Disneyland Resort Unveils Brand-New Downtown Disney Logo
The brand-new logo for the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort has officially made its physical debut in the district, arriving right in the middle of the ongoing construction and major transformation taking place on the west side area.

A brand-new Downtown Disney sign has been officially unveiled at the Disneyland Resort, bringing the district’s refreshed, retro-inspired branding to life in a major way.
The sleek new sign is mounted on a crisp white monument structure directly in front of the upcoming building housing Earl of Sandwich and Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby on the west side of the district. This prominent new landmark greets guests making their way into the shopping and dining district from the southernmost entrance, right across the way from the Pixar Place Hotel.
Just behind the main entrance monument, guests can already spot the freshly installed signage for Gordon Ramsay at The Carnaby on the second story, alongside the classic Earl of Sandwich logo below. The entire area is tied together by modern, white geometric screen walls and gorgeous desert landscaping, complete with towering palm trees and small cacti.

The updated logo showcases a bold, gothic-style black “D” set inside a bright yellow square, with the word “DOWNTOWN” spelled out in black lettering directly above the rest of the name. The letters for “ISNEY” are arranged in individual block panels, each framed with a vibrant, colorful border. Tying the layered, mid-century modern aesthetic together is a distinct purple panel nestled right behind the final letter.

This new physical installation brings to life the updated Downtown Disney logo that was originally revealed in January in celebration of the district’s 25th anniversary. When Downtown Disney first shared the refreshed branding, they noted that the design was chosen to honor the “past, present, and future” of the property.
The revised look simplifies the previous 2024 version while preserving both the classic Disneyland-style gothic “D” and the vibrant, colorful letter-block aesthetic inspired by vintage Disneyland signage. The timing for this brand refresh is perfect, as Downtown Disney, Disney California Adventure, and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa are all marking their major 25-year milestone in 2026, celebrating a quarter-century of magic since the Disneyland Resort’s massive early-2001 expansion.
