Universal Orlando Hotels Debut Giant Sand Sculptures, Exclusive Character Perks, and Summer Fun Through August 10
Universal Orlando Resort isn’t just turning up the excitement inside its theme parks this summer. Its 11 on-site hotels are joining the celebration with exclusive experiences, eye-catching sand sculptures, seasonal treats, and new guest perks available now through August 10.

Stealing the spotlight this summer are all-new giant sand sculptures displayed in each hotel lobby. Created using between 600 and 1,200 pounds of sand and taking as long as 10 hours to complete, these incredible works of art are themed to beloved Universal movies and attractions, making them the perfect vacation photo stop.
Each hotel features its own unique sculpture:

- Loews Portofino Bay Hotel: Jaws
- Hard Rock Hotel: Ghostbusters
- Loews Royal Pacific Resort: Kung Fu Panda
- Loews Sapphire Falls Resort: Jaws

- Universal Stella Nova Resort: E.T.
- Universal Terra Luna Resort: Dark Universe
- Universal Cabana Bay Beach Resort: Shrek

The summer fun doesn’t stop with the artwork. Guests can cool off with a variety of limited-time food and beverage offerings across the resorts. Highlights include the Mischief Mixer cocktail at Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, featuring vodka, lemon juice, pineapple juice, and grenadine, along with indulgent fried funnel cake sticks at Universal Cabana Bay Beach Resort.
Several of Universal’s premier hotels are also hosting Saturday night pool parties beginning at 6:30 p.m. Guests staying at Universal Helios Grand Hotel, Loews Portofino Bay Hotel, Hard Rock Hotel, Loews Royal Pacific Resort, and Loews Sapphire Falls Resort can enjoy live DJs, poolside games, giveaways, and additional entertainment throughout the evening.
Universal has also added a brand-new hotel guest benefit this summer. Guests staying at any Universal Orlando hotel can enjoy exclusive character meet and greets at Universal Studios Florida every Saturday and Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The perk joins existing benefits like Early Park Admission and complimentary transportation throughout the resort.
