Guide to PhotoPass Service for The Disney Princess Half Marathon

The Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend at Walt Disney World is right around the corner and participants are gearing up for a weekend of races and fun. A great way for runners and their families to remember the special event is with the Disney PhotoPass Service. The service provides Disney photographers throughout race events to capture all of the guests important moments that are then linked to their Memory Maker account. Let’s take a look at how participants can utilize the service for this year’s half marathon weekend.

Runners can start off the event with unique pre-race photo opportunities at the runDisney Health and Fitness Expo. The expo will be held in the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and will include a Disney PhotoPass booth with information on the Memory Maker service. It will also serve as the location for runner bib pick-up and official race merchandise.

During the race, photographers will be located along the course and at the finish line. If you’re hoping to get snaps of your best side or that great Disney outfit you worked so hard on, be sure to look for the bright green hats all photographers will be wearing. Also, make sure to have your bib number clearly visible to help link photos correctly. After the race, runners can get even more magical shots in the Family Reunion Area. This section is where runners meet up with their families and supporters to celebrate their accomplishment. If you’re planning to hit the parks after the run, bring your medal with you as photographers throughout all four parks will be on hand to capture your special achievement at the most magical place on earth!

To access race photos, guests will need to have purchased the Memory Maker service. This allows guests to view and download all of the Disney PhotoPass photos on the My Disney Experience app within 48 hours of the event. For race photos, enter the 11-digit RaceID, then your 5-digit bib number. For bib numbers with less than 5 digits add zeros at the beginning of your bib number to complete the 16-digit code. See below for Race IDs (replace the x’s with your bib number).

Could The Jonas Brothers Be Plotting A Reunion? The band of brothers parted ways abruptly in 2013, much to the shock of fans from around the world. There are reports that the famed trio have been working secretly on a reunion in the near future.

The Jonas Brothers formed in 2005 and their careers gained momentum after appearing on Disney Channel and touring with several big names at the time such as Jump5, Backstreet Boys, Kelly Clarkson, and Jesse McCartney. They also toured with Disney-affiliated groups Aly & AJ and The Cheetah Girls. Despite the image both parties attempted to keep, the relationship between The Jonas Brothers and Disney was back and forth. After years of filming music videos, recording albums, appearance on Disney related channels and shows, filming of a 3-D Documentary, filming both Camp Rock Disney Channel Original Movies, and a tv show of their own, the decision was made for both parties to ultimately part ways and move on in different directions.

As a band, The Jonas Brothers, have only released an official 4 Albums, but with the inclusion of their television show album and the album of live recordings from their documentary, they have 6 Albums currently under their belt and have worked on a total of 23 Albums either in collaberation, featured performances, singles, or for films. This does not count the work they have done since the band split in 2013 or their solo endevours. The brothers have worked on solo careers, passion projects, and a new band, since the split. Needless to say, they were wildly successful both as a group and as individuals, and have put a lot of boy bands to shame.

The buzz really got started in January 2018 after the brothers reactivated their Instagram account, jonasbrothers, for the first time since 2013. Among the rumor mill is that they may also be working on another documentary about the progression of their career as a band. It was also leaked that if the boys do reunite the band they would drop the “brothers” portion of the name and simply go by the name: “JONAS.” Disney Fans from back in the day may also recognize that was the name of the TV show the boys starred in on Disney Channel. The show went through a drastic transformation from Jonas to Jonas L.A. before parting ways with Disney.

Though they have not made any new posts on the account since the reactivation, reunion rumors have been circulating every few months ever since. The biggest indicator that this time it may be true is that the brothers have been spending more time together than previously recorded and their travels have been fairly underwraps. A recent extended trip to London for all three of the Jonas’s and a ski trip including Nick Jonas, his wife Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Joe Jonas, and his fiancee Sophie Turner, are the main causes for this new wave of momentum for the rumors.

It has also been reported that Nick, in particular, has been liking comments on social media that are related to a possible reunion. Kevin also told UsWeekly in May of 2018 “There are guitars everywhere around all of our houses. Pianos. Guitars. It’s kind of just in our blood. It’s in our nature,” he explained. “It’s not like we’re trying to do anything special, it’s just that we’re hanging out and music is a part of who we are. It always happens.”

Mary Poppins Returns To Be Released On 4K Ultra And Blu-Ray In March

“Mary Poppins Returns” will be making its appearance in stores in a few short weeks. It will be available on Digital 4K Ultra HD^TM and Movies Anywhere on March 12 and on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray^TM, and DVD on March 19. “Mary Poppins Returns” has been nominated for 4 Academy Awards®, including Best Original Song. Both a sing-along version as well as never-before-seen bonus features will be included with the release.

“Mary Poppins Returns” is the sequel based on the Mary Poppins Stories by PL Travers. The movie was directed by Academy Award winner Rob Marshall (Chicago, Nine, Into the Woods). Emily Blunt stars as the practically-perfect nanny Mary Poppins and Lin-Manual Miranda as the charming lamplighter Jack.

“Mary Poppins Returns” into the life of Michael Banks (Ben Whishaw) who met Mary Poppins when he was a child at 17 Cherry Tree Lane. Michael Banks now is grown and raising this own 3 children – Annabel (Pixie Davies), John (Nathanael Saleh), and Georgie (Joel Dawson) with some assistance from his sister Jane (Emily Mortimer). The setting of the story is in Depression-era London which makes for some difficult times. Mary Poppins enters the lives of the Banks Family once again having not aged a single day! Colorful characters, such as Mary’s eccentric Cousin Topsy (Meryl Streep), Jack’s lovable band of leeries and bank executives William Weatherall Wilkins (Colin Firth) and Mr. Dawes Jr. (Dick Van Dyke) are all encountered. Life, love, and laughter are brought back into the home through the whimsical adventures of the Banks children, Mary Poppins and her old friend Jack.

Flower and Garden Festival Debuts Four New Food Booths

The 2019 Flower and Garden Festival runs from March 6th to June 3rd, 2019 in Walt Disney World’s Epcot. The menus have just been released and as per usual, my mouth is already watering!

Old favorites are still around like the frushi from Hanami, but Disney has added four new food booths this year! Arbor at The Gardeners Terrace, Flavor Full Kitchen hosted by AdventHealth, The Citrus Blossom, and Trowel & Trellis Hosted by IMPOSSIBLE™ Foods are new additions to the 2019 festival.

New Floral Minnie Mouse Ears Have Us Dreaming Of Spring

Who else is ready for spring blooms and warm sunshine? If you’re looking to chase away the winter blues, there is a new Minnie Ears headband coming soon, that might help warm things up a little bit. New Floral Minnie Mouse Ears will be making their debut soon, and they’re just what we needed to get ready for spring!

We saw a sneak peek of these beautiful blooming ears at the Disney Spring Merchandise Preview, and were hoping we’d see them around Epcot Flower and Garden Festival time! It looks like our wishes have come true, because it has been announced that these new Minnie ears will be blooming at the Disney Parks soon! These gorgeous new ears are a soft pink, with lots of delicately placed fabric flowers. Shades of pink, peach, and cream blossom into a beautiful bouquet of spring style!

These are a great style of ears for the Flower and Garden Festival, and also for incorporating into DisneyBound looks too! We can except to see these new beauties popping up at Disneyland and Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts very soon! These are just one of the many exciting pairs we have to look forward to this season, there is still the lollipop ears on the horizon. A little birdie may have told me we might even see a pair of Minnie Ears inspired by one of our favorite drinks for the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival too!!

D-Lish Pop-Up Event Coming to Disney Springs

Disney released a new merchandise line the Disney D-Lish Collection, earlier this year. The collection is a celebration of Disney food and features items inspired by guests’ favorite treats and snacks from the parks. Now a special pop-up event featuring the new line is coming to Disney Springs this week!

The new Disney D-Lish line made a splash when items from the lively collection started appearing on park shelves last month. Combining iconic Disney snacks and treats with fun phrases has proved to be popular with guests. The new lineup features items like donut Minnie Mouse ears, novelty t-shirts, and Mickey Bar hats and ears.

The D-Lish pop-up event will be available February 21 to 24, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. in Disney Springs near the DisneyStyle store. Guests will be able to purchase items from the new line as well as some Disney snack inspired merchandise in special packaging. There will also be special entertainment, Instagramable photo ops, mini-makeovers by M•A•C Cosmetics and more special “crave-worthy” surprises. The event is only appearing for a short time and will have limited quantities of available items. Most items will still be available in parks and on the ShopDisney site after the pop-up ends. These Disney Springs pop-up events have become quite popular, so be sure to arrive early to beat developing crowds throughout the day and grab your favorite snack-themed item!

Exclusive Events coming to Disneyland Paris!

It is an exciting time ahead for Disneyland Paris guests as they have so many exclusive events to look forward to this year! Exclusive events from music to sports to entertainment, there is a special live event for everyone throughout the year.

The exclusive events span from one to four days and many offer unique and unexpected experiences, always with Disneyland Paris’ magical touch in terms of show and entertainment.

Disneyland Paris will host Magical Pride on the 1st June 2019 to celebrate diversity and inclusion at the Walt Disney Studios Park. Guests will enjoy an exclusive after-hours party from 8 pm to 2 am, including a colourful parade, Disney Character greeting experiences, private access to attractions and special live music performances. Tickets can be purchased here!

During June and July, Disneyland Paris is getting into tune for three exclusive events celebrating many genres of music!

On the 7-8th June 2019, Disneyland Paris’ event ‘Hip-Hop Live Experience‘ will celebrate urban culture at the Walt Disney Studios Park with each night featuring live music including France’s greatest hip-hop artists, workshops, artist performances and other magical Disney entertainment such as Characters and attractions.

On Saturday, 15 June 2019, Disney Loves Jazz returns to Walt Disney Studios Park to once again showcase the beloved music genre with the world of Disney. From 8 pm. to 2 am, the evening will feature internationally-renowned artists who will perform great Disney classics on the big stage of Moteurs… Actions! Stunt Show Spectacular. Guests will also enjoy private access to attractions and Disney Characters.

On July 5-7, guests will enter the jungle for the third annual Electroland music festival that will celebrate a mix of music and magic over three incredible nights at Walt Disney Studios Park. This year’s edition promises world-famous DJs hosting unforgettable shows on an open-air stage with spectacular projections on Hollywood Tower Hotel – and of course, access to favourite attractions!

In September, Disneyland Paris will be organising two sport and well-being events:

On 6 and 7 September 2019, guests will experience a weekend of health, happiness and yoga in the magical setting of Walt Disney Studios Park for the first Disneyland Paris wellness weekend.

On 19-22 September 2019, the fourth edition of Disneyland Paris Run Weekend will give running enthusiasts, both young and old, the opportunity to explore Disney® Parks together with Disney Characters in unforgettable races in a unique setting. Discovery Cove Is Now A Certified Autism Center

Sea World announced today that its Day Resort park Discovery Cove is now a Certified Autism Center. The certification was awarded after completing staff-wide autism sensitivity and awareness training conducted by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES). This now makes it the first all-inclusive day resort and animal interaction park in the US to receive the certification.

Discovery Cove joins its “sister” parks under the Sea World Entertainment umbrella, Sesame Place and Aquatica Orlando, who were also recently certified.

Discovery Cove is a place where guests can enjoy swimming with dolphins, snorkeling with tropical fish, and other unique animal interactions. All while relaxing in a tropical setting of white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. Guests enjoy freshly prepared meals, snacks, and beverages throughout the day, and swim and snorkel gear are all included. In addition to all of that, guests enjoy admission to SeaWorld Orlando and Aquatica water park.

The certification ensures their staff has the knowledge, skills, and expertise to interact with families of children with special needs. Autism training takes place every two years in order to maintain certification. Another addition to the park is the Quiet Space, where guests in need of quiet time and relief from sensory stimulation can rest.

Chairman of IBBCS, Myron Pincomb noted:

“We’re thrilled to see the commitment and enthusiasm of the team at Discovery Cove and its sister parks in serving guests on the spectrum and with sensory sensitivities. Certification and review are so important to ensure all guests feel welcomed and safe in these environments. Gwyneth Paltrow Has Stepped Away From Role As Pepper Potts

Gwyneth Paltrow Has Stepped Away From Role As Pepper Potts. Since 2008 Gwyneth Paltrow has been portraying the iconic role of Pepper Potts, who has gone through an inspiring transformation from personal assistant, to CEO of Stark Industries, and even finding love along the way. Her role has primarily been showcased in the Iron Man and Avengers portions of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), and the inclusion of a pop up at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Paltrow was one of the first actors to be brought aboard this wildly sucessful franchise and has been through the thick and thin of the over decade long journey that Marvel Studios has gone through. Though the studio itself has no plans on slowing down, Gwyneth claims her time as the famed right hand of Tony Stark, well besides Jarvis and Friday, has come to an end cinematically.

“I’m a bit old to be in a suit and all that at this point,” said Paltrow, who is currently 46 years old. “I feel very lucky that I did it, because I actually got talked into it. I was friends with [Iron Man filmmaker and Happy in the MCU] Jon Favreau. It was such a wonderful experience making the first Iron Man and then to watch how important it has become to fans.”

When asked by EW if she would be continuing her role as Pepper Potts, Paltrow claimed that she will no longer play Pepper in a significant role for the MCU, but she would not give up on the role entirely. Does this mean Ms. Potts may not survive the outcome of both Avengers: Infinity War and/or Avengers: Endgame? Or will she and Tony get to live “Happily Ever After?” Will her character live on off screen? Only time will tell. However, Gwyneth said she would be willing to appear in smaller appearances if needed.

“I feel honored to be a part of something that people are so passionate about,” said Paltrow. “Of course, if they said, ‘Can you come back for a day?,’ I will always be there if they need me.”

Though the ending of Avengers: Infinity War was heartbreaking to say the least, we have no doubt that Avengers: Endgame will be just as emotional, if not more so, for the fans of the superhero franchise. With the announcement of so many critical stars saying their good-bye’s to the roles they have known for nearly a decade, including Captain America himself, Chris Evans, it is bound to be a story worth telling and we can not wait to see the outcome.

Disney+ Series “Loki” Lands Rick and Morty Writer. Michael Waldron has been named the first writer, creator, and producer for the Marvel Series about our favorite god of mischief, Loki.

Waldron has been tasked to pen the shows pilot episode and will be acting as an executive producer and show creator for the series. Loki will be one of the first exclusive series coming to Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+.

Michael Waldron is from Atlanta, a major hub for film and television, particularly for Marvel content. He is best known for his work on Rick and Morty (Cartoon Network), Heels (Starz), Florida Man (Paramount), and The Worst Guy of All Time (and the Girl Who Came to Kill Him) (Quibi).

Tom Hiddleston will be reprising his role as the Asgardian Prince and god of mischief, Loki Odinson. Hiddleston has been potraying Thor’s brother, Loki, since the release of Thor in 2011. Loki will be one of several Marvel based shows coming to Disney+.

Disney PhotoPass Photographers Help This Groom to Be Create a Magical Proposal

Disney is a place where magic is made every single day for those young and old. It is one of the most popular places to get engaged as well! What Disney fan hasn’t dreamt of being proposed to on the steps of Cinderellas Castle. Earlier this month Disneys PhotoPass photographer team, Disney’s Customer Experience Team, and the help of family and friends Dave created a surprise proposal at Magic Kingdom for his girlfriend Kristy.

Here their love story here as written by Dave himself:

“Kristy and I met through mutual friends and have been together since October 2016. We have always been spontaneous and taken trips on a whim since our schedules work out great together. She’s a weekend Surgical Intensive Care nurse and I am a fireman so we have a good bit of time off together. We’ve been pass holders for an almost a year when this trip happened. We live about 5 hours away in a small town in Georgia. We’ve taken as many trips as we could squeeze in and afford while being pass holders. They expired a week ago and were not renewing for a few years.

Kristy had a girls trip planned for the week on February 3rd until 7th. On February 1st I texted her sister in law and asked if it would be frowned upon if I crashed their girls trip. Her response was “absolutely unless you propose”. I replied with “well that was the plan”. I immediately got a phone call from her ecstatic and wanting to help plan it. Her mom also text me and wanted in on the planning and asking how I was going to do it. Her other sis in law was made aware of the situation and she was also all for it. I had eye surgery the week before(LASIK) and Kristy had absolutely no idea I was planning on coming. She thought I was unable to make the drive even if I wanted.

Well, the morning I drove down, I stayed in contact with her and made sure she didn’t suspect anything. She had absolutely no clue. I had to get a room under a separate email address and credit card (All-Star movies) so it wouldn’t show up in the Disney App she also uses. They stayed at the Pop Century resort. I arrive at the resort around 1:15 pm and checked in. I dropped my luggage off and made my way to Magic Kingdom. I stayed in constant contact with her mom to let her know where I wanted to do it and around about what time I would be there. After driving to the park, taking the monorail and tram to the park, I let her mom know and they were in the fast pass line for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train so I had to hurry and get something set up. I didn’t preplan anything with Disney and figured I could get it worked out when I got there. I walked to the customer experience team on Main street. I talked to Brandon there and told him what I was wanting to do and asked if a PhotoPass photographer was on the side of the castle so I could catch them walking back from Mine Train and surprise her and have pictures taken. He started making phone calls and said the photographer that’s usually there wasn’t and won’t be for a little while. At that time another CM walked up, Tony, and asked what was going on and we talked about it for a minute and Brandon made another phone call. He explained to someone on the phone what was going on and about 2 minutes later Giovanni, a PhotoPass photographer walked up and asked what and where I wanted to do it. I was told id have him for the next 20 minutes to myself. I told Kristy’s Mom to call me to set up the spot. She went into a bathroom and called me and I explained to her to go to Main Street and what the PhotoPass photographer looked like so she could find him. Afterward, I was told she had a hard time convincing Kristy(the only Passholder, and only one whos been so much they call her the “tour guide”) why they needed to go to Main Street. She used the excuse to go shopping after the Starbucks excuse failed.

During this time, Brandon left and got a pair of wedding Mickey ears from the nearby emporium store. I showed Giovanni a picture that was on my app from earlier in the day of my girlfriend and her family so he knew what they looked like. He then took position next to one of the gardens on main street and got the right angles and lighting read for the best pictures. I then hid behind one of the concrete post in the garden. Giovanni started looking for Kristy and her family and once he spotted them, he approached them and suggested taking some pictures. He then took some and kept moving them closer to the garden to take more. Tony then stood close by and let me know when the girls were there taking pictures. After they took a few pictures I ran up and grabbed her arm. The video and pictures shows what happened next. After the photographer took a ton of pictures, Brandon came up to give Kristy her wedding ears. Tony also gave us a certificate to get the ears embroidered for free. Everyone was so excited and happy. I gave each and every cast member that was involved a hug and thanked them over and over for making this a possibility. It was such an amazing time. At this time, an older cast member walks up, talks to us, takes a picture with his cell phone and give us fastpasses for the entire party for any attraction at any time. The whole experience was magical and awesome and I feel they all went above and beyond to make this happen. Kristy was so excited and surprised. She had absolutely no idea I was there.”

Dining at Disneyland’s 21 Royal is a $15,000 Experience

Just above Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland is a dining experience like no other. Tucked away in New Orleans Square there is a staircase leading to a location that is so exclusive very few people know it is an option. Until January 2017 the dining experience at 21 Royal was reserved for the members of Club 33, but now you can have your chance to dine in incredible style. The dining location, aptly named for its location at 21 Royal Street was planned to be the in-park living quarters for Walt and Lillian Disney, but following Walt’s death in 1966 the project was stopped then finally finished in 2008 as the Disneyland Dream Suite. Just under 50 years later, in 2014, an announcement was made the venue would host an upscale dining experience.

In what can only be described as a signature and luxurious experience from the moment guests are picked up by private minibus at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel to the very end where they are either escorted back to the hotel or leave on their own accord to spend time in the theme park. However, an experience of this nature will cost you. The price tag for this luxury is $15,000 for the evening. Hosts may invite up to 11 guests for a total of 12 in the dining room.

So what exactly does a $15,000 dinner encompass? When guests call Disneyland directly to book the 21 Royal private dinner experience it is personalized from the start where a date is agreed upon between the guest and the resort. The guest and chef will then meet to craft a customized menu.

When the event day arrives guests are greeted by butlers offering craft cocktails and appetizers. After time is allowed to enjoy the pre-dinner festivities and a brief history lesson of 21 Royal the guests move to the dining room for the meal. While dining, wine stewards, chefs, and the wait staff will entertain with their stories.

The meal itself is eaten off plates that are gold-plated with the 21 logo. Crystal goblets adorn the table set with linen table cloths. Each course may be accompanied by perfectly paired wines if the guest chooses. The food is prepared by phenomenal Disney chefs with gourmet chef, Andrew Sutton keeping an eye on the experience from beginning to end.

When the five-hour dinner comes to a close the guests are offered coffee and after-dinner drinks which they may enjoy on the balcony. For an added treat, on nights when Fantasmic! is running guests have the opportunity to enjoy the show from this unique and spectacular viewing place.

So if you please, gather your friends for this exclusive dining experience. Broken down to 12 people the cost is really only $1,250 each, or if you are feeling very generous you can foot the $15,000 bill for this incredible dining experience at 21 Royal in the Disneyland Dream Suite.
