There are so many new things to look forward to at Disneyland this year!  2019 is bringing not only new lands, but new experiences, and attractions as well.  Let’s take a peek at what we can look forward to.

Lunar New Year

From January 25th through February 17th, the Lunar New Year celebration comes to Disney’s California Adventure park.  This celebration features activities, decor, and cuisine highlighting the cultural celebration.  Being the year of the Pig, the Three Little Pigs will also feature heavily in “Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession”.


Authentic Asian cuisine will be available in marketplaces, and guests will be able to purchase a Sip and Savor Pass.  The pass is $39 and includes six coupons redeemable for food and beverages at select marketplace locations.

Disney California Adventure Food & Wine

From March 1st through April 23rd, Disney celebrates California inspired cuisine and beverages.  A dozen Festival Marketplaces featuring small plates and specialty drinks are available to taste.  Sip and Savor passes are also available for guests who want to try multiple dishes from each marketplace.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

In one of this years’ most anticipated openings is finally happening this year.  In the summer of 2019, Galaxy’s Edge opens in Disneyland park.  Guests will get to explore Black Spire Outpost, a busy spaceport on the planet Batuu.  Two new attractions featuring beloved Star Wars characters will debut as well.  “Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run” lets you take the controls of the famous starship.  “Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance” gives guests a front row seat to a battle between the First Order and the Resistance.

Pixar Pier Attractions

Ever since it’s debut in June of 2018, Pixar Pier has delighted guests with attractions from their favorite Disney-Pixar movies.  This year two new attractions will cap the completion of the land. “Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind” and “Jessies Critter Carousel” will join the other family-friendly rides and the western end of the pier.

Get Your Ears On – A Mickey and Minnie Celebration

Finally, throughout both parks all year long with the “Get Your Ears On” celebration.  New entertainment, decor, foods, and merchandise will help kick start this special celebration.  In January a new nighttime projection and music show will debut at Disneyland.  “Mickey’s Mix Magic” will create a fun dance-party atmosphere.  Returning is the fan-favorite “Mickey’s Soundsational Parade” – featuring a brand new opening.
