Dive into “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” with Lightning Lane Multi Pass at Hollywood Studios
Get ready to go under the sea with a little less waiting! Disney’s Hollywood Studios has announced that “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” will be included in the Lightning Lane Multi Pass when the new show officially opens to guests in just one week, on May 27th.
Even before its grand debut, “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” has already been added to the list of eligible experiences for Lightning Lane Multi Pass, giving guests the option to secure a shorter wait time for this much-anticipated show.
For those unfamiliar, Lightning Lane Multi Pass is the current iteration of the park’s paid skip-the-line service, which replaced the complimentary FastPass system in 2021 (and was previously rebranded from Genie+). Pricing for Lightning Lane varies by date, with peak periods, like last Christmas, seeing the highest prices.
At Walt Disney World, the Lightning Lane Multi Pass allows guests to select return times for multiple attractions within a single park for one day. When purchasing, guests can typically choose up to three attractions with designated arrival windows. It’s important to note that attractions are categorized into different tiers, allowing guests to select only one attraction at a time from the higher tier. While the specific tier for “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” has not yet been confirmed, it is widely anticipated to fall under the lower tier, aligning with other stage shows at the park.
“The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” takes the place of “Voyage of The Little Mermaid,” which remained closed after the park’s shutdown in 2020. The new production promises to retain some beloved elements from its predecessor, including the charming use of puppets. Fans who have visited recently may have already spotted the vibrant new marquee proudly installed in Animation Courtyard. Guests can also find the full list of showtimes and get a sneak peek at the new show, which recently featured an appearance by Jodi Benson, the iconic voice of Ariel.
Interestingly, another new show, “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After,” which also opens on May 27th, has not yet been listed under any Lightning Lane offerings. This could indicate that Disney anticipates higher demand for the Villains show and may initially offer it exclusively via Lightning Lane Single Pass, a separate paid option for individual high-demand attractions.
For a comprehensive understanding of how to navigate the park’s skip-the-line options, guests are encouraged to consult Disney’s full guide to Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass. With “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” soon to be serenading audiences, planning your visit with Lightning Lane could make your Hollywood Studios experience even more magical!

This unprecedented partnership promises to bring fans unforgettable experiences, captivating content, and exciting merchandise around the globe.
The alliance is fueled by a shared commitment to creativity, entertainment, and innovation, aiming to unite fans worldwide through truly unique and memorable moments. Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer for Formula 1, echoed this enthusiasm, highlighting the strategic significance of the partnership. “Our collaboration with Disney is set to be a brilliant one, as we introduce the world of Mickey & Friends to our fans, and vice versa,” Prazer commented. “It fits perfectly with our strategy to step outside the world of sport, and into a broader consumer market, and in return we’re introducing Disney to our 820 million fans worldwide.” She emphasized the natural synergy between the two entities, noting, “It’s a fantastic match as both brands are known for pushing boundaries and bringing entertainment and excitement to millions, so I can’t wait to see what our teams come up with for the circuit and beyond.”

Furthermore, a significant portion of F1’s social media audience skews young, with 54% of TikTok followers and 40% on Instagram being under 25 years old. This collaboration with Disney’s universally adored characters is poised to further broaden F1’s appeal and introduce a new generation to the excitement of motorsport.
While specific details remain under wraps, both organizations have promised more information in the coming months regarding how fans can join Mickey & Friends on their exhilarating Formula 1 adventure. To stay in the loop and witness how these iconic characters will be “living life in the fast lane” in 2026, fans are encouraged to follow @mickeymouse and @f1 on social media.
This strategic partnership is a clear indicator of Formula 1’s ongoing commitment to expanding its global reach and diversifying its audience. By teaming up with a cultural icon like Mickey Mouse, F1 is not just racing into new markets, but also creating a vibrant, fun, and accessible entry point for families and young fans into the world of motorsport. The checkered flag awaits, and with Mickey & Friends on board, the future of Formula 1 promises to be more entertaining than ever!
Wocka Wocka, One Last Time: Cast Members to Bid Farewell to Muppet*Vision 3D in Private Celebration at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
It’s time to play the music one final time—for Cast Members, at least.
On June 10, 2025, Walt Disney World will host a special, Cast Member-exclusive sendoff for Muppet*Vision 3D, the beloved Grand Avenue attraction that’s been serving up laughs (and the occasional flying pie) since 1991. Just days after its final public showing on June 7, Disney’s Hollywood Studios Cast Members will get one last chance to say goodbye during a heartfelt farewell event filled with themed games, activities, and—of course—a final screening inside the iconic Muppet theater.
This behind-the-scenes celebration marks the official end of an era. More than just a show, Muppet*Vision 3D was the final project personally overseen by the legendary Jim Henson, giving it a special place in the hearts of fans and Cast alike. It was a perfect blend of classic Muppet mayhem, cutting-edge (for 1991!) 3D technology, and plenty of puns that only Fozzie could love. And let’s not forget Sam Eagle’s “salute to all nations, but mostly America.”
The June 10 celebration is also a fond farewell to the entire Grand Avenue area, which will soon be transformed into Monstropolis, a brand-new land themed after Pixar’s Monsters, Inc.. As part of the transformation, PizzeRizzo—the Muppets-themed eatery that’s long been a punchline for its medi-okra menu (we say that with love!)—will also serve its final slice on June 7.
In its place, Disney has announced plans for the Monstro Theater, a brand-new attraction that promises to bring the laugh-powered world of Monsters, Inc. to life. While we’re excited to see Mike, Sulley, and Roz take the stage, it’s bittersweet to say goodbye to a piece of Disney-Muppet history that’s entertained generations of guests.
Disney has teased that it is “exploring ways to preserve the film and other parts of the experience for fans to enjoy in the future,” so it may not be completely the end for Kermit and the gang. Whether that means a Disney+ debut, digital archive, or perhaps an Easter egg or two in the new land, we’ll be keeping an eye on the radar (and maybe the penguin orchestra, too).
As the curtains close and the theater lights dim for the final time, we can only say: thank you for the laughter, the nostalgia, and the foam pies. And as Kermit once said, “Life’s like a movie—write your own ending.” Muppet*Vision 3D, you gave us one heck of a finale.
Family Adventures, Kid-Approved: Tia Mowry & Visit Anaheim’s Imaginagency
Responding to a national survey indicating that a significant 86% of kids crave more say in family trips, Visit Anaheim has launched a revolutionary concept: Imaginagency. This world-first travel agency, developed in collaboration with actress and supermom Tia Mowry, features vacation itineraries dreamed up and designed entirely by children. Six young “Imaginagents,” including Tia’s own kids, Cree and Cairo Mowry-Hardrict, have created six bookable Anaheim adventures for the campaign. Eager families can now visit the Imaginagency website to discover these kid-centric plans and enter for the opportunity to win the ultimate Anaheim getaway.
“I’m thrilled to partner with Visit Anaheim on this fun, imaginative project,” says Tia Mowry. “Anaheim is special to me—it’s where I lived while working in LA, and now I get to return with my kids to create something magical. It’s a full-circle moment for me, and I can’t wait for families to experience Anaheim through the eyes of kids because it’s a place where imagination can run wild. The cherry on top was being able to collaborate with my own children and seeing their over-the-top vacation ideas!”
The driving force behind Imaginagency is a dynamic team of six adventurous ‘Imaginagents’ tasked with crafting fun and kid-endorsed Anaheim itineraries that families can readily book. Given that 86% of kids desire greater input into family vacation planning, and a significant 53% would prefer to handle all the details, Imaginagency smartly puts children in charge. The team includes:
Cree Mowry-Hardrict, 13, actor and son of Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict
Cairo Mowry-Hardrict, 6, daughter of Tia Mowry and Cory Hardrict
Tynka Gudas, 9, daughter of Anaheim Ducks Captain Radko Gudas
Brayden El Moussa, 9, son of Tarek El Moussa and Christina Haack
Olivia Bledsoe, 9, local Anaheim expert
Nigel Zhang, 9, local Anaheim expert
The Imaginagents have designed a collection of kid-approved Anaheim itineraries guaranteed to deliver fun. Nigel’s itinerary blasts through the city’s top amusement parks, while Olivia guides families through hiking, shopping, and Knott’s Berry Farm. Brayden’s three-day plan showcases the best views and thrills. Cree’s celebrates the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration with all the beloved characters, rides, and entertainment. Cairo offers a sweet escape filled with pancakes, ice cream, and donuts. And coming this summer, Tynka’s Ducks-inspired adventure will feature exclusive experiences for the 2025–2026 season!
“Kids bring a special kind of magic to the travel experience,” says Scott Oklin, Chief Marketing Officer of Visit Anaheim. “Through Imaginagency, we’re not just giving families a trip to remember, we’re allowing kids to lead the way with their own creativity. Whether it’s cheering on the Anaheim Ducks or taking a spin on thrilling rides, we’re all about turning kids’ big ideas into unforgettable moments for the whole family.”

A Disney Treat: Donald’s Tales of Adventure Candy Display
In celebration of Disneyland’s 70th, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel unveiled a delightful addition earlier this year: the Donald’s Tales of Adventure Buffet, now open inside Storytellers Cafe.
To further commemorate the exciting new Donald’s Tales of Adventure Buffet at Storytellers Cafe, Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel has added a delightful touch of artistry to its lobby. Guests are now greeted by a stunning chocolate sculpture, a sweet testament to the enhanced dining experience and the ongoing celebration within the hotel.
The display sign proudly reveals the dedication poured into this “adventurous showpiece featuring Donald & friends”: a staggering 400 hours of meticulous work by the talented Disney Culinary Team, brought to life using the following delectable ingredients:
80 pounds of crisped rice cereal
80 pounds of powdered sugar
60 pounds of fondant
40 pounds of white chocolate
25 pounds of marshmallows
18 pounds of egg whites
This “Adventure Structure” has been thoughtfully designed to complement the Grand Californian’s established aesthetic and warm ambiance. It also acts as a charming nod to the newly introduced Donald’s Tales of Adventure Dinner Buffet at Storytellers Cafe, strengthening the thematic connection throughout the hotel.
This intricate chocolate structure unfolds in stacked layers, beginning with a base of edible “grass” and “dirt.” Ascending from there, a charming light-up “water” feature complete with sculpted fish catches the eye. Above this, an awning proudly displays a 70th anniversary medallion, with a flickering chocolate campfire nestled beneath. The delightful scene culminates with figures of Donald and his friends engaged in a spot of fishing around a rocky outcrop.
Perched fittingly at the summit of the chocolate rock cliff stands Donald Duck, ready for adventure in his outdoorsy attire, complete with a backpack and walking stick. Just below him, Goofy and Clarabelle appear to be thoroughly enjoying the scenic surroundings. Circling the other sides of the rocky formation, we find Daisy engrossed in a book, while nearby, Pluto joyfully chases a butterfly near a cascading chocolate waterfall.
Descending further down the chocolate creation, our eyes are drawn to the campfire scene, encircled by artfully placed smaller chocolate rocks just above the circular “fish tank.” Within this edible aquarium, several sculpted fish appear to be swimming. Notably, one bears a striking resemblance to the fish version of “The Incredible Mr. Limpet,” a clever Easter egg also found in The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure at Disney California Adventure.
This whimsical tank is seemingly supported by a delicate chocolate twig, beneath which rests what appears to be a larger rendition of Donald’s backpack, accompanied by two books. The title of one book, “The Perfect Cast: Standout Fishing Techniques,” hints at Donald’s angling adventures. Adding another celebratory touch, a bronze 70th anniversary medallion lies atop the red-covered book.
The base of this delightful chocolate creation is a miniature landscape in itself, artfully covered with textured chocolate “grass” interspersed with meticulously crafted chocolate pinecones, whimsical mushrooms, and smooth chocolate rocks. Adding a touch of Disney magic, a charming Mickey-shaped s’more completes this delightful foundation.

Just When You Thought It Was Safe to Visit Universal Studios Florida… Amity Returns for the Jaws 50th Anniversary!
Cue the iconic two-note theme—Universal Studios Florida at Universal Orlando Resort is making waves this summer with a limited-time celebration for the 50th anniversary of Jaws! For longtime fans and curious new swimmers alike, the park has resurrected a slice of the beloved seaside town of Amity, complete with themed décor, classic props, exclusive merch, and yes—plenty of shark-tastic photo ops.
The San Francisco waterfront has officially been transformed into a “Little Amity” village, where red, white, and blue banners set the tone for a nostalgic Fourth of July-style celebration straight out of the original film. Guests are greeted with a “Welcome to Amity 4th of July Celebration” banner and classic carnival-style bunting fluttering across the rooftops. It’s a picture-perfect postcard from the past—and a clever callback to the doomed holiday festivities in the movie.
A Tribute Store with Real Bite
Taking over the San Francisco Candy Factory (now serving as a pop-up mini tribute store), the 50th Anniversary Jaws shop is packed with thematic Easter eggs. From a bite-sized model of the Orca boat to vintage-styled life jackets, barrels, and signage from the Amity Police Department, this retail space is a treasure trove for fans of the film and the former ride.
On the shelves, you’ll find:
Retro-style Jaws tees and tank tops
“Don’t Go in the Water” mugs
Themed bags and lunchboxes
Posters, postcards, and novelty drinkware
Collectible 50th Anniversary merchandise, exclusive to this pop-up location
Even the mannequin is ready for shark season, lounging in swimwear straight out of 1975 Amity Island.
Amity Artifacts and Movie Props
One corner of the shop features a display case dedicated to Jaws history, complete with replica police uniforms, “No Swimming” beach signs, harpoons, and scuba tanks. You might just spot a nod to Steven’s Cannery or the WJWS radio station—subtle but satisfying winks to longtime fans.
Outside the store, props like lobster traps, nets, barrels labeled “TNT,” and weathered signage reinforce the rustic coastal town aesthetic. It’s a layered tribute that feels like Amity never left.
Photo Ops with a Bite
A highlight of the area is the new Jaws photo op, featuring a setup that places you directly aboard the infamous Amity 6 tour boat—just in time to catch ol’ Bruce himself launching out of the water with teeth bared. Across the street, the original hanging shark remains, offering another prime opportunity for a fin-tastic pic.
Food & Drinks—With a Side of Shark
Food booths themed to Midway Grill and Captain Quint’s Broadway Snack (classic names from the former land) have popped up near the tribute area, though menus haven’t been shared yet. However, over at Chez Alcatraz, guests can already raise a glass in celebration with a commemorative 50th Anniversary Jaws drink served in a collectible glass.
While there’s no word yet on how long Little Amity will stick around, it’s clear Universal is embracing the nostalgia and legacy of Jaws in a way that’s playful, immersive, and deeply appreciated by longtime fans. Whether you’re here for the merch, the memories, or just to snap a selfie before the shark strikes again, you won’t want to miss this limited-time splash of summer.
