New Restrooms Open at Epcot

New Restrooms Epcot

Changes are starting to appear around Epcot and this one is a welcome one!  The new restroom structure close to the entrance of the World Showcase is now open. If you turn right, the restrooms will be on your right before you even get to Canada, between Promenade Refreshments and Refreshment Port.

New Restrooms Open at Epcot

The old restrooms in this area were to the right of refreshment port and only had a few stalls on the women’s side.  I would always advise ladies to try to get to the UK if they could.

New Restrooms Open at Epcot

Although this may seem insignificant to some, it is nice to have new and bigger restrooms with all of the festivals that Epcot is hosting.  This is a welcome improvement and will be conveniently located near the new, temporary Starbucks.

We can’t wait to see what else is in store for Epcot!

Mouse Gears & Character Changes happening at Epcot

Epcot

Epcot

Changes are coming to Disney World starting next week to prepare for the new additions and future projects that will change the overall look and feel of Epcot. While many are just temporary moves we wanted to give you a heads up on what to expect…

Mouse Gear

On January 4th, 2020, Mouse Gear will have its final day of operation at its current location and will reopen in its temporary location in Innoventions East starting on January 5, 2020.

Epcot Character Spot

On January 5th, 2020, the character greetings in Innoventions West will close or move to new locations, including:

    • Mickey Mouse will greet Guests in the queue area of the Disney-Pixar Short Film Festival in the Imagination! pavilion
    • Minnie Mouse will greet Guests in the World Showcase Gazebo. As a result of Minnie’s move, Daisy will relocate to Future World East.
    • Goofy will greet Guests in the Main Entrance near Spaceship Earth.
    • Joy will greet Guests in the Imagination! pavilion, near Wreck-it Ralph in the ImageWorks area.
    • Sadness and Baymax will not be available to greet guests at this time.

Walt Disney once said Epcot “would always be in a state of becoming” – it is a place that changes with the times. So be patient while things move forward at my favorite park EPCOT!

Stormtrooper in Galaxy’s Edge Owns Guy With a Lightsaber

Galaxy's Edge Stormtroopers

Galaxy’s Edge, in both Walt Disney World and Disneyland, is a Star Wars fan’s playground, a place where imagination can run wild and the average human can wield a lightsaber as powerful as Darth Vader’s. Of course, even the greatest fantasies have their limitations. That’s what one visitor to Batuu learned the hard way when he met Kylo Ren and a couple of stormtroopers.

Thanks to the internet, people around the globe have been blessed with the footage of one unfortunate Star Wars enthusiast, wielding a lightsaber, who manages to get the attention of the dark lord. Kylo Ren sees him and says “A lightsaber? Interesting,” while one of the stormtroopers guarding Kylo gives the man a once-over. This is where all dreams of an epic battle die, as the stormtrooper proclaims “If there’s one Jedi left, it’s not you.” To add insult to injury, the second stormtrooper chimes with an “Affirmative.” The poor would-be-warrior hangs his head and lets the trio pass, but this video will serve as a testament to his attempt forever.

As Star Wars fans around the world grieve and/or celebrate the end of the Skywalker saga, many are flocking to the Black Spire Outpost and continuing to live out the adventure for themselves. Hopefully for most of them, encounters with familiar characters will go a little more smoothly than they did for this visitor. Whatever happens, we hope that the force will be with him.

New Details Revealed for 'Mighty Ducks' Series Coming Soon to Disney+

New Details Revealed for ‘Mighty Ducks’ Series Coming Soon to Disney+. Recently, The Illuminerdi shared new details about the planned Mighty Ducks Series coming to Disney+. We now know that the series will begin filming in Vancouver, Canada sometime in February 2020. The new Disney+ Original Series is predicted to be 10-episodes long, with a runtime of 30 mins per episode.

“The new Mighty Ducks Series will follow 13-year old Evan, who after being cut from the Mighty Ducks junior division team, gets an assist from his mother to assemble their own ragtag hockey squad. The show will then follow their recruitment efforts to find unlikely players, a coach, and even a place to play.”

Though not much is known about the protagonist of the Mighty Ducks Series, we do know a bit about two other characters that will be joining Evan.

“Adib Samitar/”Sam” is an 11 to 13 year old African American or Somali boy. Sam has mastered skateboard riding and always does things his way. The thrill-seeker rarely turns down a challenge, even deciding to befriend Evan after a violent collision on his trusty board. He joins the squad after realizing that he will be allowed to be a renegade.”

“Jaden Koobler/”Koob” is an 11 to 13 year old boy, who is said to be heavyset. Koob will never be mistaken for an Olympian, but instead is a hardcore video game player whose skin is pale from long hours of marathon gaming in his downstairs man cave. Though he rarely breaks focus from his monitors, he proves to have an almost superhuman level of dexterity and reflexes that are worthy of a kung-fu master. Koob is wary of joining the squad and will need to be dragged out of his safe space.”

At first glance these descriptions may not seem like much, but what we do know is that each member of this new team will have noticeable “shortcomings” that will ultimately come into play and become their greatest strengths, with the proper coaching of course.

Ryan Reynolds Confirms 'Deadpool 3' is in Production at Marvel Studios

Ryan Reynolds Confirms ‘Deadpool 3‘ is in Production at Marvel Studios. On Christmas Eve morning, Ryan Reynolds gave all of us an early Christmas present on Live with Kelly and Ryan. The Deadpool Star confirmed that Deadpool 3 is in pre-production at Marvel Studios which also confirms Deadpool’s next appearance will be in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)!

Ryan was also sporting his famed Christmas present sweater while delivering the news, making his die hard fans giggle. If you didn’t know, Reynolds was tricked by Hugh Jackman and Jake Gyllenhaal into wearing an “ugly Christmas sweater” to a Christmas Party in 2018, but when he arrived everyone else was dressed normally. The three even stood together for a photo that Ryan shared to his Instagram last December. Side Note: Ryan gifted a matching sweater to Hugh Jackman this year for Christmas, hehe.

You can watch Ryan’s full segment on Live with Kelly and Ryan below:

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is Now on Disney+

the last jedi

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is Now on Disney+

Every film in the Skywalker Saga is now on Disney+! Until recently, if you wanted to watch the main films in the Star Wars franchise, you could watch the first seven on Disney+ but then had to watch The Last Jedi on Netflix. Well, The Last Jedi has finally left Netflix and is now available to stream on Disney+.

Disney previously had a deal with Netflix to stream its new releases, including Marvel and Star Wars films. That deal ended at the beginning of 2019, but everything released by Disney studios through 2018 was given a streaming window on Netflix following its home release. Now that Disney+ has launched, and those previous streaming contracts are starting to expire, those movies are making their way to the service from Netflix. The only Star Wars movie still streaming on Netflix is Solo: A Star Wars Story.

One great benefit of The Last Jedi being available on Disney+ is the ability to watch some of the film’s special features. Disney+ has extras for every Star Wars movie on the service that you couldn’t see on Netflix since Netflix doesn’t own the movies.

There are several deleted scenes from The Last Jedi you can see on Disney+, all with commentary from writer/director Rian Johnson. There is also a feature commentary track from Johnson, along with a “score only” version of the film, which doesn’t feature any sound other than the score from composer John Williams.

Will you be watching The Last Jedi and some of the extra content on Disney+?

Photos: Disney Skyliner Emergency Info Posted in Gondola

The Disney Skyliner is still in its new stages and working out all of the kinks that come along with anything new.  With that said the Disney Skyliner Emergency info is now posted inside each of the gondolas.

While the emergency intercom and bags have already been inside of the gondolas, the call line is new.

Photos: Disney Skyliner Emergency Info Posted in Gondola

As you can see from the above picture, the emergency call box has been apart of the Disney Skyliner system.  This call box gives you the opportunity to speak directly with someone.

But, now the Disney Skyliner Emergency Info for guest services has been strategically placed above the call box.  While we are unsure of why a number was added, perhaps it was just added to ease guests.  Either way, it is always good to have a few different options to reach someone on the ground if needed.

As always, heed by all safety standards while on the Disney Skyliner and you will be just fine!

Does the addition of the new emergency info help ease any worries you may have?
