Reservations are now open to dine with Santa and Mrs. Claus at T-Rex Café in Disney Springs!

From the North Pole to popular Paleozoic hotspots, Santa’s a legend wherever he lands! On select mornings this December, T-REX Restaurant welcomes omnivores of all ages to dig into a prehistoric holiday treat sure to create buzz with hungry dinosaur buffs and elves alike: breakfast with Santa and Mrs. Claus.

Join the Claus’ for holly, jolly, Jurass-tast-ic mealtime magic… sit on Santa’s lap, whisper wish lists, snap pics and get swept up by the spirit of the season. Then, feed mammoth appetites with some of the finest fare this side of flora, fauna, and gingerbread-o-saurs.

Our merry breakfast spread includes mini pancakes, French toast sticks, scrambled eggs, omelets, waffles, Applewood smoked bacon, turkey sausages, bagels and cream cheese, fresh fruit with yogurt, assorted cereals, artisanal breads, Danish pastries, muffins and more. When you work up a thirst, choose from milk, juices, tea, and coffee. Mimosas and Bloody Marys will also be available for purchase for Guests 21 years of age or older.

After we surprised our son with his first ever virtual reality adventure at The Void for his birthday Saturday, what did I spy out of the corner of my eyes, but this gorgeously decorated cherry red food truck with the 4R symbol. As an extra special birthday treat for my son, our family was warmly welcomed to experience the new 4Rivers Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck at Disney Springs during the cast member preview.

The taco cone with Tri-tip steak was ALL ME! As soon as I saw it, I HAD to have it. This is what tacos dream about becoming when they “grow up” LOL! It’s filled to the brim with your choice of filling (definitely recommend the grilled tri-tip steak), guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo, queso, cilantro, jalapeno and then garnished with a lime wedge.

Nana’s Pork Sofrito Burrito Bowl – $10.99

My husband decided on the Nana’s Pork Sofrito Burrito Bowl with rice. He could not stop talking about how fantastic this dish was! Starting with a base of either rice or lettuce, you choose your filling, and then the bowl is topped high with black beans, salsa verde, guacamole, pico de gallo, sour cream, queso fresco, cilantro, jalapeno, and corn tortilla strips.

Kid’s Cheese Quesadilla – $5.99

Our son, the birthday boy, ordered the kid’s cheese quesadilla. As soon as he took that first bite, he was all smiles and gave two thumbs up! He LOVED how cheesy it was.

Dulce de Leche Churro Balls – $5.99

Who needs a birthday cake, when you can have the Dulce de Leche Churro Balls?! My son was kind enough to share a few with his old mom and pops. Hot, fresh, perfectly poppable and a great dessert to share. That sauce though…dulce de leche de-licious!!

Overall Thoughts

It was such a privilege to be a part of the cast member opening, and we are beyond thankful! My family is still talking about all our eats from Saturday! No joke, I NEED more taco cone in my life!! This will be a regular haunt for us for sure when it opens. Don’t forget the official opening is this Tuesday 8/21 at 11 am parked between World of Disney and Basin at Disney Springs. Coop & Cami Ask the World

Disney Channel is introducing a brand new live-action comedy called “Coop & Cami Ask the World” which headlines multi-talented young actors Dakota Lotus and Ruby Rose Turner who lead a great ensemble cast. The series follows the antics of middle-school siblings Coop and Cami Wrather, who co-host a popular online show while balancing life, family and friendship, premiering FRIDAY, OCTOBER 12, on Disney Channel (8:30-9:00 p.m. EDT), in the DisneyNOW app and on Disney Channel VOD (12:01 a.m. local). The second episode will be available immediately following the series’ premiere (9:00 p.m. EDT) in the DisneyNOW app and Disney Channel YouTube.

Made for kids and families, the live-action comedy follows Cooper (Lotus) and Cameron (Turner) Wrather, two middle-school siblings who co-host Coop’s online show “Would You Wrather.” With the help of their little brother Ollie and Coop’s best friend Fred, the duo present out-of-the-box questions and results to the show’s millions of followers (aka Wratherheads) who help them solve life problems – both mundane and madcap. Every day is an adventure in the Wrather’s hectic household, which also includes their older sister Charlotte and mom, Jenna. Whatever the question or result, Coop and Cami tackle adolescence and everyday family situations with humor and heart.

Also starring are Olivia Sanabia (“Just Add Magic”) as their older sister Charlotte; Albert Tsai (“Dr. Ken”) as Coop’s best friend Fred; Paxton Booth (“The Toy Box”) as their little brother Ollie and Rebecca Metz (“Better Things”) as their mom Jenna.

In the premiere episode, Cooper and Cami are preparing for their school dance when they learn their mom is ready to start dating again, now that it’s been two years since their father passed away. Much to their chagrin, her first date happens to be with their principal. Not sure what to do, they turn to the Wratherheads for advice, asking “Would you Wrather have your mom date the principal or take your mom to the school dance?”

Series creators Boyce Bugliari and Jamie McLaughlin (“The Haunted Hathaways”) serve as executive producers and showrunners. The multi-camera series is also executive produced by Dan Cross & Dave Hoge (“The Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex,” “The Thundermans”). Greg Schaffer (“Lab Rats: Elite Force”) is co-executive producer.

Season one of the series will include a new music video, a series of live-action shorts and interactive challenges.

The “Coop & Cami Ask the World” multiplatform schedule is as follows:

FRIDAY, AUGUST 17
The “Coop & Cami Ask the World” challenge kicks off Friday, August 17 through Friday, September 21. Just as Coop and Cami ask Wratherheads to cast their opinions, Disney Channel will invite audiences on social media to vote on which Coop and Cami video they would rather see on-air and the winning video will debut on Disney Channel the following Friday evening.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 21
The cast is featured in the music video of the series’ theme song “Ask the World” (sung by Dakota Lotus and Ruby Rose Turner), premiering on Disney Channel and DisneyMusicVEVO.

“Coop & Cami Ask the World” series of shorts featuring the cast and other Disney Channel stars taking on Would You Rather-type challenges will debut on Disney Channel, DisneyNOW and Disney Channel YouTube.

FRIDAY, OCTOBER 12
The television premiere of “Coop & Cami Ask the World” on Disney Channel (8:30 p.m. EDT), in the DisneyNOW app and Disney Channel VOD (12:01 a.m. local).

The second episode will be available in the DisneyNOW app and on Disney Channel YouTube immediately following the premiere episode (9:00 p.m. EDT). In the second episode, Cami’s chances to win the class election for social chair are at stake when Cooper accidentally reveals that she still sleeps with her childhood stuffed Hippo named Ho-ho during one of their live segments.

Matt Damon Hangs With Edna Mode At Disneyland's Pixar Pier

Disneyland guests have had an incredible summer at Disney California Adventure with the newly reopened Pixar Pier! With so many new attractions, places to eat and characters to greet, it’s no surprise that actor Matt Damon stopped by to check it all out. Matt spent the day enjoying everything Pixar Pier has to offer including a grand meeting with none other than the Incredible’s Edna Mode.

Edna Mode joined everyone at Disneyland this summer for Pixar Fest and the grand opening of Pixar Pier. Guests can hang with the iconic super suit designer from Incredibles and Incredibles 2 and then take a ride on the newly reimagined Incredicoaster! Afterwards, be sure to stop by the Lamplight Lounge for a great bite to eat. Rumors had been circulating for quite some time before it was finally confirmed that a new Ratatouille ride would be coming to Epcot. We have been following the progress of the construction on the new attraction behind the France Pavillion but we are still waiting to hear what it will be called once complete.

Walt Disney World has recently released a new survey that might shed some light on what the Ratatouille ride will be called. In the survey, they are asking guests to vote for their favorite name from the list below:

Universal Orlando is working on a major enhancement to their movie theater. Guests will excited to learn that Universal has teamed up with Cinemark to bring them Universal Cinemark this fall. This incredible upgrade will begin in September and finish up a few months later.

Once complete, movie goers will be able to relax in new, reclining Cinemark Luxury Loungers that feature extendable footrests, cup holders and plush seating. These will be installed in all 20 auditoriums.

Universal Orlando's Citywalk To Upgrade To Cinemark This Fall

Another exciting addition will be the Cinemark XD auditorium, featuring an expansive wall-to-wall screen, custom-engineered surround sound with multi-channel speakers and state-of-the-art projection systems that can deliver 35 trillion colors.

You’ll also be able to join Cinemark Movie Club, a unique monthly movie membership program offering ticket and concession discounts along with other exclusive benefits. Joining is easy. Simply download the Cinemark app and sign up!

Cast Members Head To Colombia To Support Tamarin Conservation

There’s a holiday in Colombia that strives to raise awareness for a critically endangered monkey that lives exclusively in their rainforests. The Day of the Cotton-top Tamarin took place on August 16th, 2018 and Cast Members from Disney’s Animal Kingdom were there to celebrate and show support.

For years, Disney has been sending Cast Members to South America to support the conservation group Proyecto Titi. This nonprofit organization is dedicated to field research, scientific assessments and community outreach all in support of the Cotton-top Tamarin.

Two keepers from Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Alejandra Aramburo and Jackie Buckley recently returned from Colombia where they worked with Proyecto Titi’s educators on their community education and engagement programs. These programs help reinforce national pride in the cotton-top tamarins, educate locals on the best ways to support the tamarins’ survival and build respect for the environment of the tropical forests where the animals live.

Jackie Buckley, who is part Colombian finds this opportunity very rewarding. It gives her a chance to help native wildlife in a country that means so much to her and her family.

Both Alejandra and Jackie remarked on the kindness of the locals and the strong sense of community they felt, even in the smallest of towns. The experience of making a significant contribution to conservation and working with people they may never have met otherwise was life-changing for both of them.

“I was super-thankful for the opportunity,” Jackie said. “I feel like I’ve grown as a person, as a trainer and as a conservation educator…I want more people to experience this and to be able to tell more guests about it.”

Another way Proyecto Tití supports cotton-top tamarins is by helping develop sustainable programs to generate revenue for the community so that locals can reduce their dependency on forest products. For example, local artisans crochet eco-mochila purses, totes and bracelets from plastic bags that may otherwise end up littering the forest. These are sold online and at the Walt Disney World Resort, which is helping boost the economy of the locals who live near cotton-top tamarins. It’s also helping clean the forest of waste that could be harmful to all animals.
