Terror at The Inn – The Mummy’s Curse

TERROR AT THE INN- THE MUMMY'S CURSE

TERROR AT THE INN- THE MUMMY'S CURSE

The Terror at The Inn – The Mummy’s Curse at the Holiday Inn Orlando Suites and Waterpark is terrifyingly terrific! I am not ashamed to admit that I screamed at the top of my lungs the entire night (total scaredy-cat) as I enjoyed the first annual Terror at The Inn – The Mummy’s Curse and Panic House 4D Experience.

Hideaway Lounge

To garner up the courage to face The Terror at The Inn – The Mummy’s Curse, Hideaway Lounge hosted a graveyard full of goodies from fresh dirt and worms to devilish drinks.  My friend Ana and I were very thankful for that liquid courage as we do NOT do anything scary LOL!

Terror at The Inn – The Mummy’s Curse Haunted House

A long-lost Egyptian Crypt has been unearthed. Join the expedition to bring an ancient world of gods and monsters back to life, and try to find the missing Dr. Gunter. Ana and I barely survived the mummy’s curse that is all I have to say!  As soon as we entered the crypt, we started screaming. At one point I was yelling “serpentine pattern serpentine pattern” as we were trying to get out of one passage.  Then, Ana was yelling at one corner (where we knew a mummy was hiding) “Don’t you jump out at me, I know you’re there! Don’t you do it!”  Well, of course, the mummy did and scared the living daylights out of us LOL!  We were pretty sure the whole hotel could hear us.

PRICING

  •  $24.95 per person (plus tax) and includes single admission to The Mummy’s Curse and 4D Experience Theater Movie…“Panic House”

Panic House 4D Experience

Included with your ticket to “The Mummy’s Curse” attraction is admission to Panic House 4-D at the 4D Experience Theater.  We put on the 3-D glasses as a beautiful Victorian house turned into a zombie-filled nightmare.  It is similar to It’s Tough to Be a Bug at Animal Kingdom, with interactive seats that really bring the screen to life.  Just remember escape, or be imprisoned forever! You have been warned.

Overall Thoughts

TERROR AT THE INN- THE MUMMY'S CURSE

This Halloween season, bring the family and visit Orlando’s newest haunted attraction: Terror at the Inn – The Mummy’s Curse and Panic House 4D Experience.  Even if you are scaredy-cat like me, head over to the Holiday Inn Orlando Suites and Waterpark for a fright-filled evening of fun.  Will you overcome the fear to survive the Terror at the Inn – The Mummy’s Curse? PhotoPass makes the most of Guests’ memories at EPCOT this fall

remi photopass edit

EPCOT’s International Food and Wine Festival has been going strong since August 30. And Disney has the perfect thing to make your memories last long after the festivities are over–Disney’s PhotoPass.

photopass logo

Disney’s PhotoPass system allows you and your family to enjoy the parks without the worry of missing that perfect shot. PhotoPass photographers are stationed throughout all four theme parks, where they can take photos of you enjoying yourself at Disney World. The service is free and available 365 days a year at Disney World.

But during EPCOT’s International Food and Wine Festival this year, PhotoPass has added some new ways of making lasting digital memories.

You can have Remi from Disney/PIXAR’s Ratatouille digitally superimposed onto your photos. The special effect makes it look as those you are holding Remi in your hands.

At this year’s festival, you will also find PhotoPass photographers stationed all around the World Showcase at EPCOT. They are taking “World Traveler Magic Shots.” Each World Traveler shot is country-specific. There are shots for each of the 11 countries on the World Showcase–Mexico, Norway, Germany, China, Italy, Japan, Morocco, the American Adventure, the United Kingdom, Canada and France.

Near the Fountain of Nations (the fountains that dance to music behind Spaceship Earth), you’ll find PhotoPass photographers with giant frame props that you can use to capture the magic of the festival.

The usual PhotoPass opportunities are still available, such as onboard photos at Test Track, Frozen Ever After and at select character encounter locations.

mm

If you want to make the very most of your PhotoPass photos, Memory Maker is for you! Disney’s Memory Maker is a fabulous digital package that allows you unlimited digital downloads of all your PhotoPass photos taken and linked to your Disney account. You can purchase Memory Maker online or via the My Disney Experience app. The one-day Memory Maker option is $69 and gives you unlimited downloads of photos taken on a specific date that you choose.

If you’re enjoying the International Food and Wine Festival as part of a longer visit to the parks, you can purchase the Memory Maker package that allows you unlimited digital downloads of all the photos from your visit to the parks.

Old Port Royale To Reopen at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort

Old Port Royale

Old Port Royale at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort will finally reopen on October 8, 2018! The resorts central area closed for a lengthy refurbishment last year to totally reimagine the area.

When it reopens Old Port Royal will tout a newly reimagined quick-service restaurant “Centertown Market”. In keeping with the feel of the rest of the area, Centertown Market will be an enclosed space with a modern open market feel.  The quick-service spot will also have some grab and go items available for those in a hurry.

Centertown Markey

Sebastian’s Bistro, an all-new table service restaurant that will take the place of Shutters will also open on October 8.

New shopping areas and the Banana Cabana Bar will also make their debut.

shopping area in Old Port Royal

Good news for those arriving via the Magic Express! When the area reopens,  the Magic Express drop off/ pick up as well as the drop off/pick up for Disney Cruise line will move from its current location to Old Port Royal putting you right in the middle of the fun!

During construction, several grab and go food spots were opened throughout the resort. There seems to be no plan to close those when Old Port Royale reopens. This is exciting as these additions make it much easier to grab a quick snack whenever hunger happens to strike no matter where your room is located.

New name changes will also take place. After the shopping and dining hub reopens, Trinidad North will become Barbados, Trinidad South will simply be known as Trinidad.

With a majority of construction wrapping up those looking forward to a stay here can once again enjoy the laid back natural beauty of this fantastic resort. Though most of the construction in the guest areas will be done, construction on the  Skyliner and the brand new DVC resort Rivera will be ongoing. It is possible guests will see and hear construction from these projects well into 2019.

Mackenzie Foy from Disney’s The Nutcracker and the Four Realms Surprises Fans

Mackenzie Foy Visits Disneyland Resort

Mackenzie Foy, who plays Clara in the upcoming fantasy adventure “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms,” surprised guests at Disney California Adventure’s Sunset Showcase Theater in Hollywood Land on Thursday Oct 4, after they caught a sneak peek of footage from Disney’s 2018 holiday film.

For a limited time starting Friday, Oct. 5, guests visiting Disney Parks will be able to preview footage from the movie in sneak peeks planned for Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts. “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms” opens Nov. 2, 2018.

Mackenzie Foy Visits Disneyland Resort

About the movie:

All Clara (Mackenzie Foy) wants is a key – a one-of-a-kind key that will unlock a box that holds a priceless gift. A golden thread, presented to her at godfather Drosselmeyer’s (Morgan Freeman) annual holiday party, leads her to the coveted key—which promptly disappears into a strange and mysterious parallel world. It’s there that Clara encounters a soldier named Phillip (Jayden Fowora-Knight), a gang of mice and the regents who preside over three Realms: Land of Snowflakes, Land of Flowers and Land of Sweets. Clara and Phillip must brave the ominous Fourth Realm, home to the tyrant Mother Ginger (Helen Mirren), to retrieve Clara’s key and hopefully return harmony to the unstable world. Starring Keira Knightley as the Sugar Plum Fairy, Disney’s new holiday feature film “The Nutcracker and the Four Realms” is directed by Lasse Hallström and Joe Johnston, and inspired by E.T.A. Hoffmann’s classic tale.
