The combination of teal and gold gracefully evokes the lush Scottish landscapes, Merida’s royal heritage, and the rich tapestries found in DunBroch, all while maintaining the premium aesthetic Disney Cruise Line is known for.

And this year’s performance lineup? Let’s just say Santa outdid himself.

Disney Expands Airport Luggage Transfer to Include Southwest Arrivals at Orlando International Airport

Travel days are about to feel a little more magical again for Walt Disney World guests flying into Orlando International Airport (MCO). Starting November 18, 2025, Disney is expanding its airport luggage transfer pilot program to include guests arriving on Southwest Airlines—bringing back a bit of that seamless convenience fans have missed since the retirement of Magical Express.

Disney World Expands Luggage Transfer Service to Include Southwest Arrivals at MCO

Skip Baggage Claim, Head Straight to the Magic
Here’s how it works: guests arriving on domestic Southwest flights can now skip the chaos of baggage claim entirely. Through a partnership with BagCheck, luggage will be collected directly after your flight and transported to your Disney Resort hotel. Your bags follow behind you while you head straight for the resort buses or Minnie Vans—no carousel waiting required.

The new arrival-side luggage transfer mirrors the existing departure program that launched earlier this year for Disney Value Resorts. That service allowed guests to check bags at their hotel for direct transfer back to MCO and their departing Southwest flight. Now, the magic flows both ways.

Invitations Landing Soon
Guests staying at participating Disney Resort hotels and flying Southwest will receive email invitations outlining the new arrival-side process. The emails note that registration opens 30 days prior to travel and closes five days before departure, ensuring that your luggage info is tagged and ready for smooth transport.

Airport Luggage Transfer

Disney hasn’t confirmed which resorts will be included yet, but since the outbound pilot began with the Value Resorts, it’s likely those locations will lead the way again. Expect expansions to moderate and deluxe resorts once Disney gathers more guest feedback.

A Step Toward the Return of Full-Service Magic
While this isn’t a full comeback for Disney’s Magical Express, it’s a solid nod to its spirit. Guests will once again enjoy that “hands-free” arrival experience, courtesy of a collaboration between Disney, Southwest Airlines, and BagCheck.

So pack your Minnie ears and relax—Disney’s working to make your journey to the magic as effortless as the vacation itself.

First Look at Pirates Themed Cask & Cannon Pub Aboard Disney Destiny

IMG
At Cask & Cannon aboard the Disney Destiny, guests join the ranks of the “Pirates of the Caribbean” for an evening of revelry, recreation and — of course — rum. Inspired by the iconic characters and scenes from the beloved Disney Parks attractions around the world, the new pub offers an extensive menu of rare, specialty and vintage rums and a selection of “bootlegged” brews developed specially for the venue. (Disney)

Cask & Cannon Pub Revealed! Get a Look at the New Pirate Bar on the Disney Destiny

Ahoy, mateys! Hold onto your tankards as we reveal the Cask & Cannon, the pirate-themed pub coming to the Disney Destiny. Inspired by the classic Pirates of the Caribbean, this lively new location promises a rollicking good time and a stash of spirited libations!

Cask

A nostalgic salute to the beloved Disney Parks attractions from around the world, this eclectic yet cozy lounge is outfitted with a mismatched collection of “acquired” (AKA pillaged and plundered) furnishings and antiques, presumably procured during the pirates’ countless voyages.

IMG

From treasure maps and fishing nets to barrel stools, rum bottles, and skull-and-crossbones insignias, nautical motifs and pirate iconography have been thoughtfully integrated into the design. The interior of the venue is decked out in wooden planks — evoking the interior of a sea-worn ship — and a trove of Easter Eggs honor both the highly successful film franchise and the original attractions’ famous lore.

IMG

The wooden carvings framing the portholes appear to be charred, just like the attractions’ burning village scene and distinctive lanterns are reminiscent of the namesake attraction in Disneyland Paris.

IMG

There is even a set of 13 drawers filled with treasure maps, each labeled with different scenes representing the global parks and attractions, including The Ghostly Grotto, Port Royale, Talking Skull Bay, Blue Bayou, and Treasure Cove. Meanwhile, the stacked treasure chests that make up the bar front nod to the treasure rooms and Captain’s Quarters in the films.

Evenings of revelry at Cask & Cannon include a menu fit for even the most seasoned swashbucklers, offering rare, specialty, and vintage rums as well as a not-so-secret selection of specially developed “bootlegged” brews.

Ghostly Guests Rematerialize: The Haunted Mansion Parlor Sets Sail Aboard the Disney Destiny

There’s always room for one more ghost… and now, one more ship. The beloved Haunted Mansion Parlor has returned from the great beyond, this time aboard Disney Cruise Line’s newest vessel, the Disney Destiny. Guests can once again mingle with the 999 happy haunts in this spine-chillingly elegant lounge at sea.

Related: Wakanda to the High Seas: A First Look at the Disney Destiny Grand Hall

Just like its eerie twin on the Disney Treasure, the Haunted Mansion Parlor aboard the Destiny is an adults-only space designed for “lively spirits” — both supernatural and sippable. Think vintage décor, flickering lamps, purple damask wallpaper, and enough ghostly charm to make even Madame Leota raise a glass.

A Hauntingly Elegant Atmosphere
From the moment guests step through the parlor’s ornate doors, they’re transported into a ghost story told with Disney Cruise Line flair. Velvet armchairs, leather barstools, and richly patterned rugs create an intimate setting for chilling conversations. The famed “Donald Duck” chair makes a return appearance too — yes, that mischievous red seat that seems to grin right back at you.

Look closely around the parlor and you’ll notice the Imagineering magic at work: a portrait gallery of spectral sailors, a white marble fireplace with a shipwreck painting above, and a clock forever fixed at the unlucky hour of 13. Even the Captain’s portrait gets in on the fun — transforming from stately to skeletal before your very eyes.

A Bar That’s Simply to Die For
The glowing green marble bar beckons with ghostly allure, complete with a mirror that holds more than your reflection. Stare long enough and you just might see a few otherworldly figures join the party. Bartenders keep the mischief going by hiding secret messages in cocktails that only appear under blacklight.

And speaking of cocktails — the drinks here are frightfully good. The Chilling Challenge: My Way mixes Camus VSOP Cognac, Cointreau Noir, Joto Yuzu Sake, Orange Blossom Foam, and edible viola flowers into a hauntingly beautiful concoction. Guests order from leather-bound digital “books” that flip like the pages of an old tome.

Don’t forget to grab a Death Certificate when closing out your tab — a signature souvenir that’s become a cult favorite among fans of the Haunted Mansion Parlor.

Related: Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2025 Review

Beyond the Veil — and Into Forever
As if sipping with the spirits wasn’t enough, the Haunted Mansion Parlor is now officially available as a Disney Weddings venue, perfect for couples ready to say “I do” for all eternity. Between the eerie portraits and the portholes to the afterlife, it’s the ultimate setting for a ghostly union made in heaven (or perhaps, somewhere just below).

With the Haunted Mansion Parlor now haunting both the Disney Treasure and the Disney Destiny, fans of the supernatural can look forward to double the ghoulish delight.

Holiday Cookie Popcorn Debuts at Magic Kingdom – And It’s a Sweet Celebration Worth Popping Over

If you thought Main Street, U.S.A. couldn’t possibly get more festive, think again — because the Kernel Kitchen inside the Main Street Confectionery is rolling out a new holiday treat that’s merry, crunchy, and oh-so-chocolatey. Say hello to the all-new Holiday Cookie Popcorn, a limited-time addition that’s joining the seasonal snack lineup at Magic Kingdom this year.

Each batch of this sweet holiday mix starts with caramel popcorn and is topped with M&M’s milk chocolate candies, crushed ginger snap cookies, mini marshmallows, and a milk chocolate drizzle (though some lucky snackers have spotted a surprise switch to white chocolate instead). The result? A mix that’s equal parts crunchy, chewy, and holiday magic in every handful.

Like all Kernel Kitchen creations, guests can watch Cast Members craft their custom popcorn mix right before their eyes — or choose from a pre-made combination if they’re in a hurry to get back to the castle lights and Christmas parade. The festive concoction comes served in the adorable Mickey’s Main Street Popcorn container, perfect for strolling down Main Street with a little extra holiday cheer in hand.

So, how does it taste? According to early tasters, this one’s nearly perfect. The caramel and chocolate blend beautifully with the soft marshmallows and candy crunch, though the gingersnap cookie bits might be a tad firm. Still, it’s hard to complain when something “tastes like Christmas,” as one review put it.

Related: Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2025 Review

Priced at $16.99, it’s a splurge, but definitely one that delivers plenty of seasonal sweetness. Whether you’re stopping by before catching Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade or just need a snack to keep your spirits bright, the Holiday Cookie Popcorn is a treat that’ll have you saying, “popcorn, but make it festive!”

Disney Destiny Opens The Sanctum: A Spellbinding Doctor Strange Lounge at Sea

Ready your Sling Rings, because we just opened a portal, and trust us, what’s on the other side is pure magic. We’re currently sailing aboard the all-new Disney Destiny, and among our first stops was The Sanctum, Disney Cruise Line’s first-ever lounge themed to the world of Doctor Strange.

The moment we stepped through the velvet curtains, we knew this wasn’t your average shipboard bar. The space radiates mysticism and Marvel flair, with deep red and gold hues inspired by Doctor Strange’s Cloak of Levitation (which is proudly displayed here!). Every detail feels cinematic — from the carpet pattern that mirrors Strange’s medallion collection to the glowing circular focal point behind the bar that mimics the Sanctum’s skylight, shifting colors as if pulsing with energy from another realm.

It’s Not Magic… It’s Mixology (Okay, Maybe a Little Magic)
We couldn’t resist diving right into The Sanctum’s signature cocktails — and let’s just say these drinks are straight out of the Mirror Dimension. The Circle of the Cosmos arrives dramatically inverted, with a lemon peel spiral that seems to float midair. The Mirror Dimension crackles with “electrifying dust” that actually tingles as you sip. Every pour feels like a spell being cast right at your table, complete with a touch of showmanship from the mixologists-slash-sorcerers behind the bar.

And because magic (and a little sugar) make everything better, we tried the Sanctum Waffle — a soft, stuffed delight filled with custard cream and mixed berry compote. If Doctor Strange had served snacks in Kamar-Taj, this would’ve been it.

A Spellbinding Lounge for Every Traveler
What makes The Sanctum especially enchanting is its versatility. During the day, families can drop in for creative crafts, trivia, and kid-friendly fun — but come evening, the atmosphere shifts into an adult lounge with live music and otherworldly vibes. Whether you’re here for the cocktails or just to soak in the immersive details, The Sanctum feels like you’ve stepped right into the Marvel Cinematic Universe — only with ocean views.

From the Cloak of Levitation to the glowing “portal” lights and magical mixology, The Sanctum is easily one of the most impressive spaces we’ve explored so far aboard the Disney Destiny. Consider this your official invitation to enter the multiverse — at sea.
