You would think that nothing could be more special and memorable than getting engaged at Walt Disney World around the holidays. You would be wrong. A man who recently popped the question to his girlfriend at the Magic Kingdom was able to enlist the help of celebrity John Stamos, making the moment completely unique, and guaranteeing a yes from his bride-to-be!
John Stamos seems to make it a habit of visiting Walt Disney World with his wife, Caitlin McHugh, ever since his proposal to her there back in 2017. It was during their most recent stay that he was approached by a man who was visibly shaking. The man confided in Stamos that he was about to propose to his girlfriend and asked for his assistance, which Stamos quickly agreed to. The group lined up for a photo, all the while planning to do far more!
It was when the man got down on one knee that the fireworks started, and the man turned to Stamos once again, unsure of how he should proceed in the dark. Springing into action, Stamos had onlookers shining their cell phone flashlights on the couple so that they could proceed. Meanwhile, McHugh captured the proposal on camera, which Stamos later posted to his Instagram account.
What a sweet way to start a life together! The couple was delighted to have Stamos’ kind involvement, while Stamos himself was honored to be able to assist them in this beautiful step together. After all, he’s no stranger to a Disney proposal! Best of luck to the happy couple!

The “Hot Cocoa” Marshmallow Macaron is as cute as it is delicious and perfect for any chocoholics out there!

Walt Disney World sure does have its hands full with all of their current projects underway- from the new rides and experiences that will be opening in the new year to each of the park’s entrance enhancements. Magic Kingdom’s entrance construction, however, is a little more complex than the other parks.
Today we have a photo update for you on the current status of Magic Kingdom‘s new entrance.
As soon as you step off of the monorail, the construction site is present to your right. Of course, Disney wants to keep it magical so you have to be a little creative if you want to see some behind-the-scenes. The best view of the project is from the monorail!
It’s clear that this project is pretty expansive considering it stretches all the way from the monorail station to some of the last MagicBand touch points on the side closest to the bus stations.
Now this structure, pictured above, is what is supposed to be Magic Kingdom’s new and permanent security checkpoint. It looks like they have finished with the foundation of the project and are now taking care of the roof.
This security checkpoint will definitely help to better corral all of the traffic with so many new rides and experiences.
Who ese is excited for Magic Kingdom’s entrance to be back to its usual magical aesthetic!
Guests in Africa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom can be easily seen towering above the structures. The fourth location of Club 33 is the only Club 33 construction that has been built from the ground up. All current Club 33 locations were built using pre-existing locations that were converted. However, since the new location in Animal Kingdom is built from scratch, it leaves us to wonder if Disney will expand this location in the future or possibly use it for something else.
Let’s look a little closer at the progress so far!
Even though the green construction walls are up, we can still see the construction going on behind them. Look at how tall this building is! It really makes you wonder what the inside will look like!
The last time we looked, the walls of the cement building were starting to take shape (as you can see in the picture on the right). Now, we can see the walls appear to be fully formed! Plus, I can see a wooden hut looking building off to the side. We didn’t see this building before!
If you didn’t want to join Club 33 before, this new Animal Kingdom Club 33 construction might just change your mind! We can’t wait to see what this building will look like when completed! Do you think they will try to conceal the club more into the foliage?
Are you a Club 33 member? What do you think of the new construction?
You know you want to take The Child/Baby Yoda with you wherever you go. The good news is, is now you can get Mandalorian PopSockets, and carry him on your phone! If you don’t know what a PopSocket is, it is a pop up grip for your phone, that can also come in a variety of fun designs!
There are three Mandalorian designs available for PopSockets. All three are also online exclusive too! You’ll find one for Mando, and two for the Child, or as the internet calls it, Baby Yoda. My personal favorite is the Child in the pod, I just love how it stands out.
Plus, with these cute PopSockets, you’ll literally be carrying around with you the most memeable Star Wars meme since General Ackbar.
The Mandalorian PopSockets are available at popsockets.com, and retail for $15.00 a piece. These are not pre-order and are available now!
Will you be adding one of these Star Wars inspired grips to your phone?
Earlier this year Josh Gad pitched a “Honey I Shrunk the Kids” reboot idea to Disney and the studio jumped on board with the idea! The reboot will be called “Shrunk” with Josh Gad in talks to star and “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” director Joe Johnston in negotiations to helm the project.
In the original film, Rick Moranis plays Wayne Szalinski, a scientist and father who accidentally shrinks his teenage son and daughter, along with the two brothers from next door, to just a quarter of an inch in size. When the kids are thrown out with the trash, they must travel through their backyard to return home while fending off insects, lawnmowers and other obstacles.
In “Shrunk”, Gad will play Wayne’s grown-up son, who follows in his father’s footsteps by not only becoming a scientist but also accidentally shrinking his own children.
Disney met with other directors but felt Johnston was a perfect fit for this project. David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman are producing and Todd Rosenberg is penning the script.
The Studio toyed with the idea of debuting the film on Disney+ but Rosenberg’s most recent draft received great enthusiasm from execs. The plan is now to release the film to theaters. The development is still in early stages and the project hasn’t actually been given the green light yet.
Stay tuned for more information about this upcoming reboot!
Director JJ Abrams Dives into Finn and Poe’s Unique Bond and LGBTQ Representation in ‘Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker‘. With the global premiere of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker done and over, fans now want answers to the nature of the charismatic relationship between two of the stars, and it’s not Rey and Kylo Ren.
Many fans have been wondering about the relationship potential between First Order Defector, Finn, and Resistance Pilot, Poe Dameron, since the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, were the two become fast friends and begin their crazy journey together. Sorry to disappoint any fans who hoped to see these two begin a budding romance, but Director J.J. Abrams has already announced the two will not showcase a romantic relationship in the film.
“That relationship [Finn and Poe] to me is a far deeper one than a romantic one,” Abrams told Variety in a recent interview. “It is a deep bond that these two have, not just because of the trial by fire in which they met, but also because of their willingness to be as intimate as they are, as afraid as they, as unsure as they are, and still be bold, and still be daring and brave.”

“And in the case of the LGBTQ community, it was important to me that people who go to see this movie feel that they’re being represented in the film,” Abrams said. Variety continued by asking, “Does that mean there will be a queer character in “The Rise of Skywalker”?”
Abrams smiled and replied. “I will say I’m giving away nothing about what happens in the movie, but I did just say what I just said.”
Oscar Isaac (Poe Dameron) shared his thoughts with Variety during the press junket and was completely onboard with the idea, though explained, it’s not really in his power to make those decisions.

“Personally, I kind of hoped and wished that maybe that would’ve been taken further in the other films, but I don’t have control,” Isaac said. “It seemed like a natural progression, but sadly enough it’s a time when people are too afraid, I think, of… I don’t know what.” According to Variety, “Isaac noted that the “ambiguity” of the characters’ relationship might allow more people to see themselves in the characters. “But if they would’ve been boyfriends, that would have been fun.”
John Boyega also shared his thoughts, but was less inclined to advocate an established romance between the pair, but did say it wouldn’t be out of place in the story had they decided to add it in.
“They’ve always had a quite loving and open relationship in which it wouldn’t be too weird if it went beyond it,” Boyega said. “But at the same time, they are just platonic at the moment.”

Likely this decision was also made because there were many threads and stories that already needed to find a close in this final installment of the Skywalker Saga (Star Wars: Episode I-Episode IX), and it would have felt forced or out of place. J.J. is known to be more deliberate with his work nowadays and wouldn’t want to leave fans guessing after the films conclusion about the characters futures. Leaving a message of “Hope” at the end of this tale, rather than have more questions left unanswered. Despite the choice to not explore a romantic relationship between Poe and Finn, The Rise of Skywalker has been wowing the cast, crew, and critics who have been lucky enough to see the film before the public premiere, and we can’t wait to see what is in store.
Be sure to check back here at Chip and Co. for all things Star Wars!
It seems there is a change in the air this holiday season. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is gifting us with extra operating hours, starting from December 9th through January 4th. You will now be able to visit the park an hour earlier every day, as the park will open at 8 am instead of the usual 9 am. Sundays would be the exception for this new change due to extra magic hours, that will only give you earlier access to the park if you are staying on property.
The rest of the week it will give you more time to check out attractions and lands, such as the new Star Wars Galaxies Edge, that just opened its new ride this week, Rise of the Resistance. Not to be missed, Millenium Falcon: Smugglers Run as well. Toy Story Land has also brought new attractions that you will need more time in the park to explore so an extra hour is a welcomed change. Enjoy!
Always stay up to date with the latest changes with Chip and Co.
When in the Magic Kingdom, find the cool spots to eat. It’s easier said than done to find someplace to avoid the crowds and heat while getting a bite. One of the areas that have been lacking most in seating lately is the popular Market in Liberty Square, which sells grab-and-go items such as Mickey pretzels, whole fruit, hot dogs, yogurt, and that king-sized turkey leg you’ve been eyeing.
The reason that this area is devoid of enough seating is one that explains so much of what is happening around Walt Disney World lately: renovations. But all of that is in the past now. A brand new covered seating area has recently been opened!
The tables each have their own umbrella, providing a necessary amount of shade, while the stools accommodate table-crowding should you have a larger party. The area has a clean and new look to it, with fresh tiles on the ground. We are so excited to sit here and people-watch while chowing down!
This outdoor space can also be used by guests eating at the nearby Columbia Harbor House, which typically boasts a good amount of indoor seating but can become crowded during the high season. Just grab your tray and head on over to the picnic spot!
If you’re a big fan of eating with a view of the Haunted Mansion, or if the next time you’re at the Magic Kingdom you get an irresistible hankering for a dill pickle, you’ll want to check out the freshly finished outdoor seating at Liberty Square Market. Then, let us know what you think of the update!
The Force is strong with Coca-Cola! With Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker opening soon, it’s no surprise that tons of new merchandise is hitting store shelves. Coca-Cola is getting fans excited for the film by offering it’s new battling lightsaber bottles. The company is releasing two versions of limited edition Star Wars bottles for their No Sugar Cokes. The bottles feature either Kylo Ren or Rey holding their lightsaber ready for battle. What’s amazing is the lightsabers will light up on these bottles!
Unfortunately, many Star Wars fans will be unable to find these bottles anywhere in the United States. For now, these bottles will only be sold in Signapore and only 8,000 bottles will be released. So this is going to be a hot collectible for Star Wars and Coke fans alike to find. Those who are hunting down these bottles in the wild will have to solve riddles Coca-Cola puts on their Facebook and Instagram. Solving the riddles will tell fans where to go for purchasing these bottles in Singapore. The treaure hunt is going from now until the December 21st premiere of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.
‘Black Widow’ Trailer Give First Look at David Harbour’s ‘Red Guardian’. The spy thriller we have all been waiting for, Black Widow, is set to introduce Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and give insight to Natasha Romanoff’s mysterious backstory.
Marvel fans were elated to hear news about the films cast, including: Florence Pugh, Rachel Weisz, O.T. Fagbenle, and David Harbour, who’s roles were kept tightly under wraps during filming. With the release of the first Black Widow trailer we got our first look at the films stars in action, and fans went CRAZY over David Harbour’s character, Red Guardian.
If you don’t know who Red Guardian is, let me explain. Essentially, Red Guardian is the successful attempt by Russia (At the time the USSR) to recreate the super solider serum, yes the same serum that made Captain America a super soldier.
