R2-D2 Roaming Around Batuu in Disneyland

R2-D2 Roaming Around Batuu in DisneylandStar Wars Galaxy’s edge was designed to make guests feel fully submerged in the land of Batuu.  You don’t even see the other rides and areas in the park while you are visiting The Black Spire. The thematic experience is truly out of this world, even down to the trash cans. Characters are roaming about the land from Chewbacca to smugglers, and stormtroopers. Matter of fact Chewie is in the background of my picture from last week, making you feel like you are right in the story.  The past few days in the Anaheim location there has been a fan favorite roaming around the planet, R2-D2 has been making appearances in part of a ”play test” as Disney is calling it.

He has been spotted around the Millennium Falcon, beep bopping and rolling away, while taking pictures with visitors.  This has been part of the innovation and design plan for Disney to have droids roaming the land.

R2-D2 Roaming Around Batuu in DisneylandCurrently you can spot a few stationary droid, and some in the droid depot, including a $25,000 remote controlled R2, but this will bring a new level of immersion to the land. Also a droid-driven coke stand has popped up, adding a unique way to get a refreshment.

We hope this means that R2 will stick around for guest interaction, and make way for other droids to start roaming the land as well. That is still uncertain as this is still in the testing phase, but Disney officials have mentioned that this has been part of the vision for the land from the start. Disney is constantly looking for new ways to fascinate guests in their experiences.

You Can Purchase an Inflatable Millennium Falcon for $10,000. Ever dreamed of owning the Millennium Falcon? Now is your chance! Magic Jump Inflatables have a new offering and it’s the most beautiful hunk of junk in the galaxy. Magic Jump Inflatables and Disney have collaborated to offer this unique “bounce house” experience with a price tag hovering around $10,000 USD.

You Can Purchase an Inflatable Millennium Falcon for $10,000

“Magic Jump’s official STAR WARS Millennium Falcon Hyperspace Jump Experience is the most unique inflatable attraction in the galaxy — and it’s unlike any playland, combo unit or obstacle course ever seen before. It’s an inflatable version of the Millennium Falcon, the legendary spaceship in Star Wars made famous by Han Solo and Chewbacca for its many adventures…and for famously making the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs.”

You Can Purchase an Inflatable Millennium Falcon for $10,000

“The exterior features a comprehensive application of the actual graphics of the Millennium Falcon’s armored hull, while the interior contains iconic features seen in Star Wars movies. Passengers will encounter a Chewbacca inflatable as they enter and an R2D2 inflatable replica and C-3PO graphic as they jump their way around the ship. Passengers will feel the rush as they imagine piloting the Millennium Falcon like Han Solo and Chewbacca as they explore the cockpit area; pretend to operate the cockpit’s master control panel with its gears, switches, and buttons; and eject themselves down a small slide. In the main cabin, they’ll come across inflatable pop-up obstacles such as a bunk, storage container, and holo-map where they can see a holographic-like rendering of the Death Star.  Passengers can step up to the laser cannon turret where they can pretend to defend against Imperial forces, and they can also pretend to play dejarik at the hologame table. The pièce de ré·sis·tance is the climber/slide in the center of the ship with ceiling hatch graphic showing explosive battle with a Star Destroyer and TIE fighters.”

‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ Star Teases Interest in Reboot. Actor David DeLuise who portrayed the Russo’s father, Jerry Russo, teased fans with a fan made Wizards of Waverly Place promo photo along with photos from his time on the series and asked, “You guys want a reboot? Let’s do this !!”

Wizards of Waverly Place easily became a hit Disney Channel Series in 2007 and ran through 2012 as a series, with a television special surprising fans in early 2013. The series starred Selena Gomez as Alex Russo, David Henry as Justin Russo, Jake T. Austin as Max Russo, Jennifer Stone as Harper Finkle, Maria Canal Barrera as Theresa Russo, and David DeLuise as Jerry Russo.

“Alex Russo and her brothers Justin and Max come from a long line of wizards and now must master their newly learned powers or lose them forever. Their dad, Jerry, gave up his powers when he married their mortal mom, Theresa. The family business is Waverly Sub Station in busy Manhattan, and the three young wizards get into all sorts of crazy situations as they grow up facing typical teen challenges like school, friends, family and magic.”

With other popular Disney Channel Series getting reboots such as That’s So Raven and Lizzie McGuire, it makes total sense that the cast and fans are onboard to see The Russo’s reunite for a new season or series. Many fans have even presented the idea of the reboot being streamed via Disney’s new streaming service, Disney+.

There is no word from Disney or the cast about the potential reboot of the series, but we LOVE the idea of a reboot for Wizards of Waverly Place!

New Styles From The Vera Bradley Mickey Paisley Collection

Earlier this fall Vera Bradley released an exclusive collection with Disney that was a beautiful blend of Mickey, Disney castles, and Paisley. The Vera Bradley Mickey Paisley Collection was absolutely gorgeous, and it looks like a few new styles in that print are now available!

Vera Bradley Mickey Paisley

Disney Springs showcased three new styles on twitter, including an umbrella just in time for rainy days. Just like the original styles, these feature Mickey Mouse, and the Disney Castle amongst a swirl of vibrant paisleys.

The sling pack is great for on the go while touring the Disney Parks, or even running errands around town. It offers lots of pockets, and comfortably sits across the body.

There is also a smaller crossbody bag that is just too cute. I love a bag like this for lunch with friends, or date night.
