Fresh Kitchen Restaurant to Open New Location in Florida.

The popular restaurant, Fresh Kitchen, will be opening an eight location. This time the new location will be in Davie, Florida. The town of Davie is located just outside of Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

The first Fresh Kitchen location, in Tampa, Florida’s SoHo district in 2014, re-imagined fast food with their quick-service themed restaurant. The Fresh Kitchen brand took off running eventually opening six more locations. Locations can now be found in Sarasota, St. Petersburg, Boca Raton, two Orlando locations, as well as a new Tampa location which recently opened. The Fresh Kitchen isn’t slowing down either, they have a plan to open a third location in the Orlando area later this year.

Fresh Kitchen is a popular quick-service restaurant that allows guests to “build-your-own-bowl”. The restaurant prides itself in featuring fresh, high-quality, 100 percent Gluten-Free, seasonal ingredients.

Fresh Kitchen brand president, Steven Lanza, describes the idea behind the brand, “Bringing clean, fresh, delicious, scratch-made options to local communities is our mission. Our primary goal is to make it easy for guests to eat healthy food. Our line moves super-fast, and we also offer the convenience of online ordering. Guests are invited to build their bowl as fast as they can point by choosing from local ingredients including fresh greens, quinoa, sweet potato noodles, perfectly seasoned rice, roasted veggies, hormone and antibiotic-free grilled and more! All food is prepared using 100% olive oil.

With a bowl and ingredients for everyone, one won’t be disappointed! Bowls range from $9.99-$6.99 depending on the size you choose. Guests can pick the six bowl featuring two bases, two veggies, two proteins, and one sauce, a four bowl featuring two bases, one veggies, one protein and one sauce, or a kid’s bowl featuring one base, one veggie, one protein, and one sauce. There are also family meal or feast meal options as well!

Countdown to Mickey's NEW Celebrations in 2019

The countdown is on! In just 7 days, Mickey and Minnie’s Suprise Celebration will begin at Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World resort. It all started with a mouse, and what’s a better way to celebrate these two beloved characters than with new entertainment, merchandise, and one of a kind food and beverage offerings. Here are a few details about the happenings during this limited time event:

Minnie will be joining Mickey inside Town Square Theater to greet guests together in their new colorful outfits
There will be a new Celebration Station that you will not want to miss inside the Town Square Theater where guests will be given the opportunity to share their best wishes in a guestbook.
A new song will be joining the lineup during the “Move It! Shake it! MousekeDance It! Street Party”. “It’s a Good Time” will be played during this upbeat parade down Main Street. Keep an eye out for Donald, Daisy, Goofy and pals dancing to the beat as well!
Pluto will be meeting guests at Pete’s Silly Sideshow in Storybook Circus

Magic Kingdom is not the only park celebrating this year. 2019 is the 30th anniversary of Hollywood Studios! A new anniversary logo will be revealed on January 18th to commemorate the milestone. You will also want to check out the brand new interactive “Disney Jr. Dance Party” with Vampirina and other favorite Disney Jr. character friends. Guests will also be able to experience the world of the Incredibles from January 18 through September 30 at Pixar Place, where you can visit Edna’s Super Suit gallery, join a Supersized dance party, and follow the clues to a Super Surprise! Mike and Sulley from “Monsters Inc.” are also scaring up some fun at a new meet and greet at the Animation Courtyard.

January 18, 2019 also marks the first day of the Festival of the Arts at Epcot. This festival features new additions to the Disney Broadway Concert series, as well as your final chance to view “Illuminations: Reflections of Earth” before it ends later in 2019. Not to be left out, party animals Rafiki and Timon are hosting a brand new experience “Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party” on Discovery Island at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Troll Horns Have Returned to Epcot’s Norway Pavilion

Troll Horns are once again available at Epcot. Head over to Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe in the Norway Pavilion for this tasty treat.

A Troll Horn is a perfect snack to enjoy before or after riding Frozen Ever After. The confection features a sugar-coated cone-shaped pastry shell that fits perfectly in your hand. The shell is filled with cloudberry jam and whipped cream, making this dessert or snack have a light buttery taste. If you are unfamiliar with them, cloudberries are orange-yellow berries and in the same family as raspberries and blackberries.

The cafe is an authentic Norwegian bakery offering many different delicious selections including plenty of sweet pastries. This particular dessert has quite a history at Epcot, with a name change from Cloudberry Horn to Troll Horn and at one time was made with Lingonberry Jam, but the recipe has since been restored to the cloudberry jam goodness.

Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe is a quick service location in the Norway Pavilion that serves a wide variety of Norwegian pastries, including the well known and favorite of many, a custard filled sweet roll known as School Bread. In addition to the sweets, they serve sandwiches, a Norwegian chef salad, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and other baked goods including sweet pretzels. Viking Coffee is the perfect adult beverage for those cooler evenings. The location has recently been refurbished and is once again open, for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just a quick snack.

So whether you meet our favorite sisters from Arendelle, then experience the attraction or the other way around be sure to stop by Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe and try the Troll Horn for yourself.

Attention Passholders! Walt Disney World is changing up its Annual Passholder Super Saturday events. Starting in 2019, Super Saturdays will be replaced with events that will be periodically announced throughout the year. These special pop-up shopping experiences will still be exclusive to annual passholders.

Because of this new format – there will be NO Super Saturday event at Disney Springs on January 12, 2019.

Let’s hope that this new arrangement opens up even more opportunities for access to the latest product releases throughout the year. Keep an eye on the Passholder website and Facebook page for the latest details!

The Disney Parks Moms Panel Introduces 12 New Panelists

The Disney Parks Blog has introduced the 12 newest members of the Disney Parks Moms Panel. The new members completed the multi-step application process and were chosen from thousands of applicants, via online application this past fall. The panelists will spend the next calendar year answering questions submitted via the website.

The 2019 Disney Parks Moms Panel consists of the 12 new members and 28 returning panelists for a total of 40 individuals. Each panelist specializes in either Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, Disney Vacation Club, or runDisney. The new class represents all specialties with the exception of runDisney. The bulk of the expertise of the new panelists is in Walt Disney World with 8 of the 12 members specializing in the Florida destination. The panelists answer planning advice questions from their own perspectives and experiences. The new class stems from 9 different states across the US and one member is from Peru. Answers are submitted directly to the website without a review process from Disney Parks and Resorts. This system gives panelists the ability to share real-life and candid responses.

The diverse group consists of more than just moms. Current and past panelists include moms, dads, grandparents, and other family members wanting to provide helpful planning advice. Representing multiple nationalities, the group can respond in several different languages including English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. Being a parent is not a prerequisite for panelists reminding us all that Disney destinations are for more than just children and families.

The Disney Parks Moms Panel began in 2008 as a forum resource for vacation planning questions. Over the years the panel has grown and conducts a search for new members each fall. There are currently 170 past panelists and an online database that includes answers to thousands of questions. Panelists are independent contractors who answer questions and provide advice based on their own opinions and experiences creating an additional resource to help craft your magical Disney vacation.

Reservations for Toledo – Tapas, Steaks, & Seafood at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is now taking reservations! The restaurant is set to open on July 9th, 2019 at the newly-renovated hotel.

Toledo welcomes you to dine on tapas, seafood, and steak at this Spanish-style hangout with a 1930s avant-garde flair.

This rooftop restaurant with offer a large variety of small plates and a great view of WDW.

An open kitchen allows guests to watch the chefs as they prepare exquisite plates of charcuterie and delectable cheeses. Mouths will be watering with entrees like the aged, hand-cut Spanish 32-ounce bone-in ribeye steak for two, oven-roasted shrimp, scallops, tilefish, and olive-oil braised octopus.

Toledo invites guests to have a drink with over 75 hand-selected wine options from Spain and California along with handcrafted cocktails, beers, and ciders.

At the end of the meal, guests are encouraged to relax in Spanish paradise with an array of can’t miss delicacies.

Although the full menu has not been released yet, below are a few samples of what is to come at Toledo – Tapas, Steaks, & Seafood:

Colorful tomato salad with nectarines, heirloom tomatoes, farmer’s cheese, fermented garlic, and mint.

The newly renovated rooms feature bathrooms and sleeping areas all themed with scenes and artwork from the popular movie. Adults can enjoy a king size bed and a separate sitting area, decked out with the decor you’d expect to see in Emmet’s apartment in Bricksburg.

Each room features a kids area, complete with a bunk bed and pull-out trundle bed. There’s also a separate TV for watching all of your favorite LEGO movies and TV shows. The bathroom features Unikitty and her friends from the colorful Unikingdom!

These “awesome” rooms are perfect for your LEGO loving family. Rooms are available for reservation now in the LEGO MOVIE WORLD exclusive vacation package, for stays starting April 8th, 2019. Mardi Gras Returns To Universal Orlando Resort In 2019

Florida’s biggest party returns to Universal Orlando Resort in 2019! From February 9- April 4, 2019, Universal Orlando’s Mardi Gras celebration is back with delicious Cajun cuisine, live entertainment, and nightly Mardi Gras parade- plus concert performances on select nights!

This family-friendly Mardi Gras celebration will run daily from February 9 through April 4. On 13 select nights, guests will be treated to performances from some of today’s hottest musical artists including Grammy award-winning artist, Macklemore, Mr. Worldwide himself, world-renowned superstar, Pitbull, country music duo Dan + Shay, and Latin sensation Becky G. This year’s new party animal themed parade will let the good times roll through the streets of Universal Studios Florida. Stilt walkers, street performers, and dancers will walk amid floats wild with creatures from the Arctic, jungle, ocean, sky, and of course swamp. Live Action Kim Possible Movie Theme Song ‘Call Me, Beep Me’ Gets An Update. The iconic theme song gets revamped with a more energetic and electric sound. Many fans are cautiously optimistic about the upcoming Disney Channel Original Movie Live-Action Kim Possible set to release next month. With the building anticipation from previous fans of the animated series and the new fans being introduced to this crime fighting cheerleader, it is a great sneak peek at what we can expect from the live-action film.

Today the new theme song was released for all the world to hear and it is already making the rounds on various social media platforms. The star of the film Sadie Stanley, who plays Kim Possible, lends her voice as the lead vocalist in this re-imagined piece.

The live-action “Call Me, Beep Me!” definitely has a much more electronic sound than its predecessor from the animated series. More than likely either your teenager(s), or a teen you know, will have it stuck in their head by the end of next week. I have a feeling it won’t just be tweens and teens blasting this updated bop in the next few weeks, as the old fans will feel a wave of nostalgia as they proudly bust out the lyrics to this iconic theme. This new version is also an extended version of the classic with the addition of a new verse.

Who is ready to celebrate their very merry unbirthday? Now you can perfectly do so with the UnBirthday Cupcake shake!

According to Instagram handle @mickeysmenu, this shake can be found at Walt Disney World Resort in Magic Kingdom at The Plaza Restaurant. The vanilla shake includes two birthday cake cupcakes which are reportedly both soft and moist. (My favorite type of cake!) Topping off this scrumptious concoction is whipped cream and sprinkles. If you are like me and find it impossible to have too many sprinkles, you are in luck – there is a generous amount of both whipped cream and sprinkles. Mixed in the sprinkles are some Mickey-shaped ones as well so make sure to look closely to find those hidden Mickeys! This sweet treat is not listed on the menu; you will have to specifically request this secret item.

The Plaza Restaurant is located on Main Street U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom theme park. It serves American food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a casual, elegant setting. Reservations are required to dine here and as a reminder, those may be made starting at 180 days out. The other restaurants that accept advanced reservations at Magic Kingdom theme park include The Diamond Horseshow, Be Our Guest, Cinderella’s Royal Table, The Crystal Palace, Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen, Liberty Tree Tavern, and Tony’s Town Square Restaurant. Of course, you cannot find this secret menu item at these other dining locations though!
