For a long time, you have been able to order from Amazon or other online grocery services and have them delivered right to your Walt Disney World Resort. This comes in handy for families flying in that want some in-room amenities and groceries for their stay at Walt Disney World.
Previously, you would order online and the items would be delivered to your resort and transferred to your room.
Walt Disney World Resort hotels are now charging a service fee for in-room deliveries of packages and groceries. A $6 service fee will be charged if you request the grocery order or package to be delivered to your room. Pickup at the lobby continues to be complimentary. The service fee is per order and not per bag.
This summer, runners, Marvel fans, and runners who are Marvel fans have the opportunity to assemble and celebrate with a virtual runDisney event. There will be one event each month celebrating a different superhero with a medal to match. The three events are all 5k runs and are perfect for every fitness level. The virtual events can be done from home or any location that suits you; choose to run in your neighborhood, the beach, local trails, or even a treadmill. Completing the virtual race can be done wherever you choose and on your timeline.
In June, kick the series off with Captain Marvel. Things heat up in July when Iron Man is featured. Finally, conquer the dog days of summer when Black Panther takes center stage in August. Those who register for the Challenge and complete all three races will receive an additional medal. The fourth medal not only celebrates 80 years of Marvel but also celebrates the runner who has conquered all three events. Those who complete the event they register for can download a finishers certificate to proudly display along with their awesome medal.
For runners or perspective runners with bucket list line item of a runDisney race, the virtual events are a great way to get in the training mindset. runDisney races are held several times a year. Currently, both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Paris have events scheduled. The races are quite popular and feature multiple events including 5 and 10Ks, and both half and full marathons. Not all races feature all events, and those looking for an extra challenge can register for multiple races. While the virtual events are a great way to train for the in-person races, prospective runners can find additional training programs through runDisney.

A new $1.5 Billion Atlantis Resort could finally be coming to Hawaii!
This massive new resort will be located near Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, at Ko Olina on the island of Oahu. The Four Seasons Resort Oahu, Marriott’s Ko Olina Beach Club, and others are also located here.
Here’s what TravelPulse founder Mark Murphy told CBS about the project:
“What they’re trying to do is they’re trying to take that property they have in Dubai on the Palm Island and replicate it in Hawaii in a gorgeous setting. We’re talking about massive aquariums, wildlife, great experiences. It’s a fantasy world.”

A Chinese developer, China Oceanwide, obtained several parcels of land on Ko Olina in 2016. This land is set to be used for the new, luxury Atlantis resort with 1,400 rooms, Atlantis-branded residences, an aquarium, restaurants, bars, gyms, conference rooms, and outdoor pools.
Details about the new Atlantis resort in Hawaii are scarce and the opening date has not been revealed yet. At the very least, the new mega-resort will take several years to construct.

One of the classic rides at Walt Disney World Resort recently added a new attraction photo location. If guests dare to enter Magic Kingdom Park’s Haunted Mansion a ghost will follow riders home in their attraction photo! This new photo location marks the 13th attraction which includes Disney PhotoPass. To celebrate this hauntingly perfect addition, special opportunities are being offered around Liberty Square for one day only on April 13th.
PhotoPass+ Photographer Near the Haunted Mansion
Starting at 9 AM, there will be a PhotoPass+ photographer stationed near the exit of the Haunted Mansion. This photographer will offer a “Tomb Sweet Tomb” prop as well as a chilling Animated Magic Shot. Once day turns into night, the “Tomb Sweet Tomb” prop will be replaced with the caretaker’s lantern.
Magic Shots
Magic Shots are always a ton of fun and those wishing to indulge in these to celebrate the 13th Attraction Photo location will not be disappointed! A PhotoPass+ photographer located near the hearse in front of the Haunted Mansion will have the ability to make the Hitchhiking Ghosts appear in photos. Hopefully, they won’t hitchhike all the way home with guests though! A Hatbox Ghost Magic Shot can be collected by visiting the PhotoPass+ photographer near the entrance to the Liberty Square Riverboat. Both of these Magic Shots will be available the entire day starting at 9 AM.
The PhotoPass+ photographer located outside of Memento Mori will capture the orbs that surround the eerie estate. Remember that weird glows gleam where spirits dwell and by the looks of it, there is plenty of spirits dwelling!
Haunted Mansion Attraction Photo
Guests will be able to preview their Disney PhotoPass attraction photo during their Doom Buggy ride. Just make sure to wear your Magic Band or MagicBand 2 icon in a MagicKeeper that is linked to your My Disney Experience account!
Additional Special Experiences
Besides the photos described above, there are additional special experiences being offered one day only to celebrate!
Take home an 8-inch by a 10-inch lenticular image showing your spirited side at Memento Mori. The cost is $13.13 + tax which is very fitting for this celebration!
The Liberty Square Market will offer a special Midnight Fright Delight “browkie” inspired by the famous clock inside the Haunted Mansion. The cost is $6.99 + tax.
The Cadaver Dans ghostly quartet will be making a special appearance once the sun goes down in Liberty Square.
All of the photos captured by Disney PhotoPass Service on April 13th can be downloaded with Memory Maker One Day. “Good Morning America” got an exclusive first look at the trailer for “Descendants 3,” the highly anticipated third installment of the hit Disney Channel Original Movie series about the teenage children of some of Disney’s most infamous villains.
In the new film, beloved characters Mal, Evie, Carlos and Jay return to the Isle of the Lost to recruit more villains’ children to join them.
The modern good-versus-evil story featuring the group of beloved villain kids (or VKs) is also set to feature their most epic battle yet after Mal and crew are forced to fight for the safety of all of Auradon Prep following a barrier breach.
In addition to the beloved original cast of characters, the new film will also feature new characters, including Hades, the Greek God of the underworld, and Dr. Facilier’s daughter, Celia.
Directed by Kenny Ortega — the mastermind behind other Disney Channel hits like “High School Musical — the film stars Dove Cameron, Booboo Stewart, Cameron Boyce, Sofia Carson and China Anne McClain.

Woody’s Roundup BBQ Buffet Fourth of July Event is SOLD OUT. The special 3-Day ‘Fourth of July’ celebration will be taking place at The Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World.
On July 4th, 5th, and 6th, guests visiting the Walt Disney World Resort and have purchased tickets to the special Toy Story themed event, will be celebrating in style. With an array of foods, desserts, activities, and a great view of the nightly firework show it’s bound to be a rootin’ tootin’ good time!

Guests will be welcomed by Sarge, our favorite green army man, who will lead guests into Woody’s Roundup BBQ. Once inside the event you will be able to hang out with Woody, Jessie, and other friends from Toy Story, as you get to eat from a wide menu of entrees, snacks, and desserts. While you wait for the fireworks to start guests are welcome to enjoy other enterainment options including a DJ, balloon artists, Make-Your-Own Toy Station, carnival games, and the Trick Ropin’ Toy!

Who doesn’t love shopping?! Who doesn’t love shopping at Disney?! Epcot has your back with special pop-up merchandise shops that was just spotted at Epcot! For the month of April, Epcot will be hosting special pop-up merchandise at select locations around the park.
Let’s take a closer look at these limited-time shops! Starting April 1st through 4th guests visiting near Norway at The Fjording where they can visit artist Larry Dotson for a special signing. This pop-up merchandise event will be available from 12-7pm.
Continuing on with the special event also located at Norway at The Fjording is Laila Fragrances & Beauty. Occurring April 18th through 21st guests can visit with Laila Fragances & Beauty with a special appearance from Geir Ness from 12-6pm.
Mouse Gear will also be hosting a special pop-up merchandise! From April 19th through 20th guests can take part in a special Rebecca Hook Jewelry trunk show from Open to Close!!
Closing out the special pop-up merchandise event at Epcot will be a special signing from artist Larry Dotson. Located in Norway at The Puffin’s Roost, guests will be able to get a special signing from 12-7pm April 22nd through 26th.

According to a post on the Orlando Sentinel Virgin Trains (Formerly Brightline) will be building a new station near Walt Disney World as well as a station at the Orlando Airport.
Here is a quote from the President of Virgin Trains Patrick Goddard, “It’s our expectation to get it done and to build out to Disney.” “It is entirely conceivable that that can happen with the delivery of the Orlando Airport station.”
Construction is expected to take between 30 to 36 months.
Virgin Trains signed a letter of intent with Disney last year.
“We’ve had an excellent relationship with Walt Disney World,” Goddard said. “They are big supporters of our project.”
