Sea Turtle Cupcake debuts on April 5th at Restaurantosaurus at Animal Kingdom. We here at ChipandCo.com asked Crush himself for a quote and what we heard back was “Oh, I saw the whole thing, dude! First, you were like, whoa! And then we were like, WHOA! And then you were like, whoa.” So we then asked if he was talking about the new cupcake in honor of Earth Month, his response confounded us “Oh, man. Hey, no hurling on the shell, dude, okay? Just waxed it.”

We had no clue what he was talking about. This is why you don’t have a conversation with a turtle who may or may not be a hippie surfer. We will be headed to the parks on the 5th to try it for ourselves. Righteous!

The new Sea Turtle Cupcake is described as Graham cracker cupcake, key lime pie filling, and guava gelée with vanilla buttercream topped with a fruit snack sea turtle (available through April 5-29)

Adorable Winnie The Pooh Easter Baskets DIY!

Easter is just a few days away, get ready to celebrate it with this easy DIY: Winnie the Pooh Easter Baskets!

These adorable baskets can have multiple uses, you can gift it to someone with Easter goodies inside or use it as storage! Either way they will so good in your home.

Making them is super easy, all you have to do is follow this easy DIY from Disney Family:

WINNIE THE POOH EASTER BASKETS

SUPPLIES:

Wicker baskets
Paint brushes
Pencil
Scissors
Hot glue
Yellow paint
Dark brown and yellow felt
Orange paint
Orange, dark brown, cream and pink felt
Pink paint
Pink and dark brown felt

INSTRUCTIONS:

Paint one basket yellow, one basket orange, and one basket pink. Let dry completely.

For Pooh, draw a triangle nose, two circle for eyes, eyebrows and a curved line for above his nose onto dark brown felt. Cut out shapes.

For Tigger, draw two circles for eyes, two thick arches for eyebrows, and whisker shapes onto the dark brown felt. Draw two Tigger ears onto orange felt. On cream felt, draw a larger, rounded rectangle and a smaller, rounded rectangle for the base of Tigger’s eyes and nose. You’ll also need two circles of cream to fit inside his orange ears. Finally, draw a triangle nose on pink felt. Cut out shapes.

For Piglet, draw two tall triangle ears and one triangle nose onto pink felt. Draw two circles for eyes, and two eyebrows onto the dark brown felt. Cut out shapes.
When paint on the baskets are completely dry, hot glue the felt shapes on the baskets.

Glue the Pooh face shapes on the yellow basket.
For Tigger, glue the face shapes on the orange basket.
Glue the Piglet face shapes on the pink basket.

Done! Happy Easter!

Aulani a Disney Resort & Spa now accepting Bookings for 2022

Aulani, a Disney Resort and Spa in Hawaii is now accepting bookings for 2022!

Aulani reopened to guests last November. Some experiences are not available to due COVID-19 but the magic has returned! Guests are required to wear face coverings while on property and physical distancing measures are in place.

Aulani’s amazing Luau, KA WA’A has returned to the resort. Characters can still be seen around the resort. Disney even launched a new app for Aulani to help guests plan their stay.

If you’d like to book your 2022 Aulani trip, keep in mind your check out day cannot be more than 499 days in the future. Also, Hawaii requires proof of negative COVID-19 prior to entering the state.

Celebrate the flavors of Florida this April with the all-new Gideon’s Bakehouse Cookie of the Month, the Orange Pecan Chocolate Chip Cookie!

Here is more information from Gideon’s Bakehouse on Facebook:

This recipe was brought to our doorstep by the Florida “Orange Boy,” Stuart Valencia, whose legend dates back over 100 years. Our vanilla bean Cookie dough is fused with Orange and mixed with our favorite Dark Chocolates.

To add some crunch, the exterior is covered in delightful South Florida Pecan Pralines and a very special Candied Orange Peel, given to us by Stuart himself. We can only speculate about their origin, but he assures us they’re organic.

For those in the know, you can simply call this one Stuart’s Cookie.

Disney on Ice returns and coming to a city near you!

Disney on Ice shut down back in February due to a COVID-19 outbreak, the Kansas City Health department canceled the remaining shows as a way to protect Kansas City families and residents attending the Disney on Ice show.

A statement was issued at the time by Feld Entertainment:

Feld Entertainment regrets that the remaining performances of Feld Entertainment presents Disney On Ice scheduled to take place at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City have been canceled.

The wellness of Feld Entertainment’s customers, crew and the T-Mobile Center’s staff was not at risk. Feld Entertainment’s established COVID-19 protocols were developed based on CDC guidelines and public health recommendations. Feld Entertainment touring units follow all applicable guidance and/or mandates from government authorities that are intended to slow the spread of COVID-19. The safety of tour personnel, our guests and everyone involved in the production of the shows is the top priority. All impacted personnel will remain in isolation/quarantine per CDC guidelines. Disney nuiMOs are the newest Disney collectible craze! Each month new outfits, characters, or both debut, and in April we will see the launch of Winnie The Pooh nuiMOs, plus two new outfit collections! Four friends from the Hundred Acre Woods will be getting the nuiMOs makeover, and they’re as sweet as hunny.

Pooh Bear, Tigger, Eeyore, and also Piglet will be walking the runway into our hearts on April 5th! These four friends are fully bendable like the rest of the nuiMOs plush and ready to get dressed up in all of the new outfits! Zach King gets into a Little Mischief in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter

Zach King is a popular filmmaker and illusionist and he recently took his skills to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter to get into some mischief. His video is full of magic and it’s easy to see why he’s so popular. The edits are so well done and the video is just so much fun.

The first time we see Zach he is riding in on a broom and it just keeps getting better. The ideas are so creative from having the Gringotts dragon set the map on fire to the Butterbeer barrel rolling away.

Zach really captures the magic and fun of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. He does a great job of promoting the shops and attractions but doing so in a way that doesn’t look like another commercial or forced. It definitely makes me want to visit the Wizarding World.

Disney World to remove all plastic silverware from theme parks

April is Earth Month and in celebration, Disney World is making an eco-friendly decision to remove all plastic silverware from their Florida theme parks starting today.

A few years back Disney decided to remove all plastic straws from the theme parks in an effort to protect wildlife, especially at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Guests could still ask for straws but they were no longer front and center at most quick-service restaurants. Some places like La Cava del tequila came up with replacement straws made with agave nectar instead of plastic. Love them! You can get your own reusable straws here.

Back in 2019 the Disney Store and many of the shops at Walt Disney World began the removal of plastic bags instead encouraging guests to use reusable bags as a way to save the environment. Who doesn’t have about a million of them at their house?

With the popularity of items like the spork (only $10.99) from Star Wars Galaxy’s edge and recently the all-new Disney Parks reusable bamboo utensils, it was an easy transition to removing plastic silverware from all theme parks.

So starting today Disney World is going to remove all plastic silverware from the theme parks and encourage guests to bring their own. I found some nice bamboo ones on Amazon here, or you can pick up the Disney Parks reusable ones that come with a nice carrying pouch.

For those guests visiting a sit-down restaurant there will be a .98 cent surcharge to use Disney’s metal silverware. This is for maintaining and upkeep of these items.

With the increased handwashing and hand sanitizers around the theme parks, the spread of germs is pretty much non-existent so plastic silverware is not really needed anymore. Who really uses a fork to eat Mickey Popcorn?

For those guests visiting events like Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival and the upcoming Food and Wine Festival Disney is allowing those more eco-friendly guests to opt-out of using plates instead Disney Chefs will place the food items in your hands where you could just eat and go. Talk about convenience!

The removal of plastic silverware at the theme parks will save the company millions of dollars and prevent waste at local landfills. There is no information if this eco-friendly change will be coming to Disneyland when they reopen on April 30th!

Actor Mark Hamill is certainly appreciative of his fans and how children are thrilled with his Luke Skywalker character. The Star Wars actor has recently made efforts to bring joy to the young patients of Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Mark Hamill visited patients virtually via Zoom and read a special book, Darth Vader and Son,by Jeffrey Brown, to young patients at the hospital. He also had some fun doing the voices of Yoda, Darth Vader, and Joker.

McGregor was last seen in the franchise with 2005’s Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith. Even after all these years, Star Wars fans are hoping to see him reprise the role as Kenobi in the 15 years since that movie’s release. But they’ll soon get their wish!

“Obi-Wan Kenobi,” the new Disney+ series starring Ewan McGregor as the Jedi Master, will begin shooting in April. It’s after Kenobi faced his greatest defeat, the downfall and corruption of Anakin Skywalker turned evil Sith Lord Darth Vader.
