The Star Wars Trading Post in the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort is open for the Legacy Passholder Preview.
The Star Wars Trading Post has taken over the space that used to be the Rainforest Café. It will be opening to the public on Friday, February 19.
The tree and main structure from the Rainforest Café remain in the Trading Post but have been transformed into something you’d only see in the Star Wars universe.
Merchandise inside the Trading Post is mostly what you would find at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in the parks. Spirit Jerseys, apparel, plush, mugs, droids, and even lightsabers are available for guests.
There is also a new sipper available for purchase. Check it out!
There is a light saber counter in the store where you can pick out your next saber. You will need to take a number when you enter the store. Numbers are displayed on a digital board near the counter and Cast Members call out numbers as well.
Once again, you will notice that Disney leaves nothing out, even the smallest details. The store is full of props and theming that really make you feel you are in a different world.
The Star Wars Trading Post will open to the public later this week. Will you be visiting the store soon?

Food and Beverage Cast Members around the Walt Disney World Resorts are getting a new look!
We have been noticing how they are now wearing different aprons with designs that are themed after their hotel. For example over at Caribbean Beach the aprons are inspired by the fish on The Little Mermaid, at Old Key West they feature the Orange Bird!
Over at Pop Century their aprons feature speech bubbles in a pop art design and at Saratoga Springs they have adorable horses on them.
At Disney’s Contemporary Resort, the Cast Members are now wearing lime green shirts with an apron the features monorails! You can see the red, teal, green, yellow, orange and gray monorails, very fitting for the theme of the hotel.
So next time you visit a Disney Resort, make sure to play close attention to these new costumes!
Those traveling to Disney’s Magic Kingdom will find a new change in the landscape at Fantasyland. Construction walls are now covering the exterior of the Peter Pan’s Flight attraction.
The entire exterior of the Peter Pan’s Flight building will receive a refurbishment for aesthetic purposes. Disney is working on updating the iconic ride with a refurbishment for Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration. You can see the photos of the current exterior in this post.
Earlier this morning we reported how the 2022 Disney World Vacation packages were now available for booking. I was so excited I went online and started to price out some times of the year I like to visit.
When I looked at the prices for Theme Park Tickets I noticed that they seem a little higher in 2022 than in 2021 which piqued my curiosity. I was surprised to see they jumped up quite a bit around the fall of 2021, I remember the days when they used to be under $100…
Let’s take a look at some of my findings:
So a 1 day single park ticket in March of 2021 ranges from $126 up to $140.
While a Park Hopper ticket goes from $191 all the way up to $205. That is for just 1 day!!!
Now keep in mind with Disney the more days you book the lower your ticket will cost. Here is a screenshot of single-day ticket savings.
Here is the Park Hopper breakdown for multiple days.
So like always the longer you stay the more the savings will be.
With 2022 options now available I started to work ahead month by month.
To save you from scrolling through screenshots I am just going to put these in list form cause I love a good list.
While I know some months are considered peak months and pricing always will fluctuate in those months I just want to give you an idea of ticket prices for each month.
April 2021 – Base Ticket from $115 – $140 / Park Hopper $191 – $205
May 2021 – Base Ticket from $109 – $136 / Park Hopper $174 – $201
June 2021 – Base Ticket from $126 – $132 / Park Hopper $185 – $201
July 2021 – Base Ticket from $126 – $132 / Park Hopper $191 – $197
August 2021 – Base Ticket from $109 – $132 / Park Hopper $174- $197
September 2021 -Base Ticket from $109 – $126 / Park Hopper $174 – $203
Right about here is when prices slowly start to go up
October 2021 – Base Ticket from $126 – $143 / Park Hopper $198 – $208
November 2021 – Base Ticket from $133 – $150 / Park Hopper $198 – $215
December 2021 – Base Ticket from $117 – $150 / Park Hopper $198 – $224
January 2022 – Base Ticket from $115 – $140 / Park Hopper $182 – $215
February 2022 – Base Ticket from $119 – $145 / Park Hopper $184 – $210
March 2022 – Base Ticket from $133 – $143 / Park Hopper $198 – $208
So as you can see Disney World Base & Park Hopper ticket options are slowly getting more expensive. I checked ahead on the Disney World Ticket website for 2022 and the highest price I saw was $217 for Park Hopper and $159 for Base Ticket.
As you can tell through my findings the pricing is slowly going up. When we post Theme Park News on the Chip and Co Facebook page the biggest complaint we see is how the Cost keeps going up but the Extras are going down.
Many C&C fans want to see Disney bring back the Dining Plan & Fastpass which are fan favorites. With Disney World not raising capacity anytime soon past 35% and ticket prices going up are you still planning on visiting?

Today while visiting the Magic Kingdom we noticed that shrubbery has been put up in front of the Cinderella Castle along with a scrim being placed in front of the stage.

2022 Walt Disney World Resort vacation packages are now available to book!
Here is the official news from Disney:
We know many guests are looking to book future vacations, so today we’re giving guests a head start on planning as they can now book 2022 Walt Disney World Resort vacation packages.
Please note, the check-in date of your vacation cannot be more than 500 days in the future. *Disney Vacation Club Resorts are available for bookings on a rolling 11-month schedule.
There are some resort hotels that are not, as of this time, scheduled for reopening yet. We will continue to evaluate the situation and reopen more locations when the environment is right to do so. Disney Dining packages remain unavailable at this time.
Normal terms and conditions for final payments, cancelations and change fees will apply for all 2022 vacation bookings.
Booking a 2022 package does not guarantee theme park availability, and you will still need to make their park reservations for arrivals starting in 2022. You should book their park reservations immediately after linking their 2022 vacation package in the My Disney Experience app.
As previously shared, Disney World will no longer offer Disney’s Magical Express service for airport transportation, with arrivals on Jan. 1, 2022. Complimentary transportation options – such as buses, monorails, and Disney Skyliner – will continue to be available within Walt Disney World Resort for Disney Resort hotel guests, including to and from all four theme parks.
For help with booking your next Disney World vacation, contact our travel agent, Sara Solberg. She can help you plan a magical vacation at no extra cost to you!
