posey will star as Inferno, Chloe Bennet as Quake and Cierra Ramirez as America Chavez. Also included in the cast is Milan Vayntrub as Squirrel Girl, Kathreen Khavari as Ms. Marvel, and Kamil McFadden as Patriot. Skai Jackson will star as Gloria Grant, Dee Bradley Baker as Lockjaw/Tippy-toe, and Steven Webber as Captain Stacy. Rounding out the cast is Tara Strong as Mary Jane Watson and Amanda C. Miller as Sheath.

The new animated Marvel Rising: Chasing Ghosts follows fan-favorite Ghost-Spider as she teams-up with the secret warriors to bring down villains Sheath and Exile. The team leader, Quake will try and convince Ghost-Spider to join the team, will she join the team for good?

In addition to an amazing cast is a the newly released single, “Side by Side” performed by Sofia Wylie from the hit show, “Andi Mack”. Watch the new exclusive single performed by Sofia Wylie for the animated feature Marvel Rising: Chasing Ghosts.

That didn’t last long! We reported that Ghiradelli at Disney Springs had stopped handing out free samples to guests as they visited the store. Tonight while we were shopping at the Springs we noticed they brought back the samples!

Could it be that guests were upset by this change and they brought them back? Maybe they had just run low on samples and were holding off handing them out until they restocked? Either way, we are excited they are back!

Anika Noni Rose Will Guest Star on Marvel’s Avengers: Black Panther’s Quest.

The animated TV series, Marvel’s Avengers: Black Panther’s Quest will have a new voice on an upcoming episode. Anika Noni Rose will guest star as Yemandi on the episode.

Marvel’s Avengers: Black Panther’s Quest is a series on Disney XD. The series was created as a fifth season as part of the channel’s “Avengers Assemble” series. However, the Black Panther’s Quest season will focus exclusively on Wakandan King. During the season, Black Panther must cast away old alliances, rules and friends after an ancient and mysterious threat rises to destroy Wakanda. Black Panther must chart a new forward for himself and for the people of Wakanda. With his sister, Shuri, by his side, Black Panther must decide what kind of king, Avenger, and man he will be.

The series became a hit TV series after the live-action “Black Panther” film from Marvel Studios garnered critical acclaim and box office success.

During this week’s episode, airing on January 20, 2019 at 9:00pm on Disney XD, viewers will hear a new voice. Anika Noni Rose will guest star at Yemandi, the Original Black Panther and Queen of Wakanda. Viewers might recognize Anika Noni Rose from “The Princess and the Frog”. New Gyro Introduced At Earl Of Sandwich In Downtown Disney District

One of our favorite places to grab a quick bite to eat is Earl of Sandwich. It’s hard not to love everything about this place – the food, the atmosphere, did I mention the food? We were lucky enough to attend a media event at Disneyland’s Downtown Disney District location on January 17, 2019 where the new The Earl’s Gyro sandwich was unveiled!

The Earl’s Gyro is a “Taste of Greece with a Royal Touch”. It is exactly that! The Earl’s Gyro consists of roasted, seasoned beef & lamb, tzatziki sauce, lettuce, Roma tomato, and red onion all on freshly baked artisan bread. The cost of this new, limited-time menu addition is $7.99.

Other Sandwiches

Other sandwiches were on display during this event as well. The Original 1762 sandwich contains roasted beef, cheddar, and horseradish sauce – yum! If you like the sandwiches from Arby’s you will definitely want to give this a try.

The Holiday Turkey sandwich is your Thanksgiving dinner reimagined into a sandwich. It contains turkey, cornbread stuffing, gravy, cranberry sauce & mayonnaise. I don’t think it’s possible to imagine a more perfect sandwich, can you? For those that just love a good Turkey dinner – this one is for you!

Salads Served Too!

Contrary to its name, Earl of Sandwich does not only serve sandwiches – salads (as well as soups) can be ordered here as well. Salad-lovers will not be disappointed with these three options that were displayed!

Who loves a good Cobb Salad? If so, you will just love the Earl’s Cobb! This salad contains fresh greens, grilled chicken, bacon, cheddar, Roma tomato, cucumber, cranberries. It is served with Ranch dressing.

The Berry Chicken Almond salad has a fresh spinach and spring lettuce base. It also includes grilled chicken, fresh strawberries, fresh blueberries, almonds, and balsamic vinaigrette. This is a perfect option for a warm day.

The Quinoa Chicken Salad is great for health-conscious individuals. The base is made of up fresh greens. Grilled chicken, feta, quinoa, red onions, fresh strawberries, and Mandarin oranges are added to the mix. It is served with a light balsamic vinaigrette.

Aside from The Earl’s Gyro, these other items are part of the normal menu at Earl of Sandwich. Toy Story Land Taken Over By Andy

Wouldn’t it be awesome if Toy Story Land located in Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World was taken over by Andy? Well, for several hours one special night it was!

“Andy Night” was a special invite-only, after-hours event. For one night, every guest who set foot into Andy’s Backyard was named ‘Andy’. In all, fifty guests attended the event. Attendees included students named Andi, Andrew (a concept designer), Andre Meadows (Internet personality) and Andrea Barber (actress of Full House and Fuller House fame). The one thing that each Andy had in common is that they all had a flair for being imaginative.

All of the Andys were first shrunk down to the size of a toy. Next, they were greeted by numerous Green Army Men. Guests had the opportunity to enjoy Slinky Dog Dash, Alien Swirling Saucers, and Toy Story Mania! before meeting both Woody and Jessie. At the end of the evening, one Andy stated, “Thank you, Mom and Dad, for naming me Andy!”.

The special experience was used to develop a campaign demonstrating that Toy Story Land appeals to all ages and generations. Grammy-nominated director Andy Hines directed this film and a 90-second version will be airing in select theaters during the month of January. (Even the director shared the name Andy!)

Disney+ is Coming and the Excitement for the Highly Anicipated Streaming Service is Growing

Disney+ is getting closer to its highly anticipated arrival! Rumors are swirling with speculation of what the Disney owned streaming service will bring and we are getting more details.

The chairman of Walt Disney direct-to-consumer and international offers division, Kevin Mayer has wrapped up the $71.3 billion deal with 21st Century Fox and is now awaiting approval from just a few more regulatory boards to complete the deal. Meyer has shifted focus from the purchase to work on finalizing the Disney+ streaming service in 2019.

The acquisition of both the film and television studios of 21st Century Fox and a major piece of Hulu, have put Disney in the position to become a powerhouse in the streaming industry. With Mayer leading the newly created division including ESPN+, Disney+, and the stake in Hulu under his umbrella, the former chief strategy officer is excited.

Disney does face competition in the direct-to-consumer streaming market. With the average consumer subscribing to three or four streaming services there is certainly room for Disney+. Disney is not trying to come out as a winner over the other services, but rather focus on the consumer. Their goal is merely to serve their consumers with choice. As the days of the mega channel, cable package draws to a close. Disney intends to use their services to allow consumers choice over what they want and don’t want in channels.

So, what are we expecting from Disney+? While there is no official lineup yet subscribers can expect exclusive content. The streaming service will include many of the core brands with a variety of releases including theatrical films, television, and original content. Additionally, there is the possibility the new service will bring back the Netflix canceled Marvel shows; Mayer acknowledges Luke Cage and Iron Fist both canceled after two seasons as high-quality shows. Ultimately, a nice mix of non-original and original content is expected.

So get ready to spend some quality time on your couch to see all that Disney+ has to offer.

Terminally Ill Avengers: Endgame Fan Asks to See Pre-Screening.

A terminally ill Avengers: Endgame Fan, and member of the Reddit community, took to Social Media to ask for help. The member, named alexander_q, shared his personal life story on the popular social media site in hopes to see the movie, Avengers: Endgame, as a final wish before he passes.

Alexander_q told readers that he suffers from liver cancer, mouth cancer and bone marrow failure. Alexander goes on to state, “I’m not a child or anyone with a particularly tragic story. Just a normal guy, I’m 33, lost my sister three years ago to the same rare genetic disease it turns out I have too. I though I’d make it to April at least, but my bone marrow is toast.” Alexander, as well as his sister, suffer from a genetic disease called Fanconi Anemia.

Avengers: Endgame is slated to release April 26, 2019. Alexander says his “endgame” is well before April. Hearing his story, and after a few moderators proved his story was in fact real, the internet went to work to help this young man out. Alexander was humbled to receive so many kind messages, he even said that strangers offered him their organs, started a hashtag on Twitter #Avengers4Alexander, and created YouTube videos sharing his story in hopes it will reach Disney/Marvel.

Alexander soon began receiving messages from people stating that the Marvel higher ups are aware of his story and will be contacting him soon! It also turns out he may have some distant connections to someone who might know Chris Hemsworth, who contacted him on Alex’s behalf. Alexander still remains humble, “I don’t know what the outcome will be, but this has been amazing. If it doesn’t pan out, don’t sweat it. I’ll carry your kind words with me and that’s worth far more.” Alex also goes on to add, “If I do survive until Endgame, it’s going to feel strange because I’ll feel sort of obligated to die :P”.

Alexander ends his post, after several “edit” updates, with the statement, “WE DID IT REDDIT!”. According to Alexander, Disney has reached out and are discussing options. He added the final statement, “I cried when I read their email. It’s everything I hoped for and I owe it to all of you!” At the time of publishing of this article there has not been an update on if this Avengers: Endgame fan will be receiving his final wish.

The Incredibles Souvenir Straw Is Now Available At Hollywood Studios

Pixar Place has been transformed into Municiberg at Hollywood Studios! A lot of fun new things have soared into Hollywood Studios as part of this exciting transformation too. I’m most excited to see some of the Disneyland exclusives finally hitting Walt Disney World, like the Incredibles Souvenir Straw!

The heroic straw has made it’s appearance at the newly renamed “Neighborhood Bakery” in Hollywood Studios. The straw joins other sought after favorites like the Luxo Ball Straw, and the Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums. The straw features Helen Parr/Elastigirl stretching out as the “straw” while holding a smiling Jack-Jack. You can add this straw to any drink at the Neighborhood Bakery for just $4.00! It’s a very sturdy straw you can reuse over and over again. This souvenir is also handy to keep around during your Disney trip if you’re trying to help reduce to use of disposable straws too.

New Details on the Lion King and Jungle Festival at Disneyland Paris!

Roaring into summer is the wild new season, The Lion King & Jungle Festival, coming to Disneyland Paris from 30^th June to 22^nd September this year!

During this season, guests will be able to pounce to the beat of the Pride lands and get their ‘bear necessities’ on in an all-swinging, all-dancing habitat, with new shows and immersive experiences bringing the beloved Lion King and Jungle Book to life! You might even find Baloo, King Louie, Timon & Rafiki roaming about!

New for the season is The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands stage show, where guests should ‘be prepared’ to relive iconic moments from Disney’s The Lion King like never before. Guests will find themselves immersed in a brand new, world-exclusive stage show as singers, dancers and acrobats alongside the iconic characters bring Pride Rock anthems to life! This show will be performed in the newly renovated Chappelle Theatre in Disneyland Parc!

That’s not all, guests will be able to venture deep into the jungle and embark on a colourful journey through the Indian jungle in a new musical extravaganza, ‘King of Swingers’, based upon The Jungle Book. This new musical show will be a twist on the classic Disney tale. Guests will join Baloo, King Louie and friends for a jungle jingle and help explorer Mickey and his crew navigate through this mysterious land!

During this season, guests will be invited to bounce to the beats of an Africa-inspired village with pulsating drumbeats in this interactive musical moment. Guests will have a chance to learn how to play the traditional African Djembe drum with the Djembe Academy!

After that head over to Adventureland and join Timon, Pumba and some party performers to learn how to “MataDance”. Learn how to stop while following the ‘Hakuna Matata’ philosophy with your favourite duo.

Guests will also find famous faces from The Lion King and Jungle Book roaming around Disneyland Parc. Creating the chance to spend some magic moments with your beloved Disney Characters, so why not gain some wisdom for Rafiki or show off your dancing moves to King Louie- the King of Swing!

End the adventure with the jaw-dropping, spectacular Illuminations show as Mickey guides you through many classic Disney tales such as The Lion King, Frozen and Pirates of the Caribbean with fireworks and projections.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom has undergone a few changes and additions in the past couple of years. Notable new experiences like Pandora The World of Avatar and the Rivers of Light nightly show have added even more excitement to the park. One of guests favorite enhancements has been the Tree of Life Awakenings. This projection show happens multiple times each evening and brings the Tree of Life to life using state-of-the-art technology and classic Disney storytelling. Now a new Lion King sequence is being added to the show to celebrate the film’s 25th anniversary.

The Tree of Life Awakenings have wowed guests with beautiful animation and an elegant narrative style. Displaying short scenes telling the story of certain animals on the tree, it’s definitely not to be missed. Beginning Memorial Day and running through September 30th, the show will feature new scenes honoring the classic Disney film. Premiering in 1994, The Lion King is considered one of Disney’s most beloved films. Its success has spawned a Broadway show, sequels, TV shows and soon a new live-action remake. The reimagining of the classic animated tale is set to hit screens on July 19 and has garnered a lot of attention already.

The new Lion King scenes in The Tree of Life Awakenings aren’t the only way to celebrate the film’s birthday. Disney’s Animal Kingdom will also host a new Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party. This new experience is currently available daily on Discovery Island. Guests can join Timon, Pumba, and Rafiki as they party with a live band playing Disney hits with a calypso twist!
