When I was younger, I used to love the Muppets. Even now when I visit Hollywood Studios at Disney World, I always have to see the Muppet show Muppet Vision 3D. It’s great! So when I heard they were remaking the Muppets as babies, I had to see it.
Muppet Babies airs on Disney Junior, so naturally, it is aimed towards the pre-school and kindergarten age group. So all of the characters, Kermit, Miss Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo, Animal, and a new character, Summer Penguin, are all pre-school age ‘babies’ in daycare. In the movie, the daycare is run by Miss Nanny. Each of the episodes, the Muppet youngsters are using their imaginations and going on adventures. The episodes teach a valuable lesson, much like all the Disney shows do. But if parents are watching too, keep an ear out for some grown-up references, like a rolling boulder from Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark. The characters’ voice will sound similar to their older counterpart, but will not sound the exact same.
