The ABC Commissary Watermelon Margarita is Refreshing and Delicious

ABC Commissary Watermelon Margarita

Does anyone remember the Watermelon drink from the Mexico Pavilion at Epcot from years and years (like 20!) ago?!  It started my love of watermelon drinks.  And now this ABC Commissary Watermelon Margarita is taking it to a whole new level!

You’ll find this Watermelon Margarita at ABC Commissary at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.  It’s a refreshing drink to sip on as we hit the “dog days of summer” and start moving into fall!

The ABC Commissary Watermelon Margarita is Refreshing and Delicious

The Watermelon Margarita takes Patron Silver Tequila Watermelon, Sweet and Sour and Lime Juice and blends it for a delicious drink! You can get one for $12.

The ABC Commissary Watermelon Margarita is Refreshing and Delicious

It’s the perfect adult beverage to accompany a tasty meal at this quick service restaurant. I’m a big fan of the Mediterranean Salad with Chicken.  It comes with hummus and flatbread – yum!  And the new Shrimp Teriyaki Bowl, served at dinner, is worth a try as well.

And save room for dessert! Although the new Toy Story Land Cupcake is so adorable you might not want to eat it!

They also have more unique choices for kids, including the BBQ Quesadilla.

But make sure you give that Watermelon Margarita a try – you won’t regret it!

There are so many amazing treats to eat and drink at the Walt Disney World Resort that you’ll want to try them all. Let one of the amazing travel experts at MickeyTravels help you plan the Disney World vacation of your dreams – and make sure you can experience all the tasty goodness for yourself!  They will work with you to make sure every Magical details is though of – the only thing you’ll need to do is decide which of the amazing food and drink items you will want to try first! Click HERE for your No Obligations Free Quote (or use the form below)!

Review: 4Rivers Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck in Disney Springs

Review: 4Rivers Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck in Disney Springs

Welcome the newest addition to the Disney Springs family – 4Rivers Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck. As a Walt Disney World local, my family has been fortunate to have enjoyed 4Rivers barbeque (A LOT) at a few locations here in Central Florida.  But now with the 4Rivers Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck at Disney Springs, tourists from all over the world can sample amazing dishes from the award-winning barbeque master – John Rivers.

Review: 4Rivers Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck in Disney Springs

You can find 4Rivers Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck parked between World of Disney and Basin at Disney Springs. This is the only 4Rivers location open seven days a week 11:30 am-10:00 pm.  On Sundays, all net proceeds from sales support the 4R Foundation which supports local schools, churches, and charities.  Just one more reason to fall in love with the 4Rivers Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck.

Chicken Tinga

Review: 4Rivers Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck in Disney Springs

Now, this is chicken right here! Shredded chicken marries with tomato chipotle sauce to create “south of the border” comfort food at its finest. I am not a fan of spicy, but this hit the spot.  The Chicken Tinga is muy delicioso!

Nana’s Pork Sofrito

Review: 4Rivers Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck in Disney Springs

All I want to know is who’s Nana inspired this sensational pork sofrito?? This was my husband’s favorite during the sneak peak which he is still raving about. Seasoned just right, Nana’s Pork Sofrito is a new favorite of mine.

Taco Cone

When my family was so kindly welcomed to the soft opening a few weeks ago, I fell in love with the Taco Cone.  It is the perfect handheld meal for a leisurely stroll around Disney Springs.  Did you know that the Taco Cone was created by John River’s son?! It is clear barbeque runs deep in the Rivers clan.

Chocolate Hazelnut Spread Nachos

Light and airy with fresh fruit (strawberries, blackberries, and pineapple) on top and that incredible warm hazelnut drizzle make the Chocolate Hazelnut Spread Nachos a winner! This is such a great dessert to share, but if you want it all to yourself I do not blame you.  It is DELISH!

Overall Thoughts

It was such a privilege to be at the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the official welcoming of the 4Rivers Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck to Disney Springs and the Disney family. Spooky New Designs at the Face Painting Stations in Hollywood Studios

Face Painting Stations

The face painting stations in Hollywood Studios are prepared for Halloween! They now have special Halloween designs to choose from. Perfect if you are going to attend a Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party that same night! The location by Rock n Roller Coaster on Sunset Blvd is where you will find these spooky designs.

Sunset Boulevard is a themed land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at the Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida. It was the first expansion of the park, opening on July 22, 1994. The visual focal point of Sunset Boulevard is The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, a thrill ride based on the classic television series, The Twilight Zone. Located nearby is Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith, an indoor roller coaster with three inversions and a high-speed launch featuring the music of the American rock band Aerosmith.

Sunset Boulevard also has two outdoor amphitheaters for live stage shows. The covered Theater of the Stars currently hosts Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage, a stage show featuring important highlights of the 1991 Disney animated film Beauty and the Beast. The other is the open-air Hollywood Hills Amphitheater which is home to Fantasmic!, a nighttime show featuring Mickey Mouse and many other Disney characters in a story filled with pyrotechnics, lasers, and water effects.

See How Construction is Coming Along for the Tron Coaster at Tomorrowland in the Magic Kingdom

Tron Coaster

Tron Coaster

We here at Chip and Co. reported earlier this month that work is currently well underway in the Tomorrowland section of the Magic Kingdom as Disney starts work on the indoor Tron coaster.

Tron Coaster

The area of the construction is just behind Space Mountain which means that you are able to see it from the surrounding roadways.

Tron Coaster

The Tron attraction is set to debut in time for Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary in 2021 and is based on TRON Lightcycle Power Run which is currently one of the most popular attractions at Shanghai Disneyland.  The coaster-style attraction will allow riders to board a train of two-wheeled Lightcycles for a race around the digital frontier.

As a result of the ongoing construction, the Walt Disney World Railroad will temporarily take up residence at Main Street Station starting December of 2018. The Tomorrowland Speedway will also close for a portion of 2019.

Readers are encouraged to keep following along with Chip and Co. for the latest Tron coaster news and updates.

Could Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs Be Headed To Artist Point?

Could Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs Be Headed To Artist Point?

Artist Point at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort has always been known for it’s rustic elegance, warm ambiance and picturesque charm. The menu is also rustic with a farm-to-fork approach. Rumor has it, Artist Point may be turning into a character dining experience with Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs!

Currently, Snow White can be found at a few character dining locations, including Cinderella’s Royal Table and Akershus Banquet Hall as well as the Festival of Fantasy Parade and Fantasmic! (among other locations). The Seven Dwarfs however, are among many of Disney’s illusive characters. Usually only seen on special occasions such as Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, if confirmed, this would be the only place to meet them year round.

Of course, Disney has not yet confirmed this rumor so we cannot speculate on if and/or when it might happen.

Would you like to see a character dining experience featuring Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at Artist Point?
