Delta is now the fourth major airline to partner with the resort-wide service, joining American Airlines, United Airlines, and Southwest Airlines.

Operated by BagCheck, this service first launched back in April 2025 as a pilot program at Disney’s Pop Century Resort for Southwest departures. Over the last year, it has expanded to include both arrivals and departures, and now it supports four of the biggest domestic carriers.

For Arrivals (Getting to Your Resort)

Want to skip baggage claim at Orlando International Airport (MCO) entirely? Follow these steps:

Register in Advance: Head to enroll.bagcheck.com between 5 and 30 days before your flight. You’ll need both your Disney Resort hotel confirmation number and your airline confirmation number.
Receive Your Tags: If you register more than 7 days ahead of your trip, special luggage tags will be mailed to your home. (If you register within the 7-day window, you won’t get mailed tags, but your bags will still be tracked and delivered!)
Fly & Skip the Carousel: Check your bags normally at your home airport. When you land at MCO, bypass the baggage claim area completely and head straight for your Disney resort transportation.
Claim Your Bags: Once you arrive at your resort, contact Luggage Assistance (either from your room phone or at the front lobby) to collect your bags.
Note: If your flight lands after 11:00 PM, you can either grab your bags at MCO baggage claim yourself or opt to wait up to four hours for BagCheck to transport them to your resort.

For Departures (Heading Home)

Make your final day in the parks completely hands-free:

Check-In Online: Complete your flight check-in on the Delta app or website up to 24 hours before departure and pay any applicable baggage fees.
Drop Off Early: Bring your checked bags to the Luggage Assistance station in your resort lobby at least 4 hours before your flight. Make sure to have a valid photo ID and your digital boarding pass ready (resorts do not offer boarding pass printing).
Head straight to Security: Go straight to airport security when you arrive at MCO. Your bags will automatically be waiting for you at your home airport’s baggage claim!

Longtime leadership will continue to guide both ships. Comcast Chairman Brian L. Roberts will remain actively involved in the leadership of both companies.

Mike Cavanagh will step in as the Chief Executive Officer of the independent NBCUniversal media and entertainment company. Meanwhile, former Comcast Chief Financial Officer Michael Angelakis is returning to the fold to step up as the CEO of the streamlined Comcast technology company.

An incident took place at Walt Disney World last week after a young guest entered an active animal habitat at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.

According to eyewitness reports and video shared on Reddit by user Metakate334, a young girl climbed over a barrier wall and jumped down into the Savanna enclosure located directly outside Sanaa restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge – Kidani Village. The incident occurred on Thursday, June 25, while guests were waiting for dinner seating.

Eyewitnesses on the scene reported that the child was sitting on the decorative rock ledge before making the decision to jump over the partition into the habitat. Bystanders had reportedly been calling for her to step down from the ledge before she entered the enclosure.

Fortunately, the situation was resolved quickly. The child was safely pulled back out of the habitat by bystanders and family members, sustaining only minor injuries, if any. No animals or guests were harmed during the brief encounter.

The Sunset Savanna is the largest of the four wildlife habitats surrounding Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. The area is actively populated by a variety of African wildlife, including giraffes, Ankole cattle, waterbuck, and ostriches. Disney heavily enforces safety barriers throughout the resort to maintain a secure distance between guests and the free-roaming animals.

Lost Continent Demolition Picks Up Speed at Universal Islands of Adventure

The transformation of Universal Islands of Adventure continues as new aerial photos from bioreconstruct reveal major demolition progress throughout the former Lost Continent, with both Poseidon’s Fury and the Sinbad Theater area rapidly disappearing.

One of the most noticeable changes can be seen around the former home of Poseidon’s Fury, where demolition fencing now surrounds the attraction as crews prepare for the next phase of work. While much of the massive show building still stands, the fenced-off area signals that more significant demolition is likely just around the corner.

Just steps away, the former Sinbad Theater site has undergone a dramatic transformation. The amphitheater that once hosted The Eighth Voyage of Sinbad stunt show has largely been reduced to a massive construction zone. From above, much of the seating and theater infrastructure has been removed, leaving behind exposed foundations and large excavation areas.
