SeaWorld Orlando’s Halloween Spooktacular Returns for 2018!

SeaWorld Orlando’s Halloween Spooktacular returns this fall on September 22! Guests of all ages can join everyone’s favorite furry friends from Sesame Street as The Count, Elmo, Abby and others take the stage in “Sesame Street’s Countdown to Halloween.” Families will also enjoy a Halloween Dance Party and meet whimsical characters inspired by the sea. For this special event, children can dress in their Halloween costumes and take part in fun-filled trick-or-treating in the park.

The daytime Halloween fun takes place every Saturday and Sunday starting September 22 through October 28, 2018 and is included with park admission. Event hours are 11 a.m. to park close.

Halloween Spooktacular Highlights Include:

· Sesame Street’s Countdown to Halloween

Celebrate a Spooktacular Halloween at SeaWorld with The Count, Elmo, Abby, and the rest of your Sesame Street friends! The Count is feeling lonely this Halloween, and it’s up to you and the loveable monsters from Sesame Street to get him into the Halloween spirit. Batty bats and spooky skeletons join the fun in a song-filled stage show that invites you and your family to dance, play and sing along.

· Trick-or-Treating

Costumed youngsters can trick-or-treat for ghoulish goodies. Each sea-themed, trick-or-treat station features an assortment of candy favorites. Please join us in our efforts to protect our seas by bringing a reusable bag or Halloween bucket from home for treats. We will have an assortment of reusable bags, for $0.99 and up, at select locations.

· Pets Ahoy Halloween

Guests can enjoy a special Halloween version of this side-splitting show with surprise twists, and a cast of unlikely characters that will have the whole family laughing from beginning to end.

· Halloween Dance Party

Children join under-the-sea friends for a Halloween Dance Party where they can participate in line-dancing favorites as clouds of bubbles fill the evening air.

· Mermaid Grotto

Meet a mystical mermaid from an underwater world of fantasy. Capture the amazing moment with a Mermaid Photo Package, available for purchase at the park.

Upgrades to Your Spooktacular Day at SeaWorld Orlando

· Count von Count’s Spooktacular Breakfast

Count von Count’s Spooktacular Breakfast features a delicious buffet enjoyed with the furriest characters in town. This breakfast is a fun-filled experience sure to delight kids and parents alike. Starting at $14.99 for kids and $29.99 for adults, reservations can be made online, at the Information Counter or by calling (407) 545-5550.

· Reserved Show Seating: Sesame Street’s Countdown to Halloween

Enjoy a reserved seat at a showtime of your choice for Sesame Street’s Countdown to Halloween show at SeaWorld Orlando. Priced at $10 per person, guarantee a seat for a showtime of your choice.

For Spooktacular event days on Saturdays and Sundays through October 28, children between the ages of 3 and 9 will receive a free ticket when a full-paid adult single-day ticket is purchased!

Oh boy! Disney Vacation Club guests can now show off their DVC pride with fun new Mickey Mouse Ears! The new DVC Mickey Mouse Ears can be found at Old Key West, and absolutely adorable.

DVC Mickey Mouse Ears Are The Perfect Welcome Home

This fun new ear hat features the classic Mickey Mouse Ear hat style, with a classic Mickey appliqué. The Mickey design shows him ready for adventure with his trusty binoculars, and guide book in hand. The dome part of the ht is a soft cream, with silhouettes of Disney Vacation Club resorts. The ears say “WELCOME” and “HOME”, and the hat even has a band that reads “Disney Vacation Club member”.

Construction Update for Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill Coming to Disney Springs

Construction continues on the new Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill at Disney Springs. With the restaurant scheduled to open later this year, we stopped by to check on how things are going on our last visit to Disney Springs. Since the construction walls are still up, it’s hard to see exactly what is going on, but we can see the height of the building and the concept art of what the restaurant will look like once open.

The new Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill is being built across from Planet Hollywood and beside the Coca-Cola Store. This restaurant will highlight some of Austrian chef Wolfgang Puck’s famous signature dishes. He has restaurant and bar locations across the globe including Beverly Hills, California, London, England, Bahrain and Singapore.

Three brand new adventures have just been revealed by Adventures by Disney in their expanding line-up of Short Escape vacations! London, Boston, and Vancouver, Canada will be launching next year! Now, Disney Vacation Club Members have some special opportunities to add these Short Escape vacations to the travel plans as part of the new Membership Magic.

As part of Membership Magic, Disney Vacation Club Members have a chance to book their trips 2 days before these iconic itineraries become available to the general public. Members can enjoy trips to San Francisco, New York, or Boston. Just called Member Services to book beginning September 18!

In honor of Mexico’s Independence Day, Día de la Independencia, Frontera Cocina will have special offers and entertainment.

And the delicious food from WonderFall at Disney Springs continues! Today, I am excited to share with you the Pumpkin Spice Churro Balls from the 4 Rivers Smokehouse Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck.

The Pumpkin Spice Churro Balls feature mini Pumpkin Spice bites sprinkled with powdered sugar and are similar to 4Rivers Cantina Food Truck’s Dulce de Leche Churro Balls. Our Pumpkin Spice Balls were even served with a side of the caramel dipping sauce as you can see. However, we heard they are supposed to be served with a cream cheese dipping sauce. Regardless of which sauce you get, you are sure to enjoy them!

Construction Update in Photos: Hollywood Studios Bus Depot

Construction continues to move along on the new bus depot over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Construction Update in Photos: Hollywood Studios Bus Depot

As we previously reported, the original bus loop at Hollywood Studios has been temporarily relocated while the new location is being completed. All bus traffic is being redirected to the charter bus parking areas. Instead of turning to your left when exiting Hollywood Studios to find your resort bus stop, you will take a right as soon as you exit the Security area and walk down a path to the new location.

It appears that the new bus depot will be covered (much like the bus stop at Magic Kingdom), offering some much-needed reprieve from the sun. Surely, this will be a hit with guests as they await their magical bus transfer to their resort and other parks.

Construction Update for Waterfront Dining Restaurant Coming to Coronado Springs

Coronado Springs is currently undergoing a massive renovation that will see among other things the construction of a new waterfront Dining restaurant providing guests with the opportunity to enjoy al fresco dining with Coronado Spring Resort’s beautiful lake, Lago Dorado, as your backdrop. The eatery which will be aptly called Villa del Lago is expected to open sometime next Summer and its arrival has us here at Chip and Co. so excited that we are carefully monitoring its progress. On a recent visit, we managed to capture the following pictures of the Coronado construction!

This shot shows the walkways to the construction site and a shot of the construction taking place on Lago Dorado. In order for guests to access this over-the-water location, three walkways will be constructed to connect the restaurant with the rest of the resort.

Here’s a closer shot of this amazing structure being erected over the water. The framework is starting to bear a resemblance to the renderings released by Disney earlier this year.

Here’s a look at this impressive multi-level structure from a slightly different angle!

Signs posted around the property give onsite guests a glimpse of what the restaurant will look like when it is fully constructed next year!
