Cookies n’ Cream Bread Pudding from Pacific Wharf Café

If you’re like me, you’re always missing the parks when you’re not visiting. I miss the rides, the shows, the attractions, and the carefree feeling of vacation. For a lot of people, it’s the food!  That’s about to change. If you’ve been to Pacific Wharf Café at Disney California Adventure and tried the Cookies n’ Cream Bread Pudding, you know just how delicious it is. What if I told you that you can bring a little Disney into your homes with the recipe to make your own Cookies n’ Cream Bread Pudding?

Perfect to make this weekend, here’s the recipe:

BREAD PUDDING

  • 1 (1 pound) loaf day-old Italian bread
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 4 cups half and half
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 25 chocolate sandwich cookies quartered

TOPPING

  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 12 chocolate sandwich cookies crushed

FOR BREAD PUDDING

  1. Preheat oven to 350 F. Spray 9×13 in baking pan with nonstick cooking spray. Set aside.
  2. Cut bread into one-inch cubes and place in large mixing bowl. Set aside.
  3. Combine eggs, sugar, half and half, and vanilla extract in a medium mixing bowl. Whisk until fluffy. Pour over cubed bread, stirring gently to mix. Set Aside for 15 minutes and allow egg mixture to soak into the bread.
  4. Gently stir in chocolate sandwich cookies.
  5. Pour bread pudding mixture into prepared baking pan and spread out evenly.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes, until top has set, and a thermometer placed in the center reads 165 F.
  7. Cool for 15 minutes.

TO SERVE

  1. Whip heavy whipping cream in the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with whisk attachment until medium peaks form.
  2. Cut bread pudding using Mickey Mouse-shaped cookie cutter and place on a plate. Drizzle with 1-2 teaspoons of sweetened condensed milk.
  3. Top each serving with 2 tablespoons whipped cream and 1 tablespoon of crushed chocolate sandwich cookies.

The UOAP Lounge Will Stay Open Until December 31st

The UOAP Lounge Will Stay Open Until December 31st

The UOAP Lounge Will Stay Open Until December 31st.

Universal Studios Orlando heard your comments and maybe demands to keep the Passholder lounge open in 2019.  The lounge was originally slated to close January 31st. Universal recently decided that the UOAP lounge will stay open until December 31st.

Back in November, Universal opened the Passholder lounge presented by Coca-Cola. Inside you’ll find comfy seating, cool air conditioning, charging stations, UOAP merchandise, and ice-cold beverages.

The UOAP Lounge Will Stay Open Until December 31st

With just a flash of your annual pass, step inside and enjoy a quiet break from the park. A variety of beverages are available to purchase, including the popular Arctic Coke Cooler. The Arctic Coke Cooler crystallizes your 20-ounce soda into an ice-cold slush right before your eyes. This will keep it much colder while you are out in the parks. Free snacks, including small bags of chips and granola bars, are available.

While you’re in the lounge check out the UOAP merchandise. Grab your UOAP car magnet and one of the limited edition monthly Passholder buttons. Feel free to sign the chalkboards on the walls answering one of the fun questions.

If you time your visit to the UOAP lounge just right, you might be in for a treat. Local celebrities like to stop in for a quick visit. Lucy and Marilyn Monroe have stopped by, as well as Betty Boop. The gang from Mystery Inc., including Scooby Doo and Shaggy like to come in and cool off from time to time.

There are cords and connections for all types of mobile devices in the lounge. If your battery is running low, it’s the perfect place to let it charge back up while you cool off and enjoy a snack.

Lounge Details:

  • Dates: Now-December 31st, 2019
  • Times: 11 a, – 4 pm daily
  • Location: Universal Studios Florida on Hollywood Boulevard, near Schwab’s Pharmacy
  • The UOAP lounge is open to Passholders only with limited capacity. *Passholder blockout dates and restrictions apply.

If you’re not a Passholder yet, now’s the time to make that purchase. For a very limited time, guests purchasing an annual pass will receive up to 6 months free!! As a current Passholder, I’m excited the UOAP Lounge will stay open until December 31st. It really is a great way to cool off and rest your legs and feet.

These Mickey Balloon Minnie Ears Are A Must Have Accessory

Mickey Balloon Minnie Ears

These Mickey Balloon Minnie Ears Are A Must Have Accessory

Not too long ago we discovered the most incredible Minnie Mouse Ears on Etsy! The gorgeous Mickey Balloon Minnie Ears stole our hearts quickly, so we just had to see more. The Tiffany Blue and Rose Gold ears aren’t the only ones that the talented designer from HappilyEarverAfter makes, there are several color combinations, and even a pair of light up ones to choose from!

Mickey Balloon Minnie Ears

From Mickey & Minnie Celebration inspired ears, to Pink and Green light up ears, there is something for every Mickey balloon loving Disney Addict! My favorite part of these is how perfectly they have captured the whimsical look of the Mickey Balloon.

I squealed with delight when I noticed the light-up ears on the site. They totally remind me of the flashing balloons sold on Main Street U.S.A. after dark. I absolutely love seeing the flashing balloons float by at fireworks time in the evening, and this is such a great reminder of that. You can actually add the light-up feature to any of the balloon ears for just $10.00.

These Mickey Balloon Minnie Ears Are A Must Have Accessory

I also love the yellow Mickey balloons with the bright blue sequined bow, they remind me of a clear blue spring sky with the sun shining bright. In addition to these, there are also Millennial Pink, Citrus, Rainbow, and Patriotic colors available, check them all out below!

Which of these sensational Mickey Balloon Minnie Ears color combinations is your favorite? I’m still partial to the Tiffany Blue and Rose Gold, but I definitely love them all!

A Look at Every New Attraction and Experience Coming to Epcot by 2021

A Look at Every New Attraction and Experience Coming to Epcot by 2021

There’s a whole lot of change happening at the Walt Disney World Resort and Epcot is getting some major transformations. Let’s take a look at every new attraction and experience coming to Epcot by the year 2021.

A Brand New Entrance

Epcot’s original entrance will not welcome guests with “new pathways, sweeping green spaces, and a newly reimagined fountain.” Disney also shared they will be doing a huge redevelopment between Spaceship Earth and the World Showcase Promenade, but we do not have more details to share yet.

The New Attractions

One of the most anticipated new attractions coming to Epcot in the next few years is “Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure,” in Epcot’s France pavilion in the World Showcase. The ride will be similar to the “Ratatouille” attraction in Walt Disney Studios at Disneyland Paris.

The next attraction being added to Epcot’s Future World, is a “Guardians of the Galaxy” themed indoor roller coaster! This attraction will be one of the largest indoor roller coasters ever and is taking the former location of Ellen’s Energy Adventure. The attraction does not have a formal name yet, but it is among the first of a Marvel-themed attraction on Walt Disney World property.

Both of these are expected to open by/in 2021.

The New Entertainment

A Look at Every New Attraction and Experience Coming to Epcot by 2021

Epcot’s IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth fireworks show is ending in 2019, but two brand new fireworks shows are coming in the next few years to replace it. The first is a limited-time fireworks show called “Epcot Forever,” which will debut later in 2019 as a celebration of the class Epcot theme park. After, in 2020, a new unnamed fireworks spectacular will premiere at Epcot. It will feature amazing floating set pieces on World Showcase Lagoon with custom built LED panels, lights, pyrotechnics, lasers, and choreographed moving fountains.

There are a few new films debuting in Epcot’s Future World and World Showcase as well. In the France pavilion, a new “Beauty and the Beast” sing-along will be rotated with the current “Impressions de France” film. Don Hahn, who produced both the animated and live-action “Beauty and the Beast” films is creating the new film for the France pavilion. Although Disney has not revealed many details yet, new films will be premiering at Epcot’s Canada and China pavilions within the next year-ish.

A Look at Every New Attraction and Experience Coming to Epcot by 2021

Inside The Land pavilion, Disney recently announced a brand-new “Awesome Planet” film coming soon. The film will be “an on-screen exploration of the realm we call home” and will feature “the spectacular beauty, diversity and dynamic story of our earth with all the grandeur guests have come to expect.

The New Restaurants

In the Japan pavilion, a new table-service restaurant is already being constructed. The new restaurant will be operated by Mitsukoshi, who also operates the other restaurants and retail locations in the Japan pavilion.

A Look at Every New Attraction and Experience Coming to Epcot by 2021

New in the France pavilion, will be a new crêperie, near the new “Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure” attraction. The crêperie will be both a table-service and quick-servicing dining location with a menu inspired by the Brittany region of France and serve savory crêpes (galettes) and sweet crêpe. The crêperie is set to open in time for the 50th anniversary celebration of the Walt Disney World Resort in 2021.

A Look at Every New Attraction and Experience Coming to Epcot by 2021

Last, for the moment at least, is a new space-themed restaurant coming to Epcot’s Future World. It will be located adjacent to Mission: SPACE. The experience in the new restaurant will offer guests a unique feel as if they are dining among the stars. The name of the restaurant has not been revealed yet.

The New Experience

Disney announced a new “innovative city” is being built that will be “bursting with interactive experiences, your favorite Disney characters, hands-on activities and engaging entertainment,” called Play Pavilion. It is going to be a completely reimagined “Wonders of Life Pavilion,” which closed in Epcot back in 2007.

To learn more about all of Epcot’s transformations, visit the Experience Center at the Odyssey Events Pavilion, and interact with exhibits that will show the theme park’s newest projects.
