New Walt Disney World Desserts To Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth this April

Spring has sprung at Walt Disney World Resort, and with it, a whole new crop of delicious desserts! The latest line of Briar Rose Gold merchandise has led to the inspiration of tons of treats at WDW.

You can find lots of these perfectly pink creations at the Disney resort hotels. The Yacht & Beach Club are serving up a Rose Gold Orange Cream Tart – orange custard finished with vanilla bean mousse and white chocolate mirror glaze, topped with white chocolate ears! Just across Crescent Lake at the BoardWalk Bakery, you’ll find the Briar Rose Gold Scooter Pie. Two Minnie shaped cookies are sandwiched together with marshmallow, raspberry white chocolate and topped with a chocolate Minnie bow.

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is always a great stop for delicious desserts, and this month you can try the Rose Gold Vanilla Cupcake at Capt. Cook’s. This tropical delight is filled with guava custard and topped with buttercream and fondant. Perhaps you’re more in the mood for a cocktail? The pool bars have you covered with the Rose Gold Sunset Margarita. Tequila and orange liqueur are mixed with mango, guava, and ginger to make this delicious, and beautiful drink. All you need to do is sit back and lounge by the pool!

In addition to the Briar Rose Gold treats, another two new items have popped up at the Polynesian. Pineapple Lanai, home of the fan favorite Dole Whip, is serving up the Heart of Te Fiti Cone. Lime Dole Whip soft-serve sits atop a green cone and is garnished with an edible orchid bloom. Another Lime Dole Whip offering, for adults only this time, is the Corazon Blanco Tequila Frozen Margarita.

Contempo Cafe is the place to stop for Briar Rose Gold treats at the Contemporary. The Briar Rose Gold Raspberry Cake is filled with vanilla custard. You can also find the Briar Rose Gold Cupcake, chocolate with strawberry filling, topped with buttercream, waffle cone, and chocolate ears. This delicious cupcake is also available at the All-Star Resorts, Art of Animation, Pop Century, Port Orleans, Caribbean Beach, and Saratoga Springs resorts.

You can find the last Briar Rose Gold treat at Disney’s Animal Kingdom park. The Rose Gold Brownie at Creature Comforts is topped with a strawberry mousse dome and decorated with white chocolate ears. Harambe Market also has a new dessert available this month. The “Most Beautiful Cake” lives up to its name – coconut cake filled with pineapple and topped with creamy coconut mousse. It’s almost too pretty to eat!

Last but not least are two new character inspired cupcakes. Over at All-Star Movies, Herbie the Love Bug has his own feature cupcake to celebrate his 50th Anniversary. The Devil’s food cupcake is topped with chocolate mousse and white chocolate accents – available now through May 31st. All-Star Movies and Music both have the Tinkerbell Cupcake, available till April 31st. This chocolate cupcake is filled with key lime custard and topped with key lime buttercream, white chocolate fairy wings, and pixie dust!

Casey’s Corner is located on Main Street U.S.A and is famous for its magnificent hot dogs, toppings and their hot diggity dog of the month! For the month of April, Casey’s Corner has featured the new Cuban hot dog.

The Cuban Hot Diggity Dog of the month features an all-beef got dog topped with Mojo pulled pork, swiss cheese, dill pickle relish, and a yellow mustard drizzle served with French fries and apple slices. Guests can purchase this has a regular sized hot dog or as a foot-long! The regular is available for $11.49 and the foot-long is available for $13.49. Go for the foot-long!

In addition, guests can purchase loaded fries to accompany their Cuban Hot Dog of the month! For only $6.49, these fries come loaded with all of the same toppings that came on your Cuban hot dog. Remember, this is Disney so they do not skimp on the word “loaded”, both the fries and hot dog come with a heaping amount of toppings.

When I first saw the Mike Sipper and Sulley Popcorn Bucket from Disneyland, I couldn’t wait for them to come to Walt Disney World. Finally the Mike Drink Sipper has made it’s debut at Animal Kingdom!

The fun Mike Sipper Cup is a refillable and collectible souvenir featuring the lovable green monster, who is always able to make us laugh. The bright purple base of the sipper interlocks with the base of the Sulley popcorn bucket as well! You can find Mike at the drink kiosk near Flame Tree Barbecue. Sneak Peek At Ronto Roaster’s Barbecue At Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge

When Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens in Disneyland next month, you’ll find a unique restaurant located in the Black Spire Outpost. Ronto Roasters will offer spit-roasted barbecue meats and cold drinks for the guests visiting the outpost marketplace.

This first thing you’ll see when you enter is 8D-J8, an animatronic droid, complaining about his job turning the spit of meat over a fire. The restaurant takes its name from the large pack animals used as beasts-of-burden by the Jawas on Tatooine.

The proprietor of Ronto Roasters is Bakkar, a pod-racing fan who pays tribute to the sport throughout the eatery. Pod-racing flags and memorabilia line the walls, while the actual cooking of the “space meat” is done on a repurposed pod-racing engine.

What’s Cookin’ at Ronto Roasters

On the menu, you’ll find a mix of sweet and spicy flavors (a culinary nod to the light and dark sides of the Force). Brian Piasecki, Disney World culinary director for concept development says;

“We know that we are stuck with serving food within our planet, but we had to think about it differently. We had to think about some of those flavors of Morocco and those flavors of Asia because of that yin and yang, that sweet and that spicy. It all became very important in the development of the story.”

The Ronto Wrap is a handheld sandwich with spicy Portuguese sausage and sliced roast pork on a pita. It’s served up with the house “clutch sauce”, a spicy Szechuan peppercorn sauce. There’s also the turkey jerky that is made in-house and offered in two flavors, spicy herb and sweet teriyaki.

Ronto Roasters will be serving up sweet & spicy barbecue when Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens on May 31 at Disneyland and Aug. 29 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Disney California Adventure Park was the place to be today as Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, Paul Rudd, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner and Brie Larson, stars of Marvel Studios’ AVENGERS: ENDGAME, kicked off Avengers: The Universe Unites, an epic event benefiting children’s charities.

New Mousekeeter Cupcake at Magic Kingdom

The main man himself, Mickey Mouse, has his own cupcake for a limited time. The all-new Mousekeeter Cupcake is located on Main Street in Magic Kingdom.

For a limited time, head over to the Main Street Bakery and indulge in the adorable, but jumbo Mousekeeter Cupcake. Themed after the iconic Mickey Mouse Club, this sweet treat is sure to fulfill your sweet tooth fix.

There’s so much more to the cupcake than just the outside. For starters, how cute the iconic Mickey Mouse face made from chocolate, along with his chocolate “disc” ears? Behind his face, adding a pop of color is red fondant to symbolize the red circle from the original logo.

If you’re a frosting lover, this cupcake is for you. Underneath the black sprinkles is a mound of chocolate and vanilla frosting dyed with black food coloring. Consider this fair warning, that there’s a good chance your mouth will be black once you’re enjoying this tasty treat. Underneath the mound of black frosting is a second layer of white frosting. Covering the white frosting are the adorable black, red, and white mickey sprinkles surrounding the edge.

Under all the frosting is a combination of marble red velvet and yellow cake.

The jumbo cupcake, which is larger than the regular cupcake sells for $6.99 and can easily be shared. Guests using a dining plan can use one snack credit to enjoy this yummy treat.

Trademark Applications For A Line of Star Wars Themed Alcoholic Beverages Have Been Filed

Those familiar with Star Wars just might recognize the names of some beverages that were recently registered. Lucasfilm filed several trademark applications that include the names of nine different alcoholic beverages according to The Blast. Lucasfilm is a subsidiary of Disney.

The nine beverages are mostly beer and wine, with one cider listed in the documents. Could this be a clue of some of the options park goers will be able to choose from at Oga’s Cantina?

Beers:

Gold Squadron Lager
White Wampa Ale
Trandoshan Ale
Gamorrean Ale

Wines:

Imperial Guard Wine
Toniray Wine
Corellian Red Wine
Andoan White Wine

Cider:

Spice Runner Hard Cider

So just what will these libations look and taste like? There is no way to know based on the names alone if these beverages will look like traditional beer and wine or if they will have more of an out of this world appearance. However, it is quite possible that some or all of the menu selections may look or taste a little different than expected. Will the Alderaan produced Toniray wine be available in its previously described form as a teal-colored bubbly beverage? What can we expect from the other beverages? Only time will tell.

Oga’s Cantina will feature a variety of beverages, music from the cantina’s DJ RX-24, and of course some very lively and intriguing characters who have plenty of interesting stories to tell. Guests will be able to stop by Oga’s Cantina at the Black Spire Outpost on the planet of Batuu when Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens May 31st at Disneyland and August 29th at Walt Disney World.
