PETA is Calling for Bo Peep to Remove Her Crook in Toy Story 4

PETA released a statement calling for Pixar to remove Bo Peeps signature shepherds crook from her look in the final animation of the film. PETA Manager of Animals is asking for a complete retirement of the crook. She has this to say:

“A ‘badass’ Bo Peep would likely bop the shearers, not the sheep,” writes PETA Manager of Animals in Film and Television Lauren Thomasson. “[A] symbol of domination over any animal is a thing of the past and not something that belongs in Toy Story 4. Won’t you please consider removing Bo Peep’s crook from the final animation?”

We just announced last week that Bo Peep will be back in the picture for Toy Story 4. The newest quick teaser clip has Bo joining Woody and Buzz – and she looks like she’s ready for adventure! The released movie poster has her posing in a familiar stance… anyone getting Rey from Star Wars vibes here?

We’ve also received new information about the plot of the movie. The film revolves around the newest “toy” Forky, a spork with an identity crisis. Forky feels he can no longer fulfill his role as a spork and declares himself “trash”. It’s up to Woody and the gang to show Forky how to embrace his new life as a toy. The toys hit the road with Bonnie’s family on a road trip that takes an unexpected turn. Woody is reunited with Bo and they discover that a lot has changed since the last time they saw each other.

Disneyland Paris Reveals Closing Date for Rock ‘N’ Roller Coaster!

Disneyland Paris has released the closing date for the iconic Aerosmith ‘Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster’ in Walt Disney Studios. The coaster is set to close on the 1st September 2019 to make way for the new Iron Man coaster as part of the wider expansion of the Studios park! So far, it appears as though the re-theming of this coaster is only in Disneyland Paris and not in the other Disney parks!

Disney first announced the re-theming of this attraction at Disneyland Paris at D23 Expo Japan in 2018 as officials introduced the exciting, 2 billion-euro expansion coming to Walt Disney Studios. This expansion will include new lands such as Marvel, Frozen and Star Wars! The new Marvel land will be completed in phases, with the first phase set to open in 2021 and the reimagined New York Hotel is set to open in 2020 as ‘Hotel New York- The Art of Marvel’. Guests do not have to wait until 2021 to experience Marvel at Disneyland Paris… as Marvel Season of Super-Heroes is returning to Walt Disney Studios from the 23rd March to the 16th June! This year seems bigger than ever before… as Groot, Captain Marvel and even Red Skull are set to appear!

Orange Cream Cupcake Available at Contempo Cafe

Disney always seems to have a new sweet treat or two up its sleeve. If you’re looking for a new treat to try, head over to Contempo Café at The Contemporary. Just a quick monorail ride away from Magic Kingdom, the Orange Cream Cupcake is a tasty cupcake, that’s worth every calorie.

The Orange Cream Cupcake is as delicious as it looks. The bright orange buttercream frosting is piped and looks like a flower that is ready to bloom. The frosting also reminds me of fresh juicy orange slices. The pearls placed around the orange frosting add a cute dainty touch. The cupcake overall is perfectly balanced. Not too sweet and not too orange flavored. Complimenting the orange flavor is the cream filling that’s inside the cupcake. One bite combines the orange flavor, cream filling, and buttercream frosting. Yum!! Besides the perfectly placed candy pearls, check out the adorable Mickey ears topping the orange frosting. The white chocolate ears compliment the pearls and complete the look.

Sleeping Beauty Castle Construction Update

We recently reported the start of the Sleeping Beauty Castle construction at Disneyland Resort, and we are back with some updated photos.

The Sleeping Beauty Castle Walkthrough is closed while the exterior undergoes extensive renovations. Guest can utilize Big Thunder Trail or the Parade Route along the Matterhorn to enter Fantasyland.

The castle refurbishment is part of Project Stardust. Project Stardust is a collection of enhancements around the Disneyland Resort. Several Fantasyland attractions received updates to their queues. Outdoor vending cart spacing is being adjusted to make additional walking space for guests. Disneyland Resort is preparing for the opening of Star Wars: Galaxy Edge this summer. The new addition will bring large crowds to the resort and these new projects are all underway to maximize guest comfort and experience.

Is There Going to Be a 2nd and 3rd Zootopia?

Is there going to be a Zootopia 2 and 3? In an interview with Tommy Lister, the actor who played Finnick in Zootopia gave an interview where he said there is, in fact, a 2nd and 3rd Zootopia in the future. He had this to say:

“I can tell you for sure I’m doing another Zootopia with Disney. We’re doing three of them. (There were) three Madagascars. We’re gonna replace that. We’re the biggest film that Disney is producing. The last one was $240 million. This one I’m hearing will be $300 million. That’s what they spent on the budget, not the advertising. But the movie made $2.6 billion, with merchandising and the box office.”

Reusable Bags Spotted At Animal Kingdom

Walt Disney World has been rolling out reusable bags at each of its theme parks recently. Disney’s Animal Kingdom is the latest park to offer a reusable option!

The bags come in three different sizes – Small, Medium, and Large. These make the perfect addition to all of your souvenir purchases. The cost is minimal. A Small bag retails for $1.00. A Medium bag retails for $1.50. Lastly, a Large bag retails for $2.00.

Each of the theme parks features a different bag design. The reusable bags found at Disney’s Animal Kingdom stay true to the theming of the park. The bag itself is tan in color with green designs. The bag design features The Tree of Life. There is also a total of 4 different pictures included in the design as well. The upper left quadrant features a depiction of Expedition Everest. The bottom left quadrant features Mickey Mouse. (Of course!) The upper right quadrant features a depiction of Kilimanjaro Safaris with a drawing of a rhino. The bottom right quadrant features a rendition of Avatar Flight of Passage. I personally love the design and cannot fathom anything better that captures the essence of Animal Kingdom!

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park is the perfect place to offer these environmental-friendly alternative options to plastic bags. Since 1995, the Disney Conservation Fund has funded more than $70 million with the objective of reversing the decline of wildlife worldwide. In mid-2018 it was announced that Disney would further its commitment to environmental stewardship. The Walt Disney Company stated it would take steps to eliminate single-use plastic straws and plastic stirrers at all owned and operated locations. Hotels and cruise ships are also transitioning to refillable in-room amenities. Polystyrene cups are also being phased out. Lastly, guests are being offered the option of purchasing a reusable bag. This aligns with the objective of reducing the number of plastic shopping bags. Each of these steps is part of the long-term goal of reducing single-use plastics.

Pixie dust alert! They say stepping through the park turnstiles brings out the kid in all of us and it just got a little harder to grow up. There is a brand new PhotoPass magic shot at both Disneyland Park and Magic Kingdom Park at Walt Disney World. The shot can be taken right at the entrance of the theme park. The first photo stop for many of us, right in front of Mickey Floral is now just a little more magical with our favorite boy who can fly, Peter Pan. The pixie dust occurs when a photographer with the Disney PhotoPass service takes your magical photo in just the right spot. While you might not see Peter Pan when you take the picture you will see him flying around in your photo when you look later.

PhotoPass is the photo service at both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. Professional photographers are stationed around the theme parks ready to snap a high-quality photo of you and those traveling with you. Be sure to ask for any magic shots when you stop to take a photo. Then, with a quick scan of your app or MagicBand you go off on your way to enjoy your day and the photos magically appear later on in your Disneyland or My Disney Experience App. PhotoPass is a wonderful way to help you get out from behind your camera and into the picture. PhotoPass comes along with your MaxPass purchase at Disneyland and is part of the Memory Maker photo package at Walt Disney World.

33 Years Of Pixar In 33 Seconds

Since February 1986, Pixar has been bringing us not only amazing movies with cutting edge technology but beautiful moments as well! Believe it or not, that already spans 33 years!

My whole life has spanned Pixar’s movies. Each one brings back special memories. Pixar has brought us not only full feature films, but short films as well. Short films that have been released include Bao, Luxo Jr, Pixar the Moon (La Luna), For the Birds, and (my personal favorite) Geri’s Game. I vividly remember seeing this short film about a chess match in the movie theater for the first time before A Bug’s Life.

Pixar has also brought us some amazing feature films over the years as well. We have learned how to go to infinity and beyond with Toy Story. Finding Nemo has taught us to just keep swimming no matter what. We should all embrace what makes us unique and super based on The Incredibles. We were shown that anyone can cook in Ratatouille. Lastly, Coco showed us that we should always chase after our dreams. The beautiful thing with Pixar movies is that they are family-friendly and they all have a great lesson to teach us!

Will Black Widow be the first Disney Released Marvel Studios’ First R-rated Movie?

What’s in store for the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Lots of fans have been wondering what comes after the events of Avengers: Endgame, but it looks like Black Widow will finally get her time to shine.

It sounds like the film is finally coming together thanks to director, Cate Shortland, screenwriter, Jac Shaeffer, and star, Scarlett Johansson.

The movie will be a big change for Marvel Studios. After the success of Logan and Deadpool and Disney’s upcoming purchase of 20th Century Fox, it only makes sense that this film would be more geared towards adults.

According to Crazy Days & Nights, there are plans for Black Widow to premiere as the first R-rated Disney released Marvel movie.

Black Widow is the perfect character to test the R-rated waters because she deals with high-stakes espionage and international assassinations.

At this point, the details of the movie’s rating are not set in stone, but a less-than-kid-friendly movie wouldn’t be a surprise.

Black Widow is rumored to hit theaters sometime in 2020.

The Patriots in the Super Bowl Parade at Magic Kingdom

The Patriots have won the Super Bowl and quarterback Tom Brady and Game MVP Julian Edelman rode in style down Main St U.S.A. With Mickey and pals today.

Today the New England Patriots are headed to Walt Disney World to be a part of a special parade celebrating their win over the LA Rams in Super Bowl LIII. For years those famous words “You’ve just won the Super Bowl, what are you going to do next” were uttered last night. Veteran quarterback Tom Brady and MVP & wide receiver Julian Edelman screamed the answer “WE’RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!”

Tom Brady And Julian Edelman Dropped By Hollywood Studios For Photo Op At The Millennium Falcon Wall

Super Bowl LIII winners, Julian Edelman and Tom Brady, keeping with tradition did indeed make a trip to Walt Disney World today which included a stop at Hollywood Studios. Edelman and Brady posed for photos in front of the Millennium Falcon wall and received Jedi Training as part of their Disney adventures.

Tomorrow, February 5th is National Nutella Day! As if we need another reason to celebrate hazelnut-y and chocolatey goodness, Amorette’s Patisserie is giving us TWO more reasons! Located in Disney Springs, Amorette’s is celebrating the holiday with two exclusive desserts, available for a limited time.

The Nutella Eclair is a light choux pastry filled with Nutella mousse, topped with chocolate ganache, toasted hazelnuts, and gold leaf. Yum!

For those of you who prefer a gluten-free confection, Amorette’s is also offering a limited edition macaron. The Nutella macaron is a chocolate macaron, with Nutella spread sandwiched in between. The whole macaron is dipped in chocolate and coated with toasted hazelnut bits.
