If you love both wine and Disney this is the weekend for you! The Disney Family of Wines Weekend is the ultimate weekend getaway for those interested in learning more about the wines that have a special connection to Disney. The Friday through Sunday event includes three days and two nights at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Guests attending the weekend will experience workshops, lunches, a gala dinner, as well as the opening and closing receptions. Over 30 wines are expected to be presented over the weekend during this phenomenal culinary experience. Four workshops will be conducted, two are planned for Saturday and two on Sunday. Accommodations include double occupancy rooms in the Main Tower of the resort. The weekend is only for those 21 and older and must be booked by May 3, 2019. The event does not include theme park admission which is not required to attend the weekend.

Disney-themed ice cream cones with character are becoming extremely popular at Disney’s Magic Kingdom. A few menus have added new additions. Let’s take a look!
Head to Storybook Treats in Fantasyland for “The Lost Princess Cone” and a “Peter Pan Float.” There use to be “Tink’s Pixie-Dusted Cone,” but it’s missing on the menu. Maybe Rapunzel and Flynn demanded a cone with character in her honor. “The Lost Princess Cone” is $5.29. I can’t wait to see (er, taste) this one!
Also new in Tomorrowland at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies is the “Adventure Is Out There Cone.” This cone is inspired by the film Up! Grab this cone for $5.29 plus tax.
In addition to these two cones, the “Hei Hei Cone” is headed to Aloha Isle (where you can also purchase the famous Dole Whip) on February 24th. There is no definitive date for either “The Lost Princess Cone” or the “Adventure Is Out There Cone,” but I presume they’ll be dropping in soon along with the “Hei Hei Cone!” Which cone for character will be your favorite?

Earlier, it was announced Oga’s Cantina at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland will serve alcoholic beverages. The cantina, run by Oga Garra, an enterprising alien will serve a unique menu catering to both children and adults. While the rules may be different in a galaxy far, far away, consuming alcohol while walking around Disneyland Park has always been a no-no. It looks like this policy will continue, at least for the time being. In answer to a question asked on Twitter, Disneyland AP has confirmed what many have wondered. Any alcoholic beverages purchased from Oga’s Cantina will need to be enjoyed prior to leaving the establishment.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is expected to offer a very authentic experience. From construction photos, and with all the details released so far we can see that visitors will really feel like they have been transported to Batuu. Oga’s is known in the Star Wars films as the place to go to avoid the authorities. The people who gather in the establishment may be on the up and up, or perhaps not. Regardless of one’s intentions or business, each visitor is held to the code of conduct Oga has instituted. The cast of characters visiting the Cantina will certainly have some stories to tell.
Visitors taking a pit stop from their exportation of Batuu will be able to enjoy beverages concocted from exotic or perhaps unusual ingredients. Surely while sipping on their drinks guests will want to linger and enjoy the entertainment. Music will be provided by RX-24 the cantina’s DJ.
So whether you are coming to Oga’s to check out the music, sights, evade the authorities, or participate in shady business deals plan to take the time to enjoy those adult beverages while you soak in the atmosphere of Oga’s.

It’s almost time to gear up and run like a princess! The 2019 Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend starts tomorrow, and there’s lots of fabulous Disney Princess inspired merchandise to commemorate with. This year the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend Merchandise is full of some enchanting surprises too!
Today Disney revealed a sneak peek of some of the offerings that will be available beginning Thursday at the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo. This year’s collection is a dream come true with an array of active wear, collectibles, accessories and more.
Runners taking part in the race events will find a variety of logo performance apparel and the ever popular “I Did It!” products including shirts in multiple styles and jackets.
A variety of glassware, including TERVIS tumblers will also be available featuring the weekend logo and races.
One of the first surprises, is a pair of new Minnie Ears created specifically for the Disney Half Marathon weekend! These gorgeous ears feature silhouettes of the Disney Princesses in action, with a big sparkling silver bow!
Other weekend products include collectible items such as figurines, car magnets and limited-edition pins.
The other enchanting surprise is the new Pandora Disney Princess Half Marathon Set! The set includes a castle dangle charm and bracelet.
Three Disney Princess-inspired Dooney & Bourke bags will also be available. These have become a popular runDisney staple with races. The some of the bag styles will also feature a specially designed leather hangtag that has the race name and date.
Even the young princess runners will find special merchandise to celebrate the weekend with. Matching mommy and me “My Favorite Disney Princess” shirts will be available in adult and youth styles. The young princes and princesses running this weekend can also commemorate their royal finish at the runDisney Kids Races with a specially designed ear hat.

Will you be racing to the finish line like a princess this weekend?
A giant new 270-acre, 50-megawatt solar facility is up and running to provide renewable clean energy to Walt Disney World! Built in collaboration with Reedy Creek Improvement District and Origis Energy USA, this is huge news for the Sunshine State.
This facility is expected to produce enough solar power to operate two out of the four theme parks in Central Florida per year. It will also play a part in The Walt Disney Company’s 2020 goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 50% since 2012.

This project is a huge leap forward in Disney’s efforts to reduce emissions and definitely something worth celebrating. This is the second of two large solar facilities in Walt Disney World – the first was opened in 2016 and is a 22-acre, 5-megawatt facility shaped like Mickey Mouse.

The 2019 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival is beginning next week and today we got a sneak peek at the merchandise they will be seeing for the festival! Beginning March 1 and extending to eight weeks, the Food and Wine Festival at Disney’s California Adventure is a treat for those of all ages. This weekend we visited the Bandai booth at the NY Toy Fair and learned all about the new products coming to market this year! The products are very cool and so different from what we saw all over the fair. First up is Baymax and Big Hero 6!

My family has been eagerly awaiting the home release of the new Wreck it Ralph adventure, since we saw the first trailer! So when it was finally time to have a Ralph Breaks the Internet movie day, we were excited to celebrate with a Sugar Rush inspired spread to celebrate!
Ralph Breaks the Internet is already available on Digital and Movies Anywhere, and will be available to bring home on Blu-Ray February 26th!
We decided to whip up some Wreck it Ralph/Sugar Rush recipes, with a little bit of inspiration from our family’s favorite clip! You may have guessed our favorite clip already, which is the Pancake Milkshake game clip! We couldn’t make ordinary pancakes and milkshakes for Ralph and Vanellope, because they simply aren’t ordinary characters!
After we got into our Ralph Breaks the Internet Chef hat and apron, it was time to set up for a family fun day of sweet treats, and hands on baking and cooking, with the movie as our finale. We always like to get all of our kitchen tools set up before we start, and decided to put up pics of Ralph and Vanellope for inspiration.
We chose to make Torvald Batterbutter Extra Fluffy Pancakes, Snowanna Rainbeau Crazy Shakes, and Sugar Rush Cookies.
For the milkshakes we decided we wanted to make our own ice cream, in fun colors inspired by the world of Sugar Rush! We decided on blue and pink, so that we could layer the shakes, and get a little purple mixed in too! We started our ice cream first, but let it set while we made all of our other treats. Then we constructed out milkshakes after everything else was finished.
Torvald Batterbutter Extra Fluffy Pancakes
We wanted to make extra special pancakes for our Sugar Rush inspired treats! I’ve always loved the idea of the big fluffy pancakes served in Japan, and thought this would be the perfect opportunity to try them out! These pancakes come out thick, and jiggly and were truly a treat!
You will need:
Tools
Mixing Bowl
Spatulas
Mixer or Whisk
Measuring Utensils
Ring Molds or Deep Cookie Cutters
Pan with Lid (that will fit the ring molds!)
Ingredients
2 egg yolks
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup milk
1 cup complete pancake mix
4 egg whites
Mix the egg yolks, sugar, milk, and complete pancake mix together, until you have a smooth batter. Set that aside, and mix the egg whites with a mixer until you get stiff peaks, to make a meringue mixture. Gently gold the egg whites into the mixture, but be sure not to over mix and deflate the batter. Once you’re ready spray your pan with a non stick spray, and heat to a medium temperature. Place the ring mold in the pan, and fill half way with the batter. Allow to cook for 10 minutes, the mixture should rise up. Flip, and cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from the pan, and ring mold, repeat! If you can fit more than one mold comfortable in your pan, feel free to make more than one at a time! We used tulip shapes molds for a whimsical shape!
Once your pancakes are ready top them with syrup, icing, fruit, anything your heart desires! We used purple icing that matched our milkshake, fresh whipped cream, and butter.
For the sugar cookies we used a basic recipe we love from Alton Brown.
These are easy to make, and come out delicious! We mostly wanted these to decorate our milkshakes with!
Snowanna Rainbeau Crazy Shakes
These milkshakes took a few steps, because we made everything from scratch. Here’s what we’ll be making, ice cream, icing, and whipped cream. We also got sprinkles, and candies to add on for decoration!
Homemade ice cream–
You will need:
Tools
Large zip top plastic bags
Measuring Cups
Medium zip top plastic bags
10 Cups of ice
Rock Salt preferred, but any large cut salt will do.
Ingredients
2 cups whole milk
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
Food coloring – as desired
To make the ice cream base Stir the milk, sugar and vanilla together in a medium bowl. You can separate the mixture into 2 different medium bags, and add your chosen colors. Zip them up tight! Now place ice, and salt to the larger bag, and place the medium bag inside. Now comes the fun part…
SHAKE THAT BAG!
We went outside to shake ours to avoid any messes. You’ll want to shake the bag for a good 5 minutes, if it’s too cold for your hands wrap it up in a towel while you shake.
Place the bags in the freezer once you have the desired consistency, and it’s time to make more magic!
Decorative Icing:
You will need:
Tools
A Chilled bowl
Hand, or Stand Mixer, or Whisk
Measuring Cup and Spoons
Ingredients
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
Food Coloring
Place your powdered sugar into the chilled bowl. Then mix milk, 1 tablespoon at a time until it has the desired consistency. Mix in your desired food coloring! The icing will thicken as it sets.
Set aside your icing, and get ready to make that whipped cream!

Ingredients
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons sugar
Whipped cream from scratch is surprisingly easy! You’ll want to make sure your bowl and utensils are chilled in the freezer for at least 15 minutes. First place your sugar into the mixing bowl and pour in the whipping cream. Whisk or mix until you get soft fluffy peaks!
We rimmed mason jars in our icing and colorful sprinkles, and placed them in the freezer while we made the pancakes and cookies.
After the icing on our glasses were set, we began to construct our milkshakes! We added our pink ice cream first, then a layer or white, followed by a layer of blue to get a fun pastel rainbow look. After that we topped with PLENTY of whipped cream and added in our decorations. We opted for a Giant lollipop, a heart shaped sugar cookie, a chocolate heart, an extra large gummy lifesaver, and sprinkles. You can really choose any fun candies or sweets for this, it’s all about having fun and being creative!
Here was our best looking shake:
We used some gold glitter reusable straws for a little bit of pixie dust!
The inspiration for the hearts came from this Vanellope emoji picture! Isn’t she just the cutest little racer ever?
Once we were done it was time to enjoy! We even played a couple rounds of Pancake Milkshake before the movie for a few giggles.

“Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular” Dessert Party at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
After your day at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, enjoy the perfect viewing of Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular in an exclusive viewing area. If you’re looking for something to do on your day off from the parks, Splitsville Luxury Lanes at Disney Springs not only has a great family fun atmosphere but also added new delicious food choices to its menu.
Located on the West Side of Disney Springs, the retro bowling alley boasts more than 50,000 square feet of live music, billiards, and 30 bowling lanes. Once you’ve worked up an appetite from bowling, try one of the new amazing meals just added to the menu.
First up, if you’re a sushi fan, try the Galaxy Roll. Priced at $20.00, the roll is loaded with ahi tuna, seared in kimchee ponzu, spicy krab mix, avocado, and cream cheese and is rolled in soy paper. Topping the roll is a spicy shrimp mix, eel sauce, and finished off with sesame seeds and scallions.
Splitsville also released a Veggie Sushi. The specific ingredients have not been posted yet. As soon as we find out what’s in the yummy roll, we will fill you in. If you’ve had a chance to try it already, what’s in it and did you like it?
Next, if you’ve arrived at Splitsville and you’re extra hungry, order the Smothered Chicken! This mouthwatering entrée comes with blackened chicken loaded with creamed spinach, chopped bacon, sautéed mushrooms, and melted Colby Jack cheese. This tasty meal is served over mashed potatoes and comes with a side of veggies. This meal is priced at $26.00. If that’s not enough to satisfy your hunger, add beef tenderloin for an extra $7.00.
Last up on the menu of new items just released is the Big Fish Sandwich. If you’re in the mood for some seafood, this sandwich is your ticket to a great meal. This crispy tempura-fried fish comes topped with remoulade sauce, coleslaw, and fresh tomato slices. Hand cut French fries are served on the side. This delicious sandwich will cost you $19.00.
Full-service dining is available at Splitsville Luxury Lanes, and the Disney Dining Plan can be used as well. You can certainly eat at the restaurant without bowling. Reservations are recommended. If you are looking to bowl and eat, bowling is a separate reservation, but your food can be brought to your lanes.

Donald Duck’s Seaside Brunch is coming to the PCH Grill in Disneyland’s Paradise Pier Hotel!
Beginning March 29, 2019, guests can hang out with Donald and the gang while enjoying a delicious feast of brunch delights.
Guests are invited to join Donald and his closest friends on a culinary escapade every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This all-you-care-to-enjoy weekend brunch buffet includes popular lunch specials along with the favorite breakfast items like Mickey-shaped waffles, eggs, and bacon.
