During our Pixar Fest adventure this weekend we took some time out to try out the Tomorrowland Skyline Lounge Experience which made its debut last summer and has been on our bucket list ever since. For those of you who haven’t hear about it, it was created as a sort of fireworks dessert party held high above Tomorrowland to create some breathtaking views.
Lounge is open from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM and check-in begins 15 minutes prior to event start time at the Tomorrowland Expo Center ramp near Alien Pizza Planet.
Once you check-in you’re given a pretty cool lanyard and a wristband that does allow you to come and go as you please during those 2 hours.
Make your way up the ramp to the second floor to check out these amazing views…
But the lounge is pretty cool all by itself.
Yep, the camera isn’t playing tricks on you, the tables are glowing!
Included in the price of the experience is a treat box containing seasonal fruits, cheese, and assorted sweets, plus a choice of hot or cold non-alcoholic beverages. Ours included the following:
- Mickey Cloud Cake: Cream-filled sponge cake
- Chocolate Eclipse: Cream-filled chocolate cake drenched in chocolate
- Coconut Comet: Coconut-strawberry iced sponge cake filled with cream
- Planetary Pie: Mini cherry-filled pie
- Moon Rocks: Boursin herbed cheese, cream cheese, shredded cheddar and jack cheese, chives, pimentos, bacon
Board games like Connect 4 and Jenga were available to keep everyone happy too.
If a fireworks spectacular is scheduled, you’ll be able to catch a glimpse right from your seat. Please note that it’s not a direct view of the fireworks but they can be viewed from above the treeline.
The price for the experience is currently $45 per Guest (tax included; free for children under 3). Beginning May 9, 2018, the price will be $50 (tax included; free for children under 3). Separate valid Disneyland Park admission is required and not included in the price of this event. Advance reservations are highly recommended.
