Stitch’s 70th Anniversary Takeover: He Crashed Disneyland!
Get ready, because Stitch has officially landed at the Disneyland Resort, and as you’d expect, he’s brought his signature brand of chaos!
Monday on Good Morning America, it was revealed that everyone’s favorite mischievous alien has crashed Disneyland Park to experience the 70th Celebration up close and personal.
From snapping a few photos with Mickey Mouse & Minnie Mouse in their new looks created just for the 70th Celebration to splashing down on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, he wasted no time in experiencing some of the many highlights a day at Disneyland can offer. And of course, what day would be complete without a shopping spree at the Emporium on Main Street, U.S.A.? Stitch made sure to leave with some of the new merchandise items as part of the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration Collection.
Happening now for a limited time, the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration will honor seven decades of happiness and many moments of joy in the making. Even Stitch couldn’t resist seeing all the limited-time entertainment, colorful decor, themed food and beverages, and especially the collectible merchandise. Just see for yourself all the mischief he got up to while celebrating at The Happiest Place on Earth!

Hear your family’s name announced as you are welcomed aboard the Disney Wish at Port Canaveral. On the second day, the ship calls on Nassau, allowing guests to explore the vibrant city or relax on beautiful beaches. Disney VoluntEARS Pack 2,000 Care Packages with the USO for U.S. Troops Stationed Around the Globe
Across the country and around the world, members of the U.S. military are never far from the hearts of Disney Cast Members. Continuing a beloved tradition of service, Disney VoluntEARS recently partnered with the USO to pack 2,000 care packages for deployed troops—sending a little magic and a lot of gratitude to heroes far from home.
Assembling everything from snacks and hygiene items to handwritten notes filled with heartfelt messages, Cast Members came together in true Disney fashion: with joy, teamwork, and purpose.
Each green USO-branded pouch filled by the VoluntEARS represented a moment of comfort waiting to be unwrapped across the globe. Care packages included familiar items like Goldfish crackers, travel essentials, and personal messages—many decorated with Mickey ears, heartfelt doodles, and words of encouragement like “Thank you for your service!” and “You’re the real magic!”
One of the most touching aspects? Dozens of Cast Members gathered to write cheerful notes and draw Disney characters on cards meant to brighten a service member’s day. From “You’ve got a friend in me” to “USA! USA!,” these messages turned simple pouches into bundles of connection.
A Legacy of Service: Disney and the USO
The USO’s Care Package program dates back to the organization’s earliest days in the 1940s. Originally launched to provide “tastes of home” to deployed troops during World War II, the program continues to make a lasting difference for those serving far from the comforts of home.
Today, the USO supports military personnel and their families from the moment they enlist through their return to civilian life. With over 250 USO centers around the world—including in combat zones and unstaffed locations where only troops are allowed—their mission is clear: keep America’s service members connected to the people and values they defend.
Disney has long supported that mission. From tours that entertain military families to employee-led projects like these care packages, Disney’s ongoing collaboration with the USO is powered by kindness, appreciation, and community spirit.

The Disneyland 70th Celebration is here and both parks have new decor! The latest additions include eye-catching, brightly designed fence trays that are now gracing Disney California Adventure.
Guests at Disney California Adventure will notice a delightful new touch for the Disneyland 70th Celebration: the fence tables on the Grizzly Peak side have been beautifully updated. These handy ledges, which provide a perfect spot for quick snacks or setting down belongings, were already a welcome amenity. While the tables themselves are not new, their newly added brightly themed covers celebrate the 70th anniversary, with each of the four tables near the trash can featuring a unique design.
The first new fence table cover is white with a green edge, featuring the full Disneyland Resort wordmark and the familiar “70” castle logo. Mickey Mouse, in his new 70th Celebration outfit, stands behind the wordmark. The second design switches to a blue background with pink trim, showcasing a smaller wordmark and logo. This vibrant cover depicts Mickey and all his friends—Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Daisy, Chip & Dale, Pluto, and Clarabelle Cow—in their new anniversary attire, with Tinker Bell (in her classic green dress) soaring above them.
The third unique design is a darker blue with a pink border, where the Disneyland Resort wordmark dominates, and Mickey and friends cleverly peek out from around the letters, also sporting their 70th anniversary costumes. The fourth design is also white with a green edge. The celebration logo 70 with the castle is featured in the center with different park and ride icons surrounding it in the shape of a hidden Mickey. And the final design is light yellow with a blue edge. The Disneyland wordmark and 70 logo is featured in the center with park icons in rectangle shapes and characters surrounding. Mickey, Minnie, Donald and Goofy are on this one.
These covers appear to be temporary, waterproof plastic, making them easy to clean. They’re wrapped over the edges of the tables and connect underneath. You can expect to see these festive decorations remain throughout the Disneyland 70th Celebration, which kicked off on May 16, 2024, and runs until the summer of 2026.
Cool Ship in Tomorrowland Temporarily Docks for Refurbishment
Tomorrowland’s snack supply just hit pause! If you’re wandering through Magic Kingdom hoping to grab a cold drink or a sweet treat from Cool Ship, you’ll have to hold that craving—because the quirky space-age snack kiosk has gone temporarily offline for refurbishment.
Disney has quietly closed Cool Ship for now, and while they haven’t announced an official reopening date, they’ve confirmed the closure is temporary and the snack station will return later this year. No need to fire up the hyperdrive—this appears to be a standard refurbishment, not a permanent closure.
Recent permits filed for the location include “General Construction” and “Install Set Elements,” hinting that some visual or thematic changes may be on the horizon. While there’s no confirmation of a revamped menu (yet), Disney may use this downtime to give the ship a fresh look or update its backstory to align with the evolving Tomorrowland aesthetic. Will it get a tech upgrade? A new intergalactic paint job? We’re watching the launch bay closely for clues.

Cool Ship may be small in size, but it packs some seriously satisfying snack options. Here’s what guests have been enjoying before the temporary closure:

First Look: “Zootopia 2” Teaser, Poster, and Image Revealed
Fans got their first glimpse of “Zootopia 2” this morning, as Walt Disney Animation Studios unveiled a new teaser trailer. The highly anticipated sequel to the 2016 Academy Award-winning “Zootopia” reunites beloved rookie cops Judy Hopps (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Nick Wilde (Jason Bateman). The trailer also hints at an intriguing new alliance, showing the duo teaming up with a mysterious pit viper named Gary De’Snake, voiced by Ke Huy Quan.
In the film, which opens only in theaters Nov. 26, Judy and Nick find themselves on the twisting trail of a great mystery when Gary De’Snake arrives in Zootopia and turns the animal metropolis upside down. To crack the case, they must go undercover to unexpected new parts of town, where their growing partnership is tested like never before. According to Disney Animation chief creative officer and director Jared Bush, who also wrote the script, a larger world is in store for fans.
“We are beyond excited to welcome everyone back to the outrageous, expansive animal metropolis of Zootopia, and take audiences on a hilarious, wild ride into parts of the city we’ve never visited before,” said Bush. “Whether it’s the marshes of semi-aquatic mammals, the vast desert dunes or even greater mysteries beyond, our heroes, Judy and Nick, will meet a lot of new friends, and discover even more about the world, themselves and a brand-new snake in town.”
