“The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” Marquee Swims into Place at Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Things are getting mer-mazing over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios as the brand-new marquee for The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure has officially been installed! This shimmering new sign is the perfect warm-up act for the show’s big debut on May 27, 2025, at the Animation Courtyard.

The marquee, now proudly displayed above the entrance, is a whimsical splash of color and magic. It features Ariel’s iconic silhouette perched on a rock against a glowing yellow backdrop, framed by sea-inspired details like swirling waves, coral, seashells, and even a few hidden treasures. It’s a visual shell-ebration that hints at the theatrical magic waiting just inside.
The new marquee for The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure marks a dramatic glow-up from its predecessor, Voyage of the Little Mermaid. The former sign, while nostalgic, featured a bulky sculpted display of Ariel, Flounder, King Triton, Sebastian, and Ursula atop a faux-rocky base. Though iconic in its own right, it had started to show its age—especially as the facade’s paint faded over the years like a sunken shipwreck.
In contrast, the fresh marquee ushers in a more elegant and stylized era. With a glowing silhouette of Ariel at sunset, vibrant oceanic flourishes, and a sleeker design, the new look embraces modern aesthetics while still honoring the heart of Ariel’s story. It’s less cartoon and more curtain call—perfectly setting the stage for this dazzling new theatrical adventure.

This brand-new stage show promises to make waves with fans of the classic animated film.
