Jamba in Downtown Disney Re-Opens

Your one stop for on-the-go freshly blended fruit and vegetable smoothies, Jamba, celebrated its re-opening in the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort. The celebration came after a brief renovation and included a ribbon-cutting led by Rafa Barron, one of the Disneyland Resort Ambassadors, along with a deejay, games and giveaways, plus the delicious smoothies you know and enjoy!

Jamba’s new design was inspired by its local juice shop roots. The store now has modern touches of light wood and colorful environmental elements that create the perfect backdrop for your favorite menu items. There is also a fun interactive light board and eight digital screens displaying the menu. The menu showcases the real ingredients going into every made-to-order smoothie, juice, or bowl. There’s also an online order pick-up area for Jamba mobile app users!

Jamba features a menu that offers something for everyone! From made-to-order smoothies to delicious bowls, fresh-squeezed juices and on-the-go bites and breakfast sandwiches, you’re sure to love whatever you get. Besides the full Jamba menu, this location also offers fresh fruit and vegetable cups, wraps, sandwiches, and salads.

Cast of ‘Frozen 2‘ Test Their Memory With Ultimate ‘Frozen‘ Trivia Quiz. Recently, the cast of ‘Frozen 2‘ sat down with Popsugar to take the “Ultimate Frozen Trivia Quiz.” Shockily, quite a bit of the film seems to stump the cast, but when thinking about their individual roles, it’s fairly easy to see why they may not know about certain characters and moments from the film.

It’s not like they are all busy or anything being famous and working on other projects right? Totally easy to remember facts from your job nearly a decade ago, I say, written in a very sarcastic tone.

Disney Rumored to Bring Back Johnny Depp For New ‘Pirates of the Caribbean‘ Film. Before you break out into your best half-memorized but full-hearted rendition of “Yo ho a Pirates Life for Me”, please note this is merely a rumor at this time.

That being said, supposed “intel” states that Disney is looking to bring Johnny Depp as Captain Jack Sparrow back on board for the next Pirates of the Caribbean film, only this time in a supporting role, rather than the films protagonist. The next Pirates film will follow the adventures of a female pirate, likely the highly favored mysterious character commonly referred to as “Redd.”

Redd is a revitalized version of the red headed woman that was featured in the old bride auction scene of the beloved Pirates of the Caribbean attraction at the Disney Parks around the world, who has since been re-imagined to be the Captain of the motley crew that lines the docks of the attractions.

Disney has been making a conscious effort to be more inclusive and give audiences more relatable characters to inspire and share fantastic and magical stories of adventure, romance, and more, and it looks like they aim to do the same on the high seas.

As stated before, this is merely a rumor at this time with zero confirmation by Disney, but Johnny Depp’s return would be a triumphant one after the scathing slander he took publicly from his ex-wife, and if the rumors be true, well then “drink up me ‘earties, Yo ho!”

Marvel Fans are Torn Over Rumor that Henry Cavill Will Play Wolverine in ‘Captain Marvel 2‘. Rumors have been swirling that Superman himself, Henry Cavill, will be hanging up his cape and taking up the claws of X-Men’s Wolverine. Though there is no merit or stock to these rumors, the idea has fans buzzing online.

We do know a character from X-Men is set to appear initially as a villain in the highly anticipated sequel to Captain Marvel, but Marvel has yet to announce which character is expected to appear within the film. So why is Wolverine the rumored appearance?

There are a few moments throughout Marvel Comics where Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel) and Logan (Wolverine) team up for some epic crime fighting, but with the minimal interaction within the comics it makes sense for Marvel Studios to look at this as an opportunity to bring the X-Men into the Marvel Cinematic Universe without causing major upset by hard core fans of the comics by ruining any cherished story lines.

Marvel has had some major success exploring lesser known origins and storylines (Hello, Guardians of the Galaxy) so it is completely possible that they are hoping this is a recipe for success in Phase 5 of the MCU and will allow for an organic merger.

Director of ‘Monsters at Work’ Says the Series Won’t Be on Disney+ Until 2021

Director of ‘Monsters at Work‘ Says the Series Won’t Be on Disney+ Until 2021. Recently, Monsters at Work Director, Stephen Anderson, spoke with the folks at the Without a Mouse podcast and shared that the highly anticipated animated series has been postponed for release until “Spring 2021” despite rumors that we could see the series as early as March of this year.

Anderson also confirmed the series will have 10 episodes and will include the return of prior cast members from both Disney-Pixar’s Monsters Inc. and Monsters University.

A premise for the series shared that Monsters at Work takes place 6 months after the events of Monsters Inc. and will follow the journey of the monster world adapting to using laughter energy instead of scream energy. The shows protagonist, Tylor Tuskmon, is a recent graduate from MU and was Monsters University’s Top Scarer for his graduating class, but what will Tylor do with his now “useless” degree?

The cast includes the return of many iconic characters, as well as some newcomers to the franchise. Cast for the series so far includes: Billy Crystal (Mike), John Goodman (Sully), Ben Feldman (Tylor Tuskmon), John Ratzenberger (Yeti), Jennifer Tilly (Celia Mae), Bob Peterson (Roz), Kelly Marie Tran (Val Little), Henry Winkler, Lucas Neff, Alanna Ubach (Cutter), Stephen Stanton (Needleman) and Aisha Tyler.

Disney Producer Shares Why Li Shang Will Not Appear In Live-Action ‘Mulan‘. Producer Jason Reed recently spoke with Collider regarding Disney’s latest live-action remake, Mulan. Reed shared why Disney chose to go in a new direction with the film and remove some key characters, particularly the absence of fan favorite character and love interest in the 1998 animated film, Li Shang.

“We split Li Shang into two characters. One became Commander Tung (Donnie Yen) who serves as her surrogate father and mentor in the course of the movie. The other is Honghui (Yoson An) who is [Mulan’s] equal in the squad,” he shared. “I think particularly in the time of the #MeToo movement, having a commanding officer that is also the sexual love interest was very uncomfortable and we didn’t think it was appropriate.”

There we have it! Disney seems to be making an effort to be more conscientious about the stories they share and looking for ways to bring new material to the retelling of their classic tales to keep audiences both entertained and surprised. New “Wonders Of The Deep” Poster For Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway!

We are just days away from the grand opening of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway!

And to continue the poster countdown, today we have “Wonders of the Deep”! Where we can see Mickey, Donald and Goofy with Professor Von Drake and an unusual sea friend during a submarine voyage.

The short show us Mickey and his friends as they go on a submarine adventure to explore the wonders of the deep guided by Professor Von Drake. What starts as a kind of a boring journey turns into an exciting adventure when Mickey asks the Professor to show them more rare sea creatures like the Kraken! Take a look as they explore the depths of the ocean here!

On March 4 you will be able to get immerse in Mickey’s Cartoon universe like you have never seen it before! During your adventure you will be part of Mickey Mouse short “Perfect Picnic” that’ll take you on a wacky and unpredictable adventure aboard a train with Goofy as the engineer.

Riptide Race Construction Update At Aquatica Orlando

We were recently invited to Aquatica Orlando to check out the construction on their new slide Riptide Race. This slide is expected to open in spring 2020 and when it does it will be Florida’s first dueling water slide!

As you can see construction is still happening to add the final slide pieces to the tower. Once complete Riptide Race will be Aquatica Orlando’s second-largest slide tower at 68 feet tall. Even though this tower is tall, it is a family-friendly slide with a height requirement of 42 inches tall. Riders will expereince all 650 feet of slide via a two person raft. However, if you have a group thats an odd number, single riders can be accomidated on this slide. This ensures everyone will be able to experience Riptide Race.

What makes this slide unique not only to Aquatica, but also Florida as a whole is the dueling aspect. The green colored pieces of the slide feature lower walls where youll be able to see the guests in the raft next to you. This will bring the element that each ride will be a whole new experience!

Riptide Race will end in more of a splash pad format rather than a pool. This will allow an easier time to exit the experince for most guests. This really continues to add to its family friendly format.

Additionally Aquatica Orlando will also be additing its first full service bar, Motu’s Bar! Motu is the turtle mascot you may notice around the park. Adults will be able to grab a drink and relax at the beach area. This bar will also feature some appitizers to go with the drinks.

Disney Ice Cream Varieties That You Can Find At Your Local Grocer

Once upon a time, you had to go to the Disney Parks to enjoy fun Disney inspired ice creams. Now, it’s as simple as heading to your local grocer, and now there are so many Disney Ice Cream varieties you can find! The new line of frozen treats started out with the delicious Mickey Ice Cream Bars, and has continued to expand.

When the Mickey Ice Cream Bars came out last year, it was an internet sensation. Countless Disney fans rushed to their local grocers to find these adorable looking snacks. That also looked just like the iconic ice cream bars from the Disney Parks. It was a great way to bring back the nostalgia of the parks, while sitting in our backyards. Sure we had seen themed ice creams to tie into new movies for marketing, but now we had something that was inspired by the parks! There was also the Ample Hills ice creams, but those were hard to get!

Ice scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!

Last year we also saw Toy Story 4 and Frozen 2 inspired ice cream cartons. It looks like we can find some fun Disney and Pixar ice cream flavors now, that don’t tie into any new movies! You can find cartons of Mickey Mouse, The Incredibles, Monsters INC, and Finding Nemo inspired flavors now!

In addition to the Mickey ice cream bars, we can now find another Disney Parks inspired treat, Mickey Ice Cream Sandwiches! They aren’t as close to the original as the ice cream bars are, but they are still quite yummy!

You can also get Millenium Falcon shaped ice cream sandwiches! These aren’t at the Disney Parks, but honestly, they should be!

Recently we also happened upon Mickey and Minnie ice cream cups! These are perfect for an after school snack, or even serving at a Disney inspired birthday party!

With so many great Disney Ice Cream choices, it’s hard to decide which ones to get first! Which ones are you most excited to try?

What’s new and upcoming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Disney’s Hollywood Studios is on a roll.

As part of a historic multiyear transformation, the Walt Disney World Resort theme park has unveiled a years-long string of smash hits that would make any movie studio jealous, inviting guests inside some of their favorite stories. Now a new family-friendly adventure is about to begin as Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway readies its grand premiere, March 4, 2020, inside the park’s re-creation of the Chinese Theatre.

That majestic theater has stood at the heart of the park since its opening day on May 1, 1989, when Disney’s Hollywood Studios gave guests a behind-the-scenes look at moviemaking. The park has since evolved into a place that envelops guests in even more immersive experiences – from exploring a new planet in the Star Wars galaxy to playing like a toy with Woody and Buzz Lightyear to learning from Lightning McQueen how to be a champion racer, and much more.

Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway is a crowning achievement in this transformation, bringing guests into the wacky world of a “Mickey Mouse” cartoon where “mouse rules apply” and anything can happen. Anything can happen aboard Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, where guests burst through the movie screen and join Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and pals on a wacky adventure. This first ride-through attraction themed to Mickey and Minnie features dazzling visual effects, a lovable new theme song and surprising twists and turns that are fun for the entire family.

The newly reimagined Mickey Shorts Theater debuts March 4, 2020, with a one-of-a-kind animated short featuring Mickey and Minnie, “Vacation Fun,” celebrating those true originals’ favorite vacation memories, plus a few new adventures. “Vacation Fun” is exclusive to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and includes new animation as well as clips from favorite “Mickey Mouse” cartoon shorts. After the show, guests can make even more memories by stepping into life-sized versions of beloved animated “Mickey Mouse” shorts, where they can pose for photos with family and friends.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is an expansive and immersive experience that transports guests to the distant planet of Batuu, where they live their own Star Wars adventures inside a 14-acre land. Guests join a climactic battle between the Resistance and the First Order in Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and take the controls of the most famous ship in the galaxy in Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. A new table-service restaurant will debut later in 2020 inside Toy Story Land. Roundup Rodeo BBQ Restaurant will invite guests to a rootin’, tootin’ rodeo right in Andy’s backyard. New Treats at Disneyland to Celebrate ‘Magic Happens’ Parade

Some delicious new treats have arrived at Disneyland to celebrate the new ‘Magic Happens‘ daytime parade which debuted yesterday. These tasty treats are all available on Main Street U.S.A. so you can enjoy them while you watch the spectacular parade go by.

At Gibson Girl Ice Cream you will find a deliciously sweet afternoon treat – the Dulce de Leche Sundae! It comes served in a waffle bowl with a double scoop of dulce de leche ice cream topped with bananas, caramel, a Mickey sugar cookie, whipped cream, and a cherry.

At Refreshment Corner you can get the Esquite Hot Dog – a foot-long hot dog with crushed corn chips and corn esquite mix topped with cotija cheese and chili-cayenne powder and served with your choice of chips or fresh fruit.

At Jolly Holiday Bakery Café, you’ll find another savory item, the Island Pork Toasted Sandwich with Black Forest ham, kalua smoked pork, Monterey Jack cheese, pineapple relish, and cilantro served with house-made chips.

Also at Jolly Holiday Bakery, you can get some sweet treats! The Royal Cupcake, a vanilla cupcake with buttercream icing, and the Dia de los Muertos Hand Pie with guava filling. Both look and sound amazing!

In addition to those treats, there’s a new dining package available at Plaza Inn. You can enjoy a delicious lunch at Plaza Inn before experiencing reserved viewing for “Magic Happens.” All packages include one lunch entrée, one beverage, one Plaza Inn credential, and one voucher that provides access to the parade’s reserved viewing area. For adults, the entrée includes slow-cooked short rib with chimichurri, chicken thigh fried to a golden brown, pesto-infused mashed potatoes, roasted seasonal vegetables, corn relish, and dessert. The kid’s meal includes fried chicken tenders, mashed potatoes, corn relish, their choice of applesauce or baby carrots, and dessert, as well as their choice of a small Dasani water or small lowfat milk. Vegetarian options are also available upon request.
