School is back in session and Polk County students are set up for success thanks to the generous donations of visitors to LEGOLAND® Florida Resort. More than 3,000 school supply items have been collected for the Homeless Education Advocates Restoring the Hope project. As a special thank you to guests, LEGOLAND Florida Resort is extending this month’s free parking offer through Labor Day and guests are encouraged to bring new, unopened school supplies to donate. The voucher for free standard parking can be found online at https://www.legoland.com/free-parking-info.

Every donation will help make a difference in the lives of more than 4,000 students identified in a homeless situation in Polk County. Pre-purchased standard parking will be upgraded to shaded, premium parking free of charge. Premium Parking can be purchased for $27. Awesomer and Awesomest Annual Pass holders can upgrade to premium parking for $10.

LEGOLAND Florida Resort will be offering free standard parking between August 1st and Labor Day, 2018. Those standard parking fees are usually $17 per day for cars, $18 per day for campers/RVs and $10 per day for motorcycles.

Guests receiving the free parking are encouraged to bring new, unopened school supplies to donate to the Homeless Education Advocates Restoring the Hope program for Polk County Public Schools. Most needed items include pens, pencils, erasers, scissors and composition notebooks. Every donation will help make a difference in the lives of more than 4,000 students identified in a homeless situation in Polk County.

Starting Aug. 29, 2018, Walt Disney Travel Company will be charging for every traveler, regardless of age, who would like to purchase the Travel Protection Plan. Plan costs are as follows:

Earlier this year Bob Iger, Disney Chairman and CEO, announced an initial $50 million investment in a new and ongoing education initiative aimed specifically at The Walt Disney Company’s hourly workforce. This investment, Disney Aspire, was launched this week and is the most comprehensive program of its kind. Hourly employees are now being offered a wide array of disciplines and diplomas. And even more incredible – the tuition is paid upfront.

Iger said, “I have always believed that education is the key to opportunity. It opens doors and creates new possibilities.” And senior executive vice president & chief HR officer for The Walt Disney Company, Jayne Parker said, “I am incredibly proud that Disney is embarking on this historic launch.” She continued, “In terms of what employees and Cast Members will achieve with that—all I can say is the sky’s the limit!”

Disney Aspire is for eligible U.S.-based hourly full-time and part-time Disney cast members and employees and is a 100% tuition-paid education investment program. After the initial $50 million, up to $25 million will be invested annually in this program.

Learn all you need to know about this special event—including where to check-in and when you can enter the park.

Official check-in will take place near the far left turnstiles of the Main Entrance to Magic Kingdom park beginning at 7:30 AM.
Guests who have purchased both regular theme park admission and special event entry will receive an event wristband for identification upon check-in.
Starting at 7:45 AM, event Guests will be admitted into the park and guided into Fantasyland. Guests arriving after 7:45 AM should check in inside the park at Liberty Square Bridge.
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and Peter Pan’s Flight are the only attractions that will be operational during this special event.
From 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM, breakfast will be available at Pinocchio Village Haus.
Around 9:00 AM, the theme park will open to Guests with regular Magic Kingdom admission tickets and event-only attraction access will end.
Please note that regular theme park admission is required for this event, in addition to Disney Early Morning Magic admission.
The number of Guests admitted to these events is limited. In addition, all reservations are non-refundable, non-transferrable and are only valid for admission during the special event date and hours.

Partnering with Disney, this tracker features Disney Princess-themed bands and mobile app. So much more than a fitness device, the vívofit jr. 2 provides kids with an interactive experience where activity unlocks adventure, shaping habits for lifelong health and fitness. Kids will look forward to crushing activity minute goals to unlock app adventures, games and step icons featuring Disney Princess characters Ariel, Belle, Jasmine, Mulan and Rapunzel. With two Princess-inspired design options, vívofit jr. 2 bands are swim-friendly, feature a customizable color screen, and most important of all, boast a battery life of over a year.

Task timers help kids know how much time they have left for each chore. I scream, you scream, we all scream for an Ice Cream Sundae Bar! Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort has just added a brand new make-your-own sundae bar and we couldn’t be more excited.

Currently, you can choose between chocolate, vanilla, or (my personal favorite) chocolate/vanilla swirl as a base for their Sundae. Then the fun really begins…

An entire toppings bar is available for you to really make this dessert your own. Just a few toppings include sprinkles, nuts, candy, cookies, fruit, and of course sauces to drizzle on top.

After you are done creating your masterpiece head over to the cashier for your sundae to be weighed. The cost for the Create Your Own Ice Cream Sundae is $0.75/ ounce. Disney Early Morning Magic Events Announced for Toy Story Land

How magical would be to visit Toy Story Land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and have little to no wait for Slinky Dog Dash, Alien Swirling Saucers, and Toy Story Mania? Pretty fun, right? I’m here to share with you a new wait to make that happen!

Popular at the Magic Kingdom, Disney Morning Magic allows guests to purchase a separate ticket along with their daily park admission and enjoy Toy Story Land before the park opens to the public. With only a limited number of tickets available for these events, it’s a great way to be able to ride the popular attractions without the long waits.

In addition, all guests attending this exclusive event will be treated to a delicious breakfast featuring a continental buffet with yogurt, fruit, pastries and assorted cereal, as well as your choice of a main dish like avocado toast or fried chicken served with a tasty cronut. The breakfast setup will be available at a select quick-service dining location outside of Toy Story Land.

Exclusive Disney Early Morning Magic access to Toy Story Land takes place on the dates below from 7:30 AM to 8:45 AM. Breakfast will be available until 10:00 AM.
