I love taking advantage of the PhotoPass spots all around the parks. I especially love when we get magic shots! Here’s a quick rundown of the PhotoPass Magic Shots at Magic Kingdom.

This Magic Shot with Sebastian is terrific! You can find a PhotoPass photographer stationed near Journey of the Little Mermaid back in Fantasyland.

Look up to the sky, it’s our friend Dumbo! Head over to Storybook Circus and find the photographer near Dumbo the Flying Elephant.

With some faith, trust, and a little bit of pixie dust comes this magical shot with Tinker Bell! Visit the photographers near the entrance to Magic Kingdom and on Main Street, USA for this one.

Looks like Stitch ate our cool treat. You’ll find this photo spot on the bridge leading into Tomorrowland and throughout Tomorrowland.

Pucker up for Prince Naveen! This shot can be found with PhotoPass photographers in Frontierland, Tomorrowland, Adventureland, Liberty Square, and in the Cinderella Castle Hub.

And don’t forget to stop and grab a Magic Shot with the one who started it all. Photographers are located at the entrance to Magic Kingdom, Town Square, and the bridge leading to Fantasyland. Each of these locations may be staffed with PhotoPass photographers intermittently.

Tickets On Sale For Disneyland Pop Up Event

A new event is coming to Downtown Disney at Disneyland park! Pop-Up Disney! A Mickey Celebration is opening at on April 26, 2019. This limited-time experience is filled with all things Mickey Mouse.

There are several immersive rooms where you can explore and play. Each room is filled with selfie surprises, photo ops, and more! Hop into the cartoon “Plane Crazy” where Mickey and Minnie made their first appearance in 1928, or pose inside an 8-foot Mickey balloon! There are more than a dozen hidden Mickeys throughout the exhibit, can you find them all?

This separately ticketed exhibit will be located near the Downtown Disney District Monorail station in the former ESPN Zone. Tickets are on sale now, starting at $30 and includes five hours of parking. Don’t forget to stop by the Pop-Up Disney! shop for collectibles, accessories, and of course a trendy spirit jersey or two. Tickets are on sale now!

Construction at AMC Theater in Disney Springs

As previously announced this January, there are some updates and upgrades coming to the AMC Theater at Disney Springs.

Renovations are being done on the kitchen, individual theaters, bathrooms, and concession areas. However, all aspects will remain open during construction.

The AMC Theater in Disney Springs will be expanding their current number of dine-in theaters to accommodate more guests. With ever-so-popular movies like the live-action “Lion King” and “Toy Story 4” coming soon, there can never be enough room!

One of our Chip & Co. staff took a recent visit to check out what’s happening at the AMC Theater in Disney Springs. Here are a few photos of the current construction:

The main restrooms are currently closed and guests are being redirected down the hallway to use an additional restroom. There are also several large, black curtains covering a few of the theaters and near the concession stand.

More “Cars” Friends Are Coming To Hollywood Studios!

In preparation for the opening of Lighting McQueen’s Racing Academy at Hollywood Studios, a few Cars friends are joining in on the fun!

Starting March 31st, you can find Lighting’s friend Cruz Ramirez stopping by to take photos with guests. Also, DJ (the party on wheels) is making his way to Hollywood Studios from Radiator Springs in Disney California Adventure. DJ and Lighting McQueen’s pit-crew will be on hand several times a day for “DJ’s Ready! Set! Party Time!”. In the courtyard outside Sunset Showcase, DJ will turn up the tunes and entertain guests with Cars-inspired dances and games!

More About Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy

This all-new attraction is coming to Sunset Boulevard at Hollywood Studios. Come face to face with Lightning himself as he demonstrates what he’s learned over the years using his racing simulator. When things don’t go according to plan, Lightning and his friends Tow Mater, Cruz Ramirez, and the gang from Radiator Springs will be there to help him through.

I can’t wait to see all if the Cars additions coming to Hollywood Studios next week!

Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists’ Stars Celebrate the Premiere at Walt Disney World

The stars from Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists’ recently visited Walt Disney World to celebrate the premiere of their new series. Sasha Pieterse, Janel Parrish, and Sofia Carson shared a magical vacation to the most magical place on earth.

The girls started out the day at Animal Kingdom, riding the still very popular Flight of Passage. After that, they went over to Asia to tackle Expedition Everest. The highlight for the girls were the baby animals they saw on Kilimanjaro Safaris. The newest baby giraffe, Jabari recently joined the rest of the herd last week. Keep your eyes open for him while you are traveling in the savanna. The “Liars” also stopped to take a picture in front of the floating mountains in Pandora – The World of Avatar while rocking some adorable Minnie Mouse ears.

The party continued over to Magic Kingdom. Sasha, Janel, and Sofia met Mickey and Minnie in their new party outfits, which are part of Mickey and Minnie’s Surprise Celebration. After meeting Mickey and Minnie, the girls ventured over to Tomorrowland for a ride on Space Mountain. Of course, no trip is complete without ice cream and fireworks. The girls tried one of the new Lost Princess Cones at Storybook Treats and finished the day watching Happily Ever After.

The biggest highlight for the girls was just outside of Magic Kingdom. The Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists’ poster can be found outside of the park entrance!!

Guests Can Soon “Suit Up” To Join Spider-Man On Adventures in Disneyland And Disneyland Paris

There’s a new interactive and immersive experience coming to Disney California Adventure and Disneyland Paris, WEB, the Worldwide Engineering Brigade. Founded by Tony Stark, the WEB will develop advancements in super-powered technology and include new enhancements to Spider-Man’s suit.

This experience will be a part of the Avengers Initiative, a new Avengers Headquarters that includes new attractions and experiences in the Marvel Universe.

Scot Drake, Creative Executive of the Marvel Global Portfolio for Disney remarks:

“Both parks will feature an exciting new attraction where guests of all ages can join the heroes in action. We are expanding our story universe by creating a new organization, the Worldwide Engineering Brigade, to be our setting for this experience. Though WEB is grounded in classic characters like Peter Parker, it is an organization that we can all be a part of – one that invites us to engage with these iconic heroes like never before.”

Guests can be “recruited” to suit up with Spider-Man and test out the new technology themselves. “Spidey” himself will be on hand debuting the new suit design as well. You’ll see him swinging through the new lands as well. Disney partnered with Ryan Meinerding, the Head of Visual Development at Marvel Studios, who worked on Spider-Man’s suits in the feature films.

Marvel at Hong Kong Disneyland

Hong Kong Disneyland is also getting a new Marvel attraction called Ant-Man and The Wasp: Nano Battle! And it’s opening next week – March 31st! Guests will join Ant-Man and The Wasp in S.H.I.E.L.D.’s state-of-the-art vehicle to fight against Arnim Zola and his army of Hydra swarm-bots in a heroic battle.

Soon guests will be able to live their own adventures alongside their favorite Super Heros. Stay tuned for more information, like opening dates for these exciting developments!

There Are No Rooms Available At Disneyland Resort The Night Prior to The Grand Opening Of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

Disneyland Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opening clue

The opening of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge was announced a few short weeks ago. In case you missed it, this new interactive land will be opening in Disneyland on May 31, 2019.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge has been greatly anticipated since it was announced at D23 2015. It should be no surprise that there is an epic number of people eagerly waiting to experience this new immersive adventure. There was no availability at any of the Disneyland Resorts for the night of May 30, 2019 when we checked this morning. That’s right – Disney’s Paradise Pier, Disneyland Hotel, and Disney’s Grand Californian are completely booked! Disney’s Paradise Pier is also completely booked for May 31, 2019 as well.

This may come as a surprise to some, however, it makes perfect sense. Those guests that want to visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge between May 31 and June 23 will require a no-cost reservation in order to access this highly anticipated land. (Information on how to make these reservations will be made available at a later date so make sure to keep checking back!)

Guests that are staying at one of the 3 Disneyland Resort Hotels are automatically guaranteed a reservation. Between May 31 and June 23, guests will receive a designated reservation to access Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge during their stay. One reservation will be provided per registered guest and valid theme park admission is required.

The original Donald Duck Loungefly mini backpack is hugely popular, and the DCL version is a fun new twist on the classic. Donald swaps out his blue every day sailor wear, for a red Breton striped uniform, oh la la! A blue bow tie sits on the front pocket, while stitched appliqués bring to life Donald’s grumpy gaze. At the top rest a 3D sailor beret with a large red pompom. My favorite detail though, is the itty bitty crap zipper pull that hangs from the front zip compartment. You don’t often see zipper pulls like this on the mini backpacks, so it’s a really cute touch that adds an extra whimsical element to this already stunning bag.
