The Disney Eats Kitchen Collection Is Now Back At Target

New Trash Cans Introduced to Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Who knew trash cans could be exciting? They are if it means Disney is taking part in trying to keep our planet beautiful!

New Trash Cans Introduced to Disney's Animal Kingdom

We spotted these NEW trash cans over in Disney’s Animal Kingdom today! There are three different bins- each designated for particular items (trash, recycling, and compost).

The bins are clearly labeled, with images on the front to help guests know which items should be placed in each can.

The “trash bins” are for waste such as packets, wrappers, and packaging.

The designated “recycle” bins are for bottles, cans, and cartons.

And, finally, the “compost” bins are designated for all cups, food, and service-wear.

Chewbacca lands at the Lego Store in Downtown Disney

The LEGO store in Downtown Disney has a new arrival!

Guests can come check out the new Chewbacca LEGO Model now through March 1st, 2021.

Designed with kids in mind, this bright, welcoming space is awash in creative possibilities and endless ways to play.

The country’s second-largest LEGO Store―only surpassed by the Disney Springs location in Orlando, Florida―is a fanciful space filled with impressive displays and a huge selection of LEGO products.

Both inside and outside the store, you’ll be dazzled by life-sized Disney characters lovingly rendered in LEGO, from a fire-breathing Maleficent to Belle and the Beast preparing to take the dance floor.

Here’s some of what LEGO has in store for you:

Pick-a-Brick Wall – This enormous display of LEGO components makes it easy to find what you’re looking for. With help from a LEGO assistant, select specific LEGO bricks, elements and mini-figures in a variety of colors and shapes. Buy only one brick or an assortment for your next creation.
Brand Ribbon – Follow this display around the perimeter of the store to discover cool LEGO model displays, fun facts and key moments in LEGO history.

EARresistible Hidden Mickey Succulent Cupcakes You Can Make At Home!

Succulents have become a popular house plant lately, but what if we make them sweeter? Check out these Hidden Mickey Succulent Cupcakes recipe we have for you!

They are fun and perfect to welcome Spring! Plus they are really easy to make, so you and your family can spend a day baking these tasty treats and adding your own personal touch to them. Everyone will love them for sure!

HIDDEN MICKEY SUCCULENT CUPCAKES

INGREDIENTS:

1 cup of frosting
Green, yellow, and taupe gel food coloring
Piping bags
Piping tips (#16 and #101)
Parchment paper
Piping nail
Cupcake liners

INSTRUCTIONS:

Divide the frosting into 4 bowls. Tint 3 of them various shades of green, using more or less of the yellow food coloring. Then, tint the last bowl taupe.
Place a batch of the green frosting in a piping bag fitted with tip #101.

Put a dab of frosting on the piping nail and place a square of parchment on top.
Pipe the design with the wider part of the tip near the parchment paper and the narrower part on top.

Pipe a mound of frosting on the parchment paper and then start piping the petals in a circular motion, rotating the piping nail as you go.

Once the flower shape is complete, slide the parchment paper off the nail and place it on a small baking tray. To create the Mickey design, you will need 1 large flower for the face and 2 smaller ones to form the ears.
Repeat piping instructions with the different shades of green frosting. Once all the designs have been piped, place the tray in the freezer for 2 hours for the designs to firm.

Using half to the taupe frosting, spread the frosting over the cupcakes until they are level.
Once the succulent flowers are frozen, gently peel them off of the parchment paper and place them on the cupcakes to form a Mickey design.

Fit a piping bag with tip #16 and add the taupe frosting. Pipe small decorative designs onto the empty spaces.

Assembly Required Hosts Richard Karn, Tim Allen and April Wilkerson

Tim Allen and Richard Karn Reunited in New Building Series called ‘Assembly Required’. Tim Allen and Richard Karn are set to co-host alongside newcomer and co-host April Wilkerson in a new series for The History Channel that featuring builders across America, akin to the premise of the fictional series “Tool Time” featured in the popular television series Home Improvement that also starred Tim Allen (Tim Taylor) and Richard Karn (Al Borland).

The synopsis of the series shares:

“Assembly Required reunites Tim Allen with Richard Karn in this new competition series that spotlights the best and brightest builders from across the country, at their home workshops, as they compete to breathe new life into everyday household items in desperate need of fixing. This new series will push each contestant to their limits while testing their ability and ingenuity to not only rebuild it but to build it better. In each episode, Allen and Karn will also dive into the unique history around these items to celebrate the men and women who crafted them, and the techniques used.“

Assembly Required is Tim Allen’s next big project after the series wrap on the hit Fox series, Last Man Standing. The new series will premiere on The History Channel on February 23, 2021 at 10pm EST/9pm C. Check out the trailer below for Assembly Required:

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Considering a Presidential Run in the Future. During a recent interview with USA Today, Dwayne Johnson, aka “The Rock” shared insight into his new NBC series “Young Rock” which features family friendly versions of key points throughout the wrestler and actors life that led him to where he is today. In the series we also get to see The Rock running for President of the United States. Though this has not come to fruition yet, Johnson had teased he was thinking about running in the last election, but is still willing to run in future elections if voters pushed for him to become a presidential candidate.

Dwayne shared a post to Instagram that shared a news piece saying 46% of American’s would be in support of Dwayne Johnson running for President according to a recent poll. Johnson responded, “Humbling ???
I don’t think our Founding Fathers EVER envisioned a six-four, bald, tattooed, half-Black, half-Samoan, tequila drinking, pick up truck driving, fanny pack wearing guy joining their club – but if it ever happens it’d be my honor to serve you, the people ??????”

Dwayne previously told USA Today, “I would consider a presidential run in the future if that’s what the people wanted,” he continued. “Truly I mean that, and I’m not flippant in any way with my answer. Cara Dune is NOT Expected to be Recast After Gina Carano Firing. Merely minutes after the news that Gina Carano was fired from Lucasfilm and dropped by UTA Talent Agency Star Wars fans began sharing their recast choices online for the fan favorite role of Cara Dune in The Mandalorian and upcoming spin-off series.

Lead fan castings included actresses such as Lana Parrilla, Lucy Lawless, and wrestler Sonya Deville, but sadly Lucasfilm has announced there are no plans to recast the role for The Mandalorian or any other Star Wars projects down the line. Gina’s action also led to Hasbro cancelling the production of Cara Dune based merchandise including iconic Star Wars action figures.

Lucasfilm’s original statement regarding Carano’s firing “Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future. Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.”

Lucasfilm has not shared how they plan to have Cara Dune exit The Mandalorian series and is restructuring the upcoming series, Rangers of the New Republic which would have been co-led by Carano.

Disney Parks: Pirates of The Caribbean Skeleton Funko Coming soon

There’s an epic Disney Funko Pop figure coming out soon! It features a pirate skeleton sitting on top of his gold treasure. This special Pirates of the Caribbean Pop is phenomenal for Disney Parks fans. The Skeleton on Gold Pile is a Deluxe figure that also glows in the dark! You can take a closer look at this figure in Funko’s announcement below.

There’s no details yet on when this Pop will release or what the retail price will be. But we will post an update as soon as more information becomes available! If we were to guess, it’s looking like we might see it come to Disney Parks in early March since it’s mentioned for Funko’s Virtual Emerald City Con.

But wait, there’s more! Funko is also releasing several other Disney Pop figures next month.

Disney’s Beauty and the Beast celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. Funko is recognizing this milestone in Disney Animation by releasing a new variant of Belle.

Remember the 90’s Disney Afternoon cartoon shows? Well, you might be happy to see the Green Ogre from Disney’s Gummi Bears is coming soon, too!

Another major milestone is Disney’s Alice in Wonderland, which celebrates its 60th Anniversary this year. There are several Alice in Wonderland Pop figures coming this year, but now we’re thrilled to share the addition of the Caterpillar to this toy line.

Plus, let’s not forget to mention this Darkwing Duck game!

New Permit filed for construction on Splash Mountain

Disney continues to improve guest experiences at the theme parks through refurbishments and maintenance. Now it looks like the next major attraction to receive maintenance is Magic Kingdom’s Splash Mountain.

Disney has filed a permit through its internal construction firm, Buena Vista Construction Company. The permit is “to provide, material and/or electrical for construction.” Even though Disney plans to retheme the attraction, it seems unlikely they’ll start on that transformation anytime soon. The permit is indicating general maintenance, which is typical for the attraction during this time of the year.

Guests will continue to enjoy the current log ride attraction for 2021 at least. In the meantime, many Disney fans are eager to see the eventual retheming of the attraction.

Making way for something new helps create new memories and experiences. Having an attraction for The Princess and the Frog would help a new generation of Disney fans find joy. After all, the movie recently celebrated its 10th anniversary a few months ago and the characters are already considered great new additions to the Disney library. Seeing new visuals, animatronics, and music to delight Disney Parks fans is always good news. We’re sure the future attraction will become a new favorite for guests going on their Disney vacations!
