Thirst quenching libations and delicious food items are being sampled today at a media event for The 2019 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. During the Festival, Epcot is blanketed in beautiful topiaries. There are outdoor kitchens throughout the World Showcase with a variety of treats.

Start with something savory. Finish with something sweet. And wash it all down with a cider!

Spring is in the air, which is a great excuse to drink Rosé All Day Located in Disney Springs, Morimoto Asia will be hosting the restaurant’s second annual Sakura Festival on March 10, 2019. Traditionally celebrated all-month-long, the Sakura Festival focuses on the traditional arrival of the Japanese Cherry Blossoms.

Sneak Peek Of The Flower and Garden Topiaries For 2019

While the official opening of the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival is still a week away, we have a special sneak peek of the topiaries installed at Showcase Plaza. A huge team of horticulturalists’ have been working round the clock to install these beautiful features for the festival.

Check out that adorable Minnie and Mickey, sharing a picnic for two surrounded by flowers and heart topiaries. Mickey even picked a few red flowers for Minnie, to match her signature red outfit!

Farmer Donald is tending to his floral garden over near Port of Entry. And, it looks like double-trouble for Donald as Chip and Dale can also be spotted nearby. No doubt, plotting to ruin Donald’s plan of a nice and tidy garden.

Huey, Dewey, and Louie are also on had across the way, ready to help out Uncle Donald with their own gardening tools.

Goofy and Pluto are both welcoming guests to World Showcase in the center of the bridge across to Showcase Plaza. Pluto’s collar made of sunflowers is just the cutest!

Of course, no topiary installment would be complete without the EPCOT spokes-dragon himself – Figment! He’s located over by his namesake ride at the Imagination Pavilion.

Mater and Lightning McQueen are also on hand to greet guests at the festival. You can find these Radiator Springs buddies outside of Innoventions near Test Track.

This is a sampling of the 100 character topiaries, in addition to the 700 gardens, 30 flower towers and 240 floating planters that can be found around the festival. There are also 13 outdoor kitchens to explore, expert presentations and workshops to participate in as well. Don’t forget about the Garden Rocks Concert Series every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday as well!

Atlanta Braves Final Season Of Spring Training At EPSN Wide World Of Sports

There’s still time to catch the last season of Atlanta Braves Spring Training at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. The start of 16 home games being hosted at Disney World began last week, but there’s still time to see your favorites in action on the field.

Some of the opponents for these training games are the Huston Astros, Miami Marlins, Detroit Tigers, Washington Nationals, New York Mets and New York Yankees. Players like Ronald Acuña, Jr., Johan Camargo, Luiz Gohara, Julio Alberto Teheran, Arodys Vizcaino, Ender Inciarte, and many others will be taking the field during these scrimmages.

Aside from your favorite MLB players, games include character appearances, kids running the bases after games, and additional entertainment. There’s also plenty of unique ball-park foods available that you won’t get anywhere else in Disney. New this year, the concession stands will be highlighting local food and beverage offerings that highlight the visiting team’s city.

The 2019 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival is coming up on March 1st but today Chip is at Walt Disney World getting a sneak peek at what is to come. He was able to get his hands on a festival passport for you to see a preview of all they have in store this year!

This year you can take Spike along with you to explore the garden and topiaries while eating your way through the festival! Inside the passport are stickers that you can mark off when you have completed a destination within the guide! This year there are new outdoor kitchens to enjoy too. Disney Villains Show Coming to Disney+

The news for the upcoming Disney+ streaming service is coming at a furious pace these days. No official release date has been announced, but the highly-anticipated new platform is slated to open sometime later this year. To fully prepare for the rollout, Disney has been developing a large number of their intellectual properties into new shows for the service. We now have word that a Disney Villains series is currently in development with production expected to start next year.

According to a tweet from Production Weekly, Steven Pearlman (Once Upon a Time) and Michael Seitzman (Quantico) have been tapped to develop Disney Villains for the Disney+ service. Production is scheduled to begin in Dublin, Ireland at Ardmore Studios later next year. No details on the show have been released yet, and with production not starting until 2020, this new Villains based series definitely won’t debut with the starting lineup of Disney+ offerings. Though we can gather from this production announcement that the new show will most likely be live-action based.

Disney Villains will join the list of new series developed from existing Disney properties. We’ve already had official word of two Star Wars shows as well as at least one Marvel-based series on the way. In addition, there are announced plans for Monsters Inc. and High School Musical shows. These are probably just the tip of the iceberg though as far as Disney properties getting new lives on the online service and we can’t wait to see what’s next.

Downtown Disney District To Welcome Sugarboo & Co. Soon

The Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort has some exciting plans! They will be welcoming the Dealer in Whimsey, Sugarboo 7 Co. this spring! The family owned boutique is a unique and cozy shop filled with delightful treasures for the home.

You’ll find everything from inspiring art prints and charming home goods, to whimsical paper products, handmade ceramics, candles, bath apothecary and stamped jewelry. There are lots of items with uplifting quotes to make you smile too.

The name “Sugarboo” comes from the necklaces the owner Rebecca Puig has for her children. She began this family owned business with her husband Rick in 2005, with “the inspiration to create products that remind of of the ones we love.”

Puig believes Mother Nature is the best artist, and is attracted to textiles, metals, jute, linens, and distressed woods for a curated collection inspired by rustic vintage, and modern sophistication.

“My inspirations are my family, nature, animals, old things, children’s art and folk art. I love juxtaposing old and new, light and dark, serious with fluff and anything with a message,” Puig said. “The Downtown Disney District will be our premier location in California. Our store at Disney Springs has received a warm welcome from travelers visiting Orlando near and far, and we’re excited to bring Sugarboo & Co. to the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim. Our mission is that each Sugarboo piece we send into the world will add a little good!”

The Sugarboo & Co. shop opens this spring and will be located on the west end of the Downtown Disney District. This will be the first Sugarboo’s location in California!

Charity platform Omaze has become known for raffling off amazing experiences and celebrity meetings as a way to raise money and help those in need. They have just announced a new contest giving away a meeting with Doctor Strange himself, Benedict Cumberbatch as well as a chance to see the premiere of Avengers: Endgame.

Omaze’s newest contest will give one winner and a friend the chance to meet with the accomplished actor and Marvel Cinematic Universe star and take photos while possibly learning a few magical secrets from the Sorcerer Supreme. The fun meet and greet won’t be the only exciting part of the prize, the winner will also attend the premiere of Avengers: Endgame as a VIP, walk the red carpet and be among the first to see if the catastrophic events of Infinity War can be avenged! Flights and hotel arrangements are included in the package.

To enter the contest, participants must make a donation to the Omaze site that will then be turned into a number of entries, depending on the amount donated. The contest proceeds will go to GEANCO, an organization that works to help improve the lives of Africans with a focus on health and education in Nigeria. The donations will go to scholarships, surgeries, and infant health programs. It is just one of many worthwhile causes being supported through contests on the site. We are always on the lookout for amazing Disney food, and today we may have found one of the best BBQ dishes at Walt Disney World! When most guests think of BBQ in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the first thought tends to be quick-service location, Flametree BBQ. And although Flametree has great BBQ, it might not be as well known that the best ribs in the park can be found at Yak & Yeti.

The Korean BBQ Ribs are a sizeable half-rack of St. Louis pork ribs that are slow roasted. They are covered in a slightly sweet and zesty BBQ sauce. The ribs are served on a mountain of crispy shoestring fries with a side of kimchi slaw. The ribs were cooked to perfection and the meat falls off the bone so easily you end up needing a fork. The fries were extremely crispy and the kimchi slaw added a nice light balance to the heaviness of the meal. The real standout was the Korean BBQ sauce. It was the perfect combination of smoky and sweet with a hint of spiciness. The serving size for this dish is very large. There is an option to add another half rack of ribs, however, which would definitely make this a shareable course. We paired our meal with the specialty cocktail, The South Seas Traveller and would also recommend this tasty tropical treat if you’re looking for a strong refreshment.

You can find the Korean BBQ Ribs at Yak and Yeti in the Asia section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The mix of beautiful theming and exceptional dishes makes it one of our favorite Table Service locations at Walt Disney World. New Cast Member Costume Revealed For Star Wars:Galaxy’s Edge!

It’s so close we can taste it! Tonight Disneyland held a Cast Member reveal of the new costumes for Star Wars:Galaxy’s Edge. We were lucky enough to have a Cast Members share their photos with us!

Club 33 is Finally Coming to Animal Kingdom

Club 33 is one step closer to its opening at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. While it is a small step, with minimal construction indicators visible and the filing of paperwork, it is a step none the less. The ultra-exclusive and somewhat elusive Club 33 has already been installed at the other three Walt Disney World theme parks.

The designed space is an area that falls between Africa and Pandora. The proposed site is a raised area off the pathway connecting the two areas. Club 33’s newest location will be known as Harambe House. The other locations, Spotlight Lounge at Hollywood Studios, Constellation Lounge at Epcot, and Captian’s Quarters at the Magic Kingdom are themed to their specific areas.

Other than knowing the location of the Animal Kingdom Club and the markers showing the site there is not much else to see at this time. With the beautiful lush foliage and attention to detail, Animal Kingdom is known for this club will likely fit in beautifully.

Club 33 is a membership-only club that for many years was only open at Disneyland Park in California. In 2017 it was announced that the club would head to the east coast and open with locations in all four parks at Walt Disney World. Additional locations are located in Shanghai and Tokyo. The club is filled with a rich history, originally opening in 1967. The original location can be found in New Orleans Square just above Cafe Orleans and The French Market Restaurants. The restaurant locations while well known and marked with the 33 logo exist quietly with privileges extended to members and their guests.
